I like it. Could probably be expanded to meet more nuances but.. seems okay to me at this moment.

@UnbornTao Alright You are right, a flower probably see just like a donkey. I shouldn't project on them. I mean of course, I am the only perspective right? Solipsism. Regardless, I have nothing to really argue about with your response other than, the limits of language and coming up against how words are used casually, and in different contexts. You have opinions about some models, or how words are used that doesn't relate the substance of what I am saying. Ramana, yes. The way a materialist uses the word consciousness is different than how a Non-dual Tantric uses it. I can use the materialist use, or I can use the non-dual use. Anyway, I think this is a waste of time ahah.

What sort advice do you want? Like the basic concepts or investing or what?

Man, for me it was so much fun. In fact, I will consider going through parts of it again this week. The concepts, exercises etc I found to be really useful and foundational. There is no magical life purpose out there in reality... For a lot of people their purpose is based on their values, interests, vision and these act as the foundations for a powerful purpose. How can you make a powerful purpose if you don't have those foundational elements? It's gonna be a multi-year process discovering it and then actualizing it.

Embrace the mystery, embrace not knowing. You don’t know reality when you fill your head with knowing (the Tao the Ching talks about how culture blinds itself with its belief systems and logic). ”The Master if the Tao Unlearns something everyday” By filling your head with concrete dogmas that are finite, you will lose out on the infinity of the empty vessel that is the Tao. which chapter is this from? I don’t recognize the language in my translation. Seems like a bad translation -

Becoming aware and becoming conscious are adjacent, correlated and related to one another. They can also be used interchangeably depending on context. I could say “choose to live consciously” “that was a conscious decision” “when I’m angry I make unconscious decisions” “when I am full of pride I make unconscious decisions”. Or “when I became conscious of God” even though I was God the whole time just as a materialist. Also, there is a difference between pure consciousness, pure awareness and of course when we say being more aware or more conscious. A donkey isn’t that aware. A flower and a sheep have different qualities Of awareness. Historically, survival needs have been different. Enlightenment can say little about how to act in life. It doesn’t mean you won’t kill people. Human development has many lines. There are also degrees of enlightenment/ awakening and these people likely weren’t God Realized psychonauts. An enlightened person could kill, or do anything I guess. Enlightenment also isn’t the only measurement of ones development. I like the 4 quadrant model of: Awakening, Growing up, cleaning up, showing up by Ken Wilbur. The Hawkins degrees of consciousness is a finite model and only one example of infinite models you could create. It’s more than an saying each level is an emotion, but a state relative to human existence and psychology and way of interacting with, seeing and being in the world. The highest states of consciousness discussed by him work well with the highest states experience in psychedelics. I assume you haven’t actually read the books or studied his work in any detail. Awakening at the highest levels gets into non-dual consciousness which is also included in Hawkins models. The highest awakening being infinite love. Awakenings actually do include relative things. To not include them, is paradoxically dualism. There are various ‘levels’ of awakenings, realizations and insights. All your emotions, states etc are Gods mind of course. The highest levels of God realization, I may not have reached yet. Though, there are awakenings I have had that are beyond all human psychology and emotion.

@Leo Gura Alright alright. Give me the pipe daddy. hehe

I use two system: One Note and Remarkable. I have them organized into different folders as I go about contemplating, studying, and working on projects. The Remarkable Tablet is use for when I am contemplating while reading or outside because it is a distraction free device and it integrates with my computer. Generally the folders go from more board to more specific. I use mixture of texts, pictures and links. It depends on the project I am working on. I back up my remarkable to a cloud that the company has... I back up my whole computer to an external hard drive. But, I need to think a more about storage and keeping things backed up. I'd like to learn more about that just incase I can do better. What about you?

