  1. His approval ratings aren't going down because of this. This impeachment is completely counterproductive.
  2. Seeking foreign assistance from who? Ukraine? The investigation started in 2017 when Trump was trying to investigate the Obama administration for installing a coup in Ukraine. Did Trump know back then that Joe Biden would run? Maybe, but it wasn't certain and Biden hadn't announced. Or are you referring to assistance from Russia, to which no evidence of that has surfaced. However, there is evidence of the Clinton campaign paying Russia for dirt on Trump in 2016 before the election: "By contrast, the Clinton campaign proactively sought dirt on Trump from Russian government sources. They did it through cutouts. In April 2016, Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias retained opposition research firm Fusion GPS to compile incriminating information on Trump. Fusion GPS in turn hired Christopher Steele, a former British MI6 operative with sources among Russian government officials. The result was the salacious dossier, whose sources included “a senior Russian Foreign Ministry figure” and “a former top level intelligence officer still active in the Kremlin.” Steele’s work was paid for by Clinton’s presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee. That means a paid agent of the Clinton campaign approached Russian officials for damaging material on Trump." https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/the-clinton-campaign-sought-dirt-on-trump-from-russian-officials-wheres-the-outrage/2018/08/02/dee4be12-9672-11e8-810c-5fa705927d54_story.html Two wrongs don't make a right, of course, but let's be objective here. Do you think what Hillary did was wrong? This may sound conspiratorial, but I find it to be too coincidental that the Ukraine phone call investigation resurfaced during this stage of the democratic primaries as an attempt to distract the public from the progressive candidate, Bernie Sanders, surging with polling and donations as the corporate Dem candidates are weakening.
  3. As is described by Ken Wilber. Integral Theory is very important for future systems to implement and is complex. Could you please make a video explaining this theory?
  4. We don't know who is worse unless we take the tine to compare everything they've done. They both have millions of skeletons in the closet. However, to be fair, the Clintons have had more opportunity than Trump to cause more actual harm on people, millions of which ended up dying because of their prison, economic, foreign, and trade policies. You're right on not giving Trump the benefit of the doubt though lol, ever! Then again, I wouldn't give corporate Dems the benefit of the doubt either. Their incompetence is what gave us Trump.
  5. I will start out by saying that on many issues, I agree with TYT, but the following is one of many examples of why I unsubscribed from them and why I believe they may be causing more harm than good to the progressive movement. In addition to receiving millions of dollars from a Hillary Clinton surrogate, TYT has members like Ana Kasparian who is "honored" to speak to Madeline Albright, one of the main players responsible for the death of 500,000 children in Iraq as a result of sanctions implemented during the Clinton administration. Being conscious includes taking care of the Self, which includes everyone. Is it conscious politics to not question or hold former people in power accountable for their devilry?
  6. Why having Bernie supporters attack Yang and/or Tulsi supporters and telling them to drop out is counterintuitive:
  7. I am surprised that this was released in the Washington Post considering they have ties with Bezos and the Pentagon. Craig Whitlock reveals secret documents that expose the decades of lies that the Bush, Obama, and Trump administrations kept from the public about the war in Afghanistan. We really need to reform our political system to get dark money out so that we stop being lied to into these senseless wars paid for by our taxes. https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2019/investigations/afghanistan-papers/afghanistan-war-confidential-documents/
  8. @Sizeable Oof Morality is an illusion. However, don't confuse this with low and high consciousness. When you have high consciousness you're more likely to do some of the things you are currently perceiving as "moral."
  9. @Etherial Cat The thing with this madness is also that each election the neoliberal party shifts more and more to the right while the fascist moves even further right.
  10. @CaptainBobbyOlsen Thank you, I saved it to read and watch later.
  11. Do you understand how money works? Where does it come from and what gives it its value? This video series can warp your comprehension on economics. It can also help you understand why our government actually can afford certain things and why we can't have them with the current system. I would like to hear your thoughts. This video series corrects a lot of misconceptions the majority of people, even some progressive media, have.
