  1. @Majed It’s not a waste depending on your goals. It just won’t bring you, by itself to the highest realizations
  2. Even just 10 minutes of meditation a day you will notice changes. Some people can’t meditate 3 minutes
  3. Just live and enjoy the life. Who cares what it’s absolute nature is when there’s music, food, growth, love…
  4. @playdoh The book “Full Catastrophe Living” Jon Kabatt Zin is really powerful for understanding meditation at a deep level. He talks about all this stuff and makes great distinctions.
  5. @playdoh I think the best thing to do would be do both techniques (body scan and focusing on breath) at different times and notice the differences yourself and make it a experiential understanding. The thing about focusing on a breath is how it trains the mind. You focus on the breath, as thoughts come in and distract you, simply acknowledge them, and refocus on breath. There is a lot to be said about this and I can’t get into everything here. Body scan is really important but if your mind is scattered with thoughts and you haven’t trained it on the breath you’ll likely jump around a bunch and get distracted. These two practice compliment each other. The more you feel your body, and the more to notice toy breath opens up much possibility. I do thing sitting meditation and focusing on the breath has huge benefits for being able to train the mind, observe cognitive functions, let go of story, be with what is, developing a neutral self observation skill, etc Body scan is also a really important skill and when combined with yoga, Qigong, breathwork, diet, and mindfulness gives you a super power that many people miss out on… emotional mastery and self regulation.
  6. @Someone here But, also I say belief because there is no physical reality, causality, logic, time, space, etc other than what you believe as this universal mind. You were never born, you don’t exist, there is nothing here. But, you believe there is in your little dream. It’s as if Blank. So reality is consistent. theres layerssss
  7. Keep going
  8. @Julian gabriel I’ve experience love to be a total lack of bias, a total hands off and surrender instead of a controlling sort of thing. But, I need to contemplate the facets of love. Interesting post, something for me to contemplate on. This to me seems more like ego and attachment… wanting power and control over others. I wonder if this is a trap actually? The trap of confusing selfishness with God’s love. I also have these feelings if wanting to control others. I think this is sort of commons amongst humans because it seems to have more power over reality means getting what we want.
  9. Last time I heard about Leo he was having all kinds of awakenings and thinking he was Alien God. I also notice no new videos. Wondering if he is okay?
  10. @Julian gabriel I don’t know if I understand you. You say you have a deep desire to manipulate others? Can you explain how that relates to love? Can you define love?
  11. I gave it a first listen recently and I didn’t super resonate with the guitar in the records. Lots of mistakes it sounded to me. I’ll give it another listen.
  12. @Tahuti I laughed really hard at this! Sounds like a great day.
  13. In my view, part of development is to find balance and develop understanding balance of certain dualities: backbone and openness. For example when we work and develop ourselves this’ll include developing our backbone and standing in our truth. Not letting the opinions of others push us around, etc Yet, it can also include being more sensitive to others, self reflecting, being more conscious of how our behaviour affects others, better communication skills, being less selfish and more community oriented, desiring the well being of others, etc These can both be developed at the same time and I think should be. Then you develop an intricate balance between the Kan and Li (to use Qigong terms) of communication and interaction with other. A tree is strong because it is resilient, shares, and acts in accordance with its ecological needs. Not because it is stiff, selfish, rigid, bigger than others etc.
  14. Yeah, I am basically wanting to be treated with respect on the forum. The mechanisms and cognitive processes of how we deal with our emotions when interacting with people are rather complicated. To some degree suffering is self created and it’s something I work on everyday as I become more aware of how everything interconnects. At the same time, when communicating with people I am biased towards being treated in a manner I perceived as respectful. When someone is speaking down to me, hyper analyzing me, projecting on me, schooling me, correcting me, not listening to me, cherry picking aspects of my response, gas lighting me, acting superior to me, etc These are things I’d like to avoid. So, part of my process is to work on myself internally. Yes that’s all good and well. But, also I’m not going to be a doormat to jerks. So, I’ll ignore and/ stand up to these individuals when they act in this way. Someone like Razard has a lot to offer the forum. However, at this time given my last few interactions he will remain ignored. Also his refusal to approach this with humility, self reflection, and love suggest to me a much lower development level than he preaches. Which I hesitate to say out loud.
  15. @integral Number one rule of the forum is don’t be a jerk. Need I say more? Also note the double standard here in your attitude. And if people can’t see that from his communication style, that’s another thing we can work out as a community. I’m willing to see different perspectives here. But, I’m also beginning to ignore people who are chronically acting in ways I find jerk like. Part of the reason I’m doing this is because I do act like a jerk on here too often. So, I’m no longer even going to engage or see these peoples posts as I go about purifying myself of my jerk.
  16. @OBEler Yeah, it was probably best. Somehow he set himself up as an authority here. He seemed nice enough to me when I was going through a hard time. However, as a mod he was more than questionable at times. How things were handled with the dividing of forum was unfortunate too. I think Leo did the right thing.
  17. @Zeroguy Idk, It’s definitely different.
  18. @thepixelmonk added to ignore list. Anyway, just checking in! I know last time I read the thread one of the mods posted he was going through this mind opening. But, haven’t heard about it in few weeks.