Yes, I realize that. Everything that is, is equally consciousness as anything else. But, you as a conscious being can increase your ability to be more and more aware, of conscious of God, Reality, Truth and many finite relative aspects of reality. You can become more conscious of things than others through spiritual practices. A human may be conscious but lives very unconsciously. The homeless drug addict or the man full of hate is less conscious than the sage or prophet. David R. Hawkins has a neato map of the levels of consciousness and… even if it’s not perfect… psychedelics do in fact reveal the higher states and pull you out of the lower ones.

Be careful here. This to me sounds like Leo’s teaching coming through a dogmatic and ignorant lens. Spirituality, human behaviour, psychology etc exists on different levels. Not all teachers do the same work. Both Leo and her say stuff like “I’m the most woke” or “I am the most intelligent thing on the planet”. Eh, maybe you are. But, your still a chimp to God. I’ll take it with a grain of salt because I assume it’s ego. -

Yeah, this for me makes me question the integrity of the film makers. They definitely edited it to run their own narrative. Editing is a job that needs to be done with the intention of conveying truth. They, tried to spin their own narrative. I bet, there’s so many layers to this. She probably does have areas she needs to work on, and it’s likely the documentary went for shock value in order to make more money. I have a song lyric that is “There’s a demon in me, who saw a demon in you… so what are we gonna do? What are we gonna do?” seems fitting devils fighting over who is a devil ahah ill have to observe this over a longer period of time. Not my main focus. and, really the integrity of anyone involved with teal or any of her former students should be sniff tested for integrity too. I’m sure many were unstable before and after working with her. They may lie, be bitter or twist things. -
@JoeVolcano Yeah, it’s tricky business. Who we think is or isn’t conscious depends on our own consciousness.

I can say, that if you are contemplating, meditating and reading and you are grounded and healthy.. Experiencing these higher states can increase consciousness. How do you know someone is more conscious or less conscious just by looking at them? Why is he making such a clear distinction between states and consciousness. ? He makes a good point about, if you practice boxing you know a lot about it. If you contemplate you know a lot about it because you've done it a lot. However, he doesn't seem to extend this same idea to the psychonaut. So, at around 12 minutes he starts making an equal defense for psychedelics and an argument against his earily comments... Which were ambivalent. He makes a good point, if you are in an altered state are you really more conscious? Be honest with yourself about it. He says, investigate your awareness. Good points. He talks about how awareness is stable in sober states. "Get it for yourself" he says. He kind moves like Leo lol. At the end he basically goes off topic. He sort of answered "No" to the questions of psychedelics, though there was a bit of "Maybe" mixed in. Then he just talked about his own contemplation practice, the need for your own direct experience and then he rambled about elron humbard. He says "Don't believe me. Discover it for yourself" So, yeah. Thats true. Don't ask him about psychedelics figure it out yourself.

For starter, seek out teachers therapists and resources to address the trauma and don’t expect Leo’s work to address it. It’s good for big picture and deep understanding but these traumas will hold you back if you don’t get that help elsewhere.

@StarStruck Chinese Meridian system or The maps from Qigong -
The Future of Actualized video from today. It was a great episode. I sense I respect Leo more as a teacher, I believe in him to improve his teachings and his embodiment. I appreciated his perspectives on mental Illness, peoples maturity/ intelligence/ development, his teaching, the challenges he faces as an internet “guru”. It must be very challenging to balance it all, to feel the weight of responsibility etc From what I am observing he is a rare teacher, spiritual master and public intellectual in how he self reflects based on the principles of love, selflessness and consciousness. I appreciate that he sees his finite flaws. I personally grow a lot when I see a teacher do this sort of self accepted self reflection and admittance of flaws and sticking points. Looking forward to the courses and next 100 episodes. I also commit to being a better student and advocate for the highest teachings and wisdom that a human can know and embody. This isn’t about actualized for me but for God, Truth and Love and the well being of all future generations. Its clear to me he is grounded in Truth, understanding and providing as much value he can to man kind despite inner and outer challenges. He is an inspiration to all who can stomach him and his words and wisdom will likely ripple through human consciousness development for thousands of years. Keep doing what your doing Leo. Peace