  12. "Yet an Observation is not a Judgment, and a Description is not a Condemnation. We would benefit a great deal from noticing the difference." - Neale Donald Walsch Many asked after the 2016 Presidential Election, "How did we get here?" "How do we fix our problems?" What problems am I referring to here? Our country's? Our countries'? Our planet's? Is the solution to just get rid of Donald Trump? Should we focus our energy on researching information on him and those close to him exclusively to try to get him out of office? Or is there something deeper? Why did people vote for him? Why did he win? From my understanding, a stage green spiral dynamics person would put most of their energy on Trump and those close to him. When discussing about politics, most of the conversation will be about how horrible he is, how much of an idiot he is, how incompetent he is, etc. Will this approach solve our problem? This has lead to people developing "Trump Derangement Syndrome," in which any action he does is seen as the problem and no deeper insight is searched. A stage yellow person would go deeper. They'd focus their energy researching the system that gave us Trump. What led people to vote for this guy? Well, let's take a look at what he was promising. More jobs Protection from immigrants who are "stealing the jobs" Ending the wars which are being spent with our taxes Ending trade agreements like NAFTA and the TPP which are taking jobs away domestically for cheap labor overseas Draining the swamp Why did people want this? Weren't the Obama years great for people? Well, let's take an actual look at what Obama did that may have made people unhappy with their financial wellbeing. He overcompromised with the Republicans He took money from the same corporations that fund Republicans He expanded the wars on "terror" (oil) from 2 (Iraq and Afghanistan) to 7 (Syria, Lybia, Pakistan, Somalia, and Yemen) He bailed out wallstreet (cost trillions) Got rid of habius corpus Joked, laughed, and said the water in Flint, MI was fine (it wasn't) Overproduced oil in the US Increased fracking in the US Increased sanctions on several foreign countries and oversaw coups Gave us Obamacare, which on paper is essentially Romneycare, not what he promised in 2008 or 2012 Made the Bush tax cuts on the rich permanent Passed no economically progressive policies when he had the majority of the house and senate in 2010 Had his cabinet handpicked by the banks that funded his campaign Was promoting for the TPP and NAFTA even on his last days in office Whew, ok! I think that's just some of the stuff. So we can say many people were upset that we didn't get the "hope and change" we were promised and instead just got some tweaks around the edges after the detriments cause by the Bush years. Do you think people were going to be excited enough for a Democrat who made it apparent that they were going to continue the Obama legacy, saying everything is fine and that we can't have progressive policies that the rest of the developed world has like universal healthcare and free public college? You know, fixing the problems from their day to day lives? Ensuring more money in their pockets and not having to worry about expensive medical bills? Do you think many progressives were going to remain enthusiastic about supporting a candidate who legitimately cheated the progressive candidate during the democratic primaries? Who used her power and her billionaire donors that own the MSM to smear the progressive and spread misinformation? Who told the MSM to run hours of footage of Trump's empty podiums at the start of the race and ignore Bernie's stadium-filled speeches? https://observer.com/2017/08/court-admits-dnc-and-debbie-wasserman-schulz-rigged-primaries-against-sanders/ Should it be a surprise that the states that were most affected by the TPP, the midwestern states, voted for Trump? Were they all just dumb racist Trump supporters? No, many were two-time Obama voters... And Clinton didn't bother to campaign in those states. http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2017/05/it-was-obama-trump-voters-in-the-midwest-with-econ-anxiety.html The thing is, Trump is by far not the problem. He is a symptom of a much deeper problem that has led us to more and more corporate corruption and bigger income gaps. And the corporate Democrats that colluded with Hillary, like Neera Tanden, John Padesta, Debbie Wasserman Shultz, Donna Brazil, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, all continue to refuse taking responsibility for their loss. Instead they blame people with no money and no power like third party voters (which studies show actually would've had no significant effect, half the eligible voters didn't even vote, that is more significant), people who didn't go vote (why does our system make it so hard to take time to do it then? If they were enthusiastic enough they more than likely would've gone), Bernie supporters (more Bernie voters voted for Hillary than Hillary voters voted for Obama), black lives matters, Bernie Sanders, activists, etc. https://www.teenvogue.com/story/third-party-voters-2016-election And