Ultimately you have to listen to your own body as the highest authority. I’ve been a vegan. I’ve done keto. I’ve counted macros. I’ve been vegetarian. I’ve done intermittent fasting. Hell I’ve even done a week long prolonged water only fast. At my core what I care about most is what works meaning what makes me feel the best. And for me that’s a high fat carnivorous diet made primarily of organic grass fed beef and suet. All I do is share what works for me. If you feel like you’re at the pinnacle of your possible health then keep doing what you’re doing. Whether that’s eating red meat or not. But if you’re not looking & feeling like a superstar who’s full of energy every day then I say keep making adjustments.

It’s hard to know the degree of awakening another individual has. However it’s easy to see when someone has a deeper level of understanding of reality than myself. I simply try to extract from their teachings and focus on my own development. -

@Raptorsin7 congrats on making it through! What do you mean when you say it opened up a whole new dimension of spirituality for you?? -
Learning how to appreciate beauty & creativity has changed my life. I used to could only do things that I labeled as “productive” and would feel guilt any time I left those sorts of activities. Now I take the time to paint, watch movies, go to museums, watch cool YouTube videos without feelings of shame around them. In fact creative activities like dancing and day dreaming in my hammock give me great joy/pleasure even if they’re not “productive” in the traditional sense.

@kray I know multiple people that have cured their IBS with a carnivore approach. If this doesn’t work for you then that could always be the next thing to look into Hope you find some relief soon!

I’m interested to hear how these changes impact you. I for example eat 100% red meat. I do carnivore and only consume organic grass fed beef. Never felt better.

Thanks for the resource. Will try this out

Idc that much about what Leo does in his free times Focus on the teaching

I prefer fat from organic grass fed beef. I’m doing carnivore and consume about a pound and a half of beef per day and about 6-10oz of suet per day. Whenever I eat pork I notice an inflammatory reaction whereas with the beef there is no such reaction.

Make sure the nuts you’re getting don’t have any vegetable oils in them. I prefer raw nuts although at this point I've mostly cut out nuts as my body doesn’t fully digest them.

You wont gain any muscle during a water fast but you’ll certainly lose body fat so that can help with leaning out and getting the lean, muscular look you want. Yes you still want to weight train during a prolonged water fast but you’ll need to dial back the intensity. Simply focus on getting your 7-9 hours of sleep per night, getting enough protein in (at least 1g per pound of lean body mass) and do resistance training on a regular basis. Doing those things will help you gain muscle then the fasting can help you drop BF%

Would love to hear from you once you get back from the retreat. It’s a goal of mine to do a 10 day vipassana retreat within the next year -
When I realized that I was balding I literally shaved my head bald just to get comfortable with the enevitable… However I do find a buzzed look fits me well and the balding is much less noticeable

I watched the first episode and really enjoyed it. The therapy sessions bring me to tears.

If you’re doing serious contemplative work while tripping then solo is the best way. That’ll become obvious to you when you start getting into higher doses. I still love to trip at raves with friends but that’s social activity, not deep spiritual work. Being around others is generally a distraction to the inner work being done. It’s hard to truly dive deep within one’s self when there are other people around and social norms that are being followed.

For what it’s worth I’ve had illegal substances that I was mailing in seized by the government a couple times and nothing bad happened. (Other than losing my monies?) They just sent me a letter in the mail both times saying they took my controlled substance. I live in the US btw.

@Someone here nutmeg is one of the the least enjoyable highs I’ve ever experienced. Definitely not psychedelic. Morning glory seeds (and Hawaiian Baby Woodrose) are a legitimate legal psychedelic high. ^However these are a very physically miserable and that’s probably why Leo doesn’t recommend it.

Look up “snake juice” and drink that during an extended water fast. That’s it. It’s essentially just water with electrolytes.

@something_else my personal fav is using pants that have zip pockets any time I go out. That or I’ll wear a phanny pack with my phone/wallet in it

The issue is how vague your life purpose is… ”to find answers that will make people reach their full human potential” gives me little idea what you’ll actually be doing. I mean it seems evident that it’s important for you to help people. That’s a good start and I applaud you for taking on that pursuit. However you’re so young still. I think you should focus on exploration. You’re off to a great start. Keep doing personal development and try lots of new things. Then come back to the LPC every couple of years and go through it again as you learn yourself more (that’s what I’ve done over the last 6 years or so). Your life purpose will get more clear as you gain that life experience. For the time being, learning programming sounds like a great place to start
