  1. I don't think that is good advice at all. I mean, if your family has that sort of approach to money and they want to support you etc that is good. But, becoming self reliant is important. Learning to make your own way in the world. Most people would piss away free money I think. Waiting for your parents to die so you can inherent their money. To me, that is silly silly.
  2. Funny, deep, peaceful short series mate
  3. Chatgpt could help you and then you can see and do the contemplations yourself. Ask prompts like... "What are the factors I should consider when choosing a place to life" and keep refining it to suit you and your contemplations. Your going to be considering things like job opportunities, cost of living, culture, family, environment, safety, etc. Eventually, your going to have to decide and you wont have all the information. But, you'll learn from deciding.
  4. @funkychunkymonkey I also relate to that cringe. Part of why I was lucky to study under Lee Holden for Qigong. I don't really like, the feeling of when white people are really grasping at the culture which these techniques come from. I want to learn the core of the techniques, but I don't need to Chinese, Japanese, whateverness as much. It has some beautiful aesthetic qualities and I think it's important to respect the roots of techniques... But I try to avoid the culture cringe as much as possible in my Qigong teaching.
  5. @Princess Arabia I think people need connection. We need more leaders holding spaces for people to network and meet people at local levels all over the world. We need committed leaders creating healthy social containers. We need people willing to work to shift culture over the next 100 years. Solving the loneliness epidemic, the touch epidemic, the love epidemic, the trust epidemic will take a long time.
  6. Let the man do his thing. Focus on your own work. There is also plenty to review in old videos. Perhaps do an inventory on whats worth reviewing. I locked this just because I see a few of these pop up now and then. He will/may return when he is ready to. His reasons are his own. I don't speak for him obviously.
  7. @UnbornTao Still, I think people not having friends and relationships is proving to be damaging to society.
  8. Addiction isn't a crime. It's a mental illness, running from pain. He may have committed crimes that is granted.
  9. How do people feel? Are they lonely? Do they have close friends?
  10. @Danioover9000 I don’t think technology really solves the loneliness issue. This forum for example does nothing for my loneliness. Even, though I’ve been enjoying using apps like Pace and Meetup.
  11. I think if psychedelics are your only spiritual practice that would be a mistake. I think Zen can offer a lot to your daily life. I personally do not practice Zen, but have interest in learning about it more deeply. I think Zen, and its practice can help develop a mature mind. Especially in the age of constant distraction, stimuli, and toxic media… and all the bad influences. If you used Zen, in combination with journaling, contemplation, Qigong, psychedelics, reading spiritual books, etc and you did these things maturely you have a solid foundation for living a spiritual and contemplative existence.
  12. Does IPEC have a module and coaches to help you with that?
  13. I think he wants to help the world. I generally think he is a good guy.
  14. @Leo Gura Become enlightened one tree at a time. 1 down, 2.5 billion to go.
  15. He seems to want to save the rivers and plant trees! Evil Sadhguru. This summer I planted 100,000 trees 🌲. Hopefully, the people planting them get paid and aren’t just volunteers. It’s a hard job.
  16. What is love? Thats all I want to know. How to love humanity and the human experience. How to love myself, others. How to cultivate love in my work and self expression. Do you know what Love is? The point of life is to find out How to Love Maturely, spiritually is the point of life Love and Wisdom tldr: Good music!
  17. Great study, reading and contemplation music to me.
  18. I like to share songs. I’ve decided to keep them all in this thread.
  19. Shattered in history Shattered in paint Oh, and the lengths that I'd Stay up late But brought to my space The wonderful things I've learned to waste I shoulda known That I shouldn't hide To compromise and to covet All what's inside There is no design You'll have to decide If you'll come to know if I'm the faithful kind Time and again (Got all that I need) It's time to be brave Content to the phrases That at dawn, we ain't mazes Just some kind of pages This for my sister That for my maple It's not going the road I'd known as a child of God Nor to become stable (So what if I lose? I'm satisfied) Am I dependent in what I'm defending And do we get to hold what faith provides? Fold your hands into mine Do I believe in Seeing every time I know it's lonely in the dark And this year's a visitor And we have to know that faith declines I'm not all out of mine