then there's the fake "Resistance" in which the corporate Dems (Pelosi, Schumer, Warren) vote for Trump's horrible cabinet picks, his increases in the military budget and war interventions on other countries. So if we want to fix the problem, a stage yellow person would acknowledge these issues. They'd focus their energy on these rather than criticizing a symptom which would only instigate further social divides. Rather than just concluding that we got him because people are stupid and voted for him or that it was racism or a foreign entity that helped him despite there being legitimate evidence, why not accept the systemic issue here? I will also add that it's one thing to acknowledge that there's a systemic issue (stage green stops here), it's another thing to acknowledge it and actually do the research to accurately understand the systemic issue (stage yellow). Stage green personal attacks on Trump can dangerously lead to culture wars, tribalism, and further social division. I'm not saying to never criticize Trump, I'm saying a stage yellow person would also criticize the system that gave us Trump even more. We (the 99%) need to remember that we are all united in our economic beliefs. The grand majority of us, Republican or Democrat or Independent, want economic reforms that'll benefit us and we want to put an end to corporate greed influencing our politicians and elections. As Kyle Kulinski also put it, you want to win over the people who voted for Trump by giving them the economic things they want, not shame them and call them bad as the Hillary-wing of the party has done. https://youtu.be/wt3G7WJj1ww
  13. I acknowledge and respect when people grow and change. However, Warren's recent actions as a Democrat and her flip-floppiness loses my trust in her. But when people remain consistent for 40+ years, how can I not trust you?
  14. Idt you've heard enough about Tulsi or Warren. Tulsi is a cosponsor of HR40, which is legislation to study more on reparations for descendants of slaves. She has a climate change legislation which is better than The Green New Deal because it actually bans fracking and it is called the "OFF fossil fuels for a better future act". She is developing her own single payer plan for healthcare. As I told Serotoninluv, she has her legislature for "Securing America's Elections Act." And she has many other legislature to end domestic corporate corruption. She also has introduced legislature with Bernie Sanders to increase the minimum wage and fair pay (HR 15, HR 582, and HR 1869). She talks about this in her speeches and town halls where she often exclaims "one job should be enough!" I think you dont hear enough about her because neoliberal-lites like TYT, Rational National, Michael Brooks, and Sam Sedar, and to some extent Mike Figuerito have blinded themselves into thinking they have to bash everyone except Bernie and fail to see her as his ally during the race as she moves the conversations on the debates to the left. The MSM is also doing everything they can so that you don't hear about her because they're so afraid of her, hence why they always smear her even more than they smear Bernie. Tulsi has also elaborated on her policies in more politically conscious channels like MCSC Network, Primo Nutmeg, Joe Rogan, Michael Tracy and The Rising show on The Hill. Also, to be fair, Cenk gave her a pretty good interview. On the other hand, Warren has a detrimental healthcare "plan" that she succumbed to under pressure and developed it over the course of a couple of days. This plan will in no way get passed because it tried to integrate it with immigration policies and it will be funded via head taxes, which business can find myriad of loopholes to get around it. Warren has also voted in favor of Trump's increase in the already bloated military budget twice. She supported the attempted coup in Venezuela and agreed with the coup in Bolivia. If you look at her record on foreign policy even further back, you'll see that she can get easily manipulated to get into wars. Not to mention her ridiculous claim that she'll invest in a greener military instead of reducing the huge budget and foreign interventions. Warren took corporate money from her senate race and incorporated into her presidential campaign. She also said on a TYT interview that she doesn't believe in unilateral disarmament because she is willing to take corporate money during the general election if she becomes the nominee. Her daughter also has pattons in several big money think tanks which donated a lot of money to the working families party, which later endorsed her over Sanders in a superdelegate-like voting process. These behaviors disqualify Warren as a progressive. And this is without even mentioning her not supporting Bernie in 2016, which was later revealed to be because she was in talks to be Hillary's VP pick. Oh yea, and she is also still meeting with Hillary Clinton behind the scenes for supposive advice.
  15. @Serotoninluv Not just him, but all corporate Republicans and Democrats unless it's some kind of bill that's funded by a company that wants to monopolize on all voting machines.
