I never really thought of any source other than myself as an alternative for deriving answers, at least not consciously. I used to be a stage Blue fundamentalist, but never really gave authority so easily, even while being religious I was always skeptical and I would try to look for convenient beliefs with "reasonable/logical proofs". The point is that I never fell for the trap of losing my own authority, I always had it, but I used to force myself to give it away. I always knew that no information was needed whatsoever. Now I know that no amount of information will ever be near from enough. Now I know that I don't know, that I will never know, and that I need to always learn. So, I guess I'm at the best place one can ever be, and I'm really grateful for this. (Lost the point again). The point is that I always rely on my direct experience (or whatever I think it is), not on the theory I learn. To me, practice comes first, and then the theory.

To me, it's the balance between care and detachment.

The people you think of as "most highly conscious" are a projection of your own creation. Someone else could say the exact same thing about Justin Bieber.

@pluto The truth is boring. People love the illusion, at least 90% of them (myself included).

Real women are as boring to me as the nice guys are boring to girls. Guess I'm really immature ?

Why am I not attracted to a flat chest? Why are women attracted to bearded men? Because of the media. Why am I not attracted to an easy, needy, or demanding woman? Why are women attracted to strong, confident, and detached men? Because of society. Why am I attracted to naked (shapely), slutty, or dirty women? Why are women attracted to bold, macho, and dirty men? Because they're sexy.

I have many reasons for why I don't want to invest in that dynamic. I don't want to share them here. If things were different for me, I would have probably done it differently. Right now, this is my decision.

It does not take time or effort or even experience to make fun of other people. Perhaps he's ignorant about this work, but at least, the guy in the opening post was being honest and had good intentions. It's tragic how the people who claim to be the least egoic can act the most arrogant, eh?
