Thought Art replied to lostingenosmaze's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I really think, though I’m open to new perspectives that Leo’s teachings are dangerous because people are fools, and when it comes to radically opening your mind there’s a tonne, a tonne! Of traps. My journey wasn’t easy with this man. But, when I reached some of my deepest awakenings, when I see the smiles on my students faces, when I read the book list, grow, overcome challenges, apply the teachings etc… I am personally very grateful. However, I also know people who get lost in it. But, I struggle to know if that is solely Leo’s fault because there are lots of factors like that persons traumatic history, their cognitive abilities and education and life experience going into the videos. These videos are dangerous. Specifically the spiritual and deep topics of no duality, awakening and God realization and the use of psychedelics. Leo doesn’t hide that. Advanced!! This to me is obvious. But, they also have the potential to be very valuable. -

@The Mystical Man Interesting view ol boy. If I understand you correctly everyone is an abused, delusional retard except for you, and others who don’t like the videos and work. -
So many great answers everyone let’s keep this going. I like that people are touching up the total fundamentals of health and well being and then building up from there. I notice that sleep, nutrition and rest are some of the most fundamental forms of feeling well. Then, when we are acting throughout our day it’s important to act constructively towards our goals, cut out distractions and negative thinking patterns. I think doing some kind of meditation, journaling and exercise daily is very important. Having some non negotiable time everyday to work on a project that matters to you. Doing visualization practices, affirmations, reading books and consuming media that inspires you. Taking charge of understanding your finances, knowing how much you earn, how much you spend and keeping track of your pay stubs, or you business finances. Taking risks, pushing your comfort zone and growing yourself through direct experience. Going about your personal development in an order that makes sense for you. Not getting lost in grand ideas when rent is due. Learn to enjoy the process of mastering survival. It’s also important to just let life be lived… you can’t change the past. You can’t control the future exactly. Laugh at the world. Love yourself. Appreciate the small things. Play the game of life right from where you are not some imaginary place that is a absolutely out of reach. Sober living and learn to feel good sober. Build healthy relationships. Keep your house clean.

Last night I had a huge awakening during my sleep and realized I was dreaming my life, and it was a nice reminder none of this life stuff is a big deal. Been having lots of awakenings in my sleep for some reason since last trip. -

Except even if you think of Biden or Trump, you are already speaking about relative things… so…. Understanding God doesn’t mean you become a moron who can’t make distinctions and have opinions and values as a person. -
Interesting.

Some major reasons people don't live principled lives is: They don't study the principles They don't see the value of embodying high level principles They don't balance the study of principles with self reflection, inner work, contemplation and admitting when they were wrong They don't contemplate their own values to know which principles they want to embody I think a big part of living a life based on principles is reading and studying deeply the time tested principles in the art of mastering life, and your chosen field of mastery... as well as the mastery process in general. We should study the principles of success. We should work to embody them daily. We should strive to live a life of integrity in alignment with the principles of living a good life. Take responsibility for your life. Focus on your strengths and cultivate them. Set clear goals and make a plan to achieve them. Learn from your mistakes and failures. Cultivate a positive attitude and mindset. Practice gratitude and appreciation. Develop resilience and perseverance. Be open to learning and growth. Practice self-care and self-compassion. Surround yourself with supportive and positive people. Cultivate healthy habits and routines. Be adaptable and flexible. Stay curious and embrace new experiences. Develop good communication and social skills. Practice mindfulness and meditation. Be proactive and take action. Embrace change and uncertainty. Focus on what you can control. Practice empathy and kindness. Give back and make a positive impact in the world.

@KGrimes Leo? Osho? Sadhguru? There may be a number of rich people out there who are enlightened but don’t teach. Idk man, I don’t see what how having time and money would make it MORE difficult. Seems the opposite. -

Execept, the teachings of Buddha teach you how not to suffer which… includes avoiding the thoughts and behaviours that lead to it….. -

Thought Art replied to KGrimes's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It’s not necessary to get rid of things in life to awaken. Tantra has a lot of teachings around that. Awaken, and be rich. Why wouldn’t God want both?! -

Yeah but why? -
Thought Art replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Someone here Sure, maybe it’s possible to be that “Awake”. But, don’t bet on it alone. Instead master living well. There are example of ordinary people who embrace their suffering and die well. I really don’t think that is a measurement for awakening as is discussed by Leo, or Actualized. There is a far bigger fish to fry: God. -

If you talk about enlightenment ending suffering but don’t: 1. Eat well 2. Sleep well 3. Breath well 4. Move well 5. Money well 6. Think well 7. Behave well 8. Trip well etc, you will suffer Waking up, is only a single line of development and there are others that matter. A well balanced life is the best antidote to suffering. Be well educated, take care of your mind, body and financials. If you want to end suffering, do as the Buddha says in the sense he says to study it objectively and develop a deep understanding of its root causes. The reality is to end suffering enlightenment is not the sole solution. Non-attachment is quality of a developed mind. But, even then… an enlightened mind could, objectively observe his suffering. Be with it, and in that way heal from it while others would not. Again, all this is very slippery. Biddhism teachers the principles of right action, right thinking, right eating, etc because an enlightened person realizes if they don’t align themselves with the principles of living well they will suffer. -

Identify with whatever you want if I put a nail through your hand and no medical attention you will suffer. Even if you “don’t identify” with it. However, yes you can learn to feel very good with Toasist inner alchemy, books, self esteem, mastery of life and you mind body in general. Awakening and seeing it’s a dream helps. I just think saying enlightenment fixes everything is false. It does, and then and doesn’t. -

@LSD-Rumi No. Focus on grounding yourself. You are making a fool of yourself. I saw your comments from today.
