@Leo Gura Even cocaine?

I thought you are "far away". When you see something in the distance it is blurry, so maybe you want to come closer to it, if it intuitively feels good. Does the last comment from Nahm feel good for you? What of that do you want to be? My perspective is that I feel his last comment was an appeal to your potential will to FUCKING WANT pure goodness and compassionate selfless love. EDIT: Ok, enough derailing of the thread.

@Leo Gura @cetus @Serotoninluv What are your perspectives on this? -

I surely haven't explored & exhausted all the methods besides psychedelics. I sense that it requires a radical shift in perspective for me and from a few reports which are out there I got the sense that it is life changing. Transcend and include. I always wanted this, and if this wouldn't truly inspire & empower the "normal" life, I surely wouldn't have gotten into it. Regarding your 2nd post: I cannot answer its nature, but it surely is the implicit transcendence of the senses. Maybe the knowing that YOU ARE should be added to the list of senses. There are so many dials connected to the consciousness dial. I don't know the question to your 2nd question, but I get the hunch that even the answer isn't the answer. -
You are that even when you don't realize yet. Does the last comment from Nahm feel good for you? What of that do you want to be? Maybe this is so fucking inspiring that you finally see the potential in you to uncover & realize your hidden capacity.

@RWagner I read again my comment and saw that it could be misinterpreted. I want to share my perspective (without putting it on you) and clarify. Besides your dial of consciousness there is also the dial you turn in the creation of your music. Intuitively feeling into how you turn the dial can be a source of inspiration for you & others because you create the emotional state through your art.
-
@RWagner The state one can feel is potentially inspiring for life. The whole composition creates such unique painting that even some tweaking of one dial creates a different communicated feeling. Have you seen Leo's How Psychedelics Works video? Imagine turning a little dial and you can change the whole system. Feeling into it is important. Being truly guided by intuition and sensing what dial needs a turn. I don't compose or publish music, but it is so important to have massive experience in music and poetry and then to be guided by feeling. Otherwise you can get alot of things wrong, which wouldn't be bad because you can learn and create true brilliance.

I second that. I feel not good when listening to my music from a year ago. In fact, I deleted all the music this morning. Interesting to reflect back on what I liked to listen to and to predict what pattern in taste seem to emerge...

@billiesimon I have to stop reading all these FUCKING BEAUTIFUL trip reports. I cry and cry. I love you so much and yet somehow love less that you love me. Excellent writing my friend. The spacing and formatting is like a masterpiece. No... it IS.

@Consilience Thank you for sharing. Man, I can't hold myself to draw similarities to myself. Reading about your situation with college made me to ponder about my state of being because I feel that I have to got my university shit together before jumping into waters (am a foolish youngling, I know). All this love and I don't want to embody it. Having primed myself to be guided by intuition and then resisting it every second nontheless. There are so much tears because of seeing this difference. There is awareness of this state and I thought of getting a new perspective (enabled by lsd or shrooms) on my longing to hold on to my identity when I got my shit together. -
@Matt23 In the comments of the How Openmindedness Works video he said that he will do it.

I disagree with you. We need hot enlightened witch goth girls.

Obvious, but noteworthy aspect: Individual ego fits as much into a collective ego as there is the will of the individual to fit in e.g. to be connected by a common cause. Collective activities can enable the individual to realize its previously unknown potential; it can be selfishly utilized as a steppingstone for individual progress. Isn't this the effect of Einstellung? Agreed, it's a delicate dance and an art to change without opposition. -
Loving Radiance replied to Rodrigo SIlva's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Rodrigo SIlva People don't scrutinize their direct experience. See your direct experience and see how the fear looks like. I remember during my vipassana retreat I saw demon faces flying towards me and eating me up. However, I saw through this illusion. The illusions "want" to get your attention like the thoughts. With time you recognize your attention and its equanimous nature. You recognize yourself. -
Gratitude.

It is so fascinating to see what one is capable to do to defend oneself. I mean, there is so much beauty in twisting and turning, so much self-deception... and I am capable to create this on autopilot. Thank you for this wonderful example. -

@nexusoflife I weeped as you pointed to love and suffering. That hits hard home. I wonder, was there a phase in your life where you felt every moment how you refuse to align with love even though you knew it would be the thing to self-love and to be guided by intuition? Love this -
@DrewNows It is right that he criticises the pharmaceutical companies and the researchers that gain money out of drugs and that amateurish mistakes have been done in the studies (haven't looked them up). He is also right that people were conveniently stigmatized. Still, even before I watched the video I assumed that he stuck a needle and transfered less than a milliliter of blood from the one with HIV. You need more blood for that to happen. You need more exposure to get it. Now, in the video he says right before sticking the needle in that a doctor said it needs a larger amount to get it. That is right. Putting once a penis of a positive tested man in the vagina of a negative tested woman has the chance to transmit the virus, and there occasions where it isn't transmitted. The chance is increased the more you are exposed. Do I get a flue when I am unprotected in an environment with sick people for one occasion? Probably, maybe not. The chance to get the flue increases the more I am in (close) contact with people who have the flue. Do you have a newer source for me to inspect? I would love to see how people disagree with that on a scientific basis. Edit: There is a chance involved to get it. Edit 2: I watched it again. 0,22% (66/30000) of the at first positive tested 30k had actually HIV. That is right. You need at first a fast & simple test that has a high false positivity rate to be sure that none of the ones with HIV go undetected. Then the 2nd test which is much more accurate and slower can be made to confirm and exclude false positive ones. This is done for efficiency.

"How is it that people think that you can catch something that is not alive?" Whether or not an agent is alive is irrelevant to the ability to be contagious. Viruses can be catched. If someone has unprotected sex with another person who is HIV-positive, he or she can "catch" HIV. Perfectly healthy people with a healthy lifestyle can catch HIV. (I used some sentences from this source because the arguments were already debunked.) Not all points he makes are false (e.g. viruses are not alive (depends how you frame it) and people cause their own fear). Nevertheless, there are so many points addressed in the source so I let it be for now. He points out that he doesn't have an agenda or financial interest like facebook. Yet he himself has an agenda and it is not monetary; it is ideologial. Oh, I too have to watch out for my own self-deception @electroBeam Agreed.

@Arzack Hell yeah. Good that you grasped that. Maybe watch Leo's 3 part series on self-deception. Sometimes seeds fall on arid ground. Edit: Why do you want to bring this up?
