  1. The better example we can all set, and the more consciousness, heart and love you put into the forum the better it will become.
  2. @StarStruck Even older people can make great gain with Holden Qigong
  3. @LastThursday Yeah Baby! That’s what I teach my students
  4. @Federico del pueblo From what I am researching it is many things all at once. You have to look at how stress and trauma works throughout the whole body. By beginning to develop a theoretical and experiential understanding you can make great growth in your health, consciousness and spiritual development. 1. Our mind and body are connected. Stress and trauma is held in the organs, tissues and nervous system. 2. In Chinese medicine and the Tao each organ plays a role in different types of emotions. The brain isn’t just in the skull but in the gut and body as well. It is worth while studying the 5 Elements, meridians, Qi theory, and the three treasures. There is increasing body of western science confirming this ancient understanding of the organs. 3. We tend to tense up our bodies when we are stressed. We numb ourselves and avoid feeling emotional discomfort. We store up this negative energy in our tissues and energy centres. By doing exercises like body scan, and various types of Qigong and self massage you can begin to purge these toxic emotions. You can than cultivate healthy Qi, or life force energy, store in your Qi vessels, and circulate it through the body. When you purge these negative emotions and begin to charge up your bodies Qi battery you can begin to feel extreme juicy pleasure throughout the body. I have confirmed this through my practice. It feels incredible. Emotions are physiological. Not just held in the brain but happening with the whole body. 4. I also recommend you study Polyvagal theory. Many negative emotional patterns need to be dealt with a “Top Down” approach by changing our state of consciousness through tripping, doing talk therapy, journaling, and rational emotive behavioural therapy type work. Then, we must also do “bottom up” by doing things like Qigong, ecstatic dance, body scan, Tao Yin, Krya yoga, etc… work that helps us purge stress, regulate the energy body and nervous system. When we combine both bottom up and top down approaches we can develop greater emotional stability and inner juiciness.
  5. @mr_engineer That’s none sense. There’s nothing about a forum being free that says “anything goes”. It’s a private piece of online real estate, it has guidelines, and a function. If people can’t follow the guidelines and maintain a relative degree of integrity they shouldn’t be here in my opinion.
  6. @mr_engineer It’s like we are in a university class and you are like “Tottlers should be allowed here! And screaming babies! And the homeless! They need education too!” There are people here who chronically get swept up in needless drama and foolishness. There’s no point in them being here. In order for the forum to function and to be of value to anyone… we can’t have screaming, running kids making a mess of everything. It’s fine to lack some maturity… but to be blatantly obnoxious, toxic, abusive, disrespectful, constantly in trauma and spreading your sickness around… not here. The forum actually has guidelines. Leo has been very lax in enforcement.
  7. I suppose absolute truth runs through everything. But no, if I don't agree with you I will simply disagree. Be wary of spreading foolishness disguised as wisdom. A big part of developing wisdom is a keen discernment. Do you see me as an actual person you are talking to?
  8. @Leo Gura Well, my ears were stretched in high school, does that count?
  9. @tuku747 Can you notice how words are pointers? Yeah, videos, books, etc are useful and important for humans to learn. But, you will not realize God at the level of symbols. There are many techniques talked about here which help us go beyond words. “The Tao the can be spoken is not the real Tao” - Lao Tzu Words can be really powerful don’t get me wrong. But, don’t turn words into your God. You would be making a large error.
  10. @tuku747 Your opening post talks about enlightenment and God realization. I am trying to understand you better.
  11. I am am not sure what you are talking about. Words, thinking, mantras, intentions, or intellectually collapsing dualities, even sober mediation will not likely create deep states of God Realization. There’s so much going on here. What resources are you studying? please do not ignore this question.
  12. @tuku747 I don’t understand the point of this post, where are you coming from? Why are you focused on words and symbols? What does enlightenment have to do with reprogramming your mind or beliefs? You don’t become/ realize God by playing around with some words. Words play a role in your life as a human and your cognitive behaviour. Words play a powerful role as a human. But, enlightenment is going beyond that finite symbolic system and even past generally experienced human cognition. What sorts or practices, techniques are you doing and what resources are you consuming?
  13. Way outside my understanding. Best to just respect the tolerance until a safe method is developed at least. I have no interest in it. Try to be mindful of potentially encouraging anything dangerous as well.
  14. @Javfly33 Yeah you can improve it I think with intentional practice
  15. He’s talkin bout me. I think that guy is interviewing has some kind of mental health problems. He is obsessed with just over working his body, suffering and suffering. It has value but… man. What’s the point in the end? Maybe he enjoys it.
  16. @Ulax I recommend spending an hour or two on Amazon, searching around. What are you reflecting on? Many of the self help books have journaling practices in it. If I knew a bit about the context even if just the surface maybe I can recommend something. I’ve scoured around. You can either go a guided approach, or a free flowing approach or a combo of the two.
  17. @Natita You be open and tell him the truth about what you want. It's okay to have sex with whoever you want just be conscious. Probably break up with him. Better than you cheating on him with a bunch of people. Unless he is cool with it.
  18. I don’t think I really understand what you are saying. Yeah, you can begin to see the higher world when you begin to focus on awareness, understanding, and seeing reality and yourself from an objective place. I think you will resonate with Vernon Howard’s books. They are juicy and fun to read and really help point toward this higher world.
  19. @Inliytened1 Hey, means a lot. Ahaha, Leo need not pay me! He gives, I give. I am here all the time.
  20. What do you mean by ujjayi breathing? Ocean breath?
  21. @Javfly33 I don’t see an issue with that title, though it may not mean much as the topic may not draw enough attention to be an “official” or “mega” thread. But who knows. You are encouraged to review the forum guidelines if you are ever curious what is or isn’t allowed here. It is encouraged I think as well to make posts with a sense of maturity and contribution. Humour is fine. I am happy to answer any questions people have about the guidelines as I continue to familiarize myself with them but encourage all members to review it. It’s up to you guys to think for yourself. Ask, “Am I willing to act with a sense of maturity and contribution to the growth and health of the forum?” The more of us ask this the more of a healthy and incredible resource this place becomes. Interesting observations, keep sharing what you discover as I am sure it inspires others.