  16. @Serotoninluv This is definitely something to be concerned about. I also would argue that election integrity is the most important issue so that we dont live in a false democracy, like you said. Tulsi Gabbard a few months ago has introduced HR 1946 called "Securing America's Elections Act." She hopes that this can get passed before 2020 so that no domestic or foreign entity can interfere in federal elections. Unfortunately, the GOP and DNC establishments are not doing much to get this passed and it seems like they're ignoring it. There is also this below, which I have shown you in a previous post: "So, the liberals who are seeing this entirely through a partisan lens are missing the big picture and H. R. McMaster has basically been implanted in the Trump Administration after Michael Flynn was dimed out,as their direct channel into the National Security Kitchen Cabinet. Through H. R. McMaster, they implanted Fiona Hill, who is known simply for being at the Brookings Institute and writing a book-length attack on Vladimir Putin. She’s now kind of the in-house Russia expert. And another significant event happened at Munich when McMaster was on stage. A Russian senator rose from the crowd and asked McMaster if the US and the Trump Administration would be interested in any way on collaborating on cybersecurity and on de-escalating cyber attacks, basically, writing treaties against cyber attacks, and McMaster flat out rejected this proposal. This is the second time the US has rejected Russian proposals to sign treaties against meddling in cyber attacks. So, the Cold War continues with total liberal consent." https://thegrayzone.com/2018/02/20/can-trumps-neocons-exploit-russiagate-2-2/
  17. 100% of foreign policy issues affects domestic issues. What part of her domestic policy record was not progressive?
  18. Overall, the substances TYT was saying about Trump colluding with Putin and that this had an effect on our election were not proven. Focusing on the Russigate issue over other more harmful actions Trump was committing is not productive. In order to beat Trump, we need to focus on issues that will hurt him. The MSM Russiagate coverage and now the impeachment hearings are not hurting him, they're actually increasing his approval rating. Don't you think there's a more efficient way to damage Trump's chances of winning in 2020 by focusing on more proveable actions hes committed that have hurt the average American? Overall, Americans do not care about Russiagate and these new Ukrainiangate impeachment hearings. They care more about policies that are affecting their day-to-day lives.
  19. Bringing the conversation back to Ana and TYT, they have a lot of blinders on which spreads misinformation among people seeking to be progressive. In addition to them getting Russiagate wrong, that they meddled in our election and significantly impacted it, and in addition to them pushing for Clinton instead of election integrity which is more productive in fixing the country's problems as well as taking dark money from Clinton donors, Ana praised Madeline Albright, a SoS corrupted with corporate interests and who ultimately ended up killing millions of people in Iraq and who said it was worth it. What makes this praise worse is that Ana doesn't hold the same criticism she has for Tulsi Gabbard, a Democratic candidate who stepped down from her DNC Vice-Chair position to endorse Bernie Sanders after seeing the unfair treatment and rigging against him, towards Madeline Albright. Ana calls Tulsi an islamophobe even though Tulsi wants to end regime change wars which are primarily hurting muslims. On the other hand Ana praised Madeline Albright even though her actions killed millions of Muslims. The hypocrisy gets worse when you look back at Ana's comments during the night of the 2016 election when she said "there is a special place in hell for women who do not support other women." Well, why does she not support Tulsi Gabbard then, who is primarily campaigning to end wars and regimes that are started because of corporate greed and to get money out of politics? Yet she praises Madeline Albright, someone that promoted acts of regime change war for corporate interests? My goal here is not to demonize Ana, but to let people on this forum know about the low consciousness level and delusion that she and other members of TYT have compared to other political journalists and commentators on youtube. With Cenk, arguably the most conscious on that channel, leaving to run for congress, he will leave Ana in charge of TYT.
  20. @Serotoninluv I'm willing to hear what you have to say and try to understand.
  21. They're delighted to see us with such a dysfunctional and idiotic president. But Russia is not delighted to see him act in favor of the US oligarchs and against Russian geopolitical interests.
  22. We're in agreement here except that he's more of a useful idiot for his billionaire buddies in this country and for Israel and Saudi Arabia than for Putin. Trump's transparent incompetence is hilarious: What has Trump done that is useful to Putin and does this outweigh his actions against Putin's geopolitical interests? Do you also still believe Putin interfered in our election in a way that significantly affected the results? If so, how did he interfere?
  23. Lol, exactly. There's a stronger argument to be made of Trump being a Saudi or Israeli puppet.
