  1. @K Ghoul I prescribe you to watch the video above Edit: There is no need to defend yourself (aka attacking) against neutralempty. @neutralempty Name calling is not allowed no matter how frustrated you are.
  2. @StarStruck Watch this thingy to the end and then tell me what you think. Do you understand the vegan mindset? Do you know how they feel, why they feel? Can you feel compassion for those vegans that want to compel other people to adopt a vegan diet?
  3. If you believe so, then it is.
  4. Lay down Your sweet and weary head The night is falling You have come to journey's end Sleep now And dream of the ones who came before They are calling From across the distant shore Why do you weep? What are these tears upon your face? Soon you will see All of your fears will pass away Safe in my arms You're only sleeping What can you see On the horizon? Why do the white gulls call? Across the sea A pale moon rises The ships have come to carry you home And all will turn To silver glass A light on the water All Souls pass Hope fades Into the world of night Through shadows falling Out of memory and time Don't say We have come now to the end White shores are calling You and I will meet again And you'll be here in my arms Just sleeping And all will turn To silver glass A light on the water Grey ships pass Into the West
  5. If you did Vipassana meditation before, you could sense energy in every part of your body, and you would know where to "look". My ajna chakra is 3 cm above the point between the eyebrows. You can touch the area with a finger and let go while you have your attention there. Feel into that point just like you would feel into your fingertips when exploring a surface in the dark. I don't have yet experience of that. However I think that was already discussed in the first few pages of this thread. I assume it will be a different sound, just as the pulsating sensation of chakras which has a different flavor than the sensation from touch.
  6. Human Systems Dynamics Institute
  7. @Kid A It can take a few days for Leo to read PMs. No worries.
  8. @SirVladimir I appreciate you Best wishes!
  9. @Muhammad Jawad Good explanation. In vinyasa yoga sessions we did that for the entire practice to stay mindful. Ocean breath is a good description. Up to 12 times: inhale 15 sec pause 3 sec exhale 15 sec pause 3 sec
  10. @Ima Freeman Do you know the meditation technique of letting thoughts pass and coming back to focus on breath, sensation, counting, or mantra...?
  11. Meet our master (w/ English subtitles)
  12. I plan to plug rapé as Leo explained it here https://www.actualized.org/insights/how-to-plug-psychedelics. I read up on rapé and water would suffice to dissolve the active compounds like nicotine. What are your thoughts?
  13. Another silly question, is everything in your experience you? If not, how do you differentiate between that which is you and that which is not you? Have you ever considered to walk away or - in other words - let them pass by?
  14. @peanutspathtotruth I never thought of the steps (->) themselves, but now I see how you can deconstruct that. Danke dir.
  15. I can sense that I want to claim something coming in the near future. I also sense the tendency to put myself on a pedestal, imagining to be better & more advanced than other people. I know that we are on our own unique paths and nobody is more ahead than others, however there is still a huge pile of arrogance. So, do you know anything else to "do" than being aware of the dynamics at play?
  16. @Preety_India I see you and I thank you for your perspective. In case it sparked your answer, no, my questions in that case didn't come from a place of not-knowing but rather a curiosity of Hulia's perspective on that. My comment was rather an invite to self-reflect. I understand that you don't want to have more thoughts on this than necessary. ?
  17. Can you please explain how you came to that conclusion? Does being born with certain genetic variation equal an inherent incapability of understanding racism regardless of experience? Does being born with certain genetic variation equal having less rights than another person?
  18. @Daniela Good one! Maybe tag him @
  19. I recognize these kind of thoughts as possible ego boosters. I can attach to them and believe they tell something about myself and feel to better than others by putting them down in my mind, or I can just let them pass like in meditation. They usually don't feel good to me, so sometimes I don't indulge in them. I am not joking, how do you know they are part of you? On point!
  20. @Axiomatic What in the video do you see as sucking energy out of the content creator? Or in another way, how do you differentiate between content that sucks out energy and content that doesn't?
  21. I agree, there is a fine line between judging all black guys to look the same and confusing two similar looking guys. I haven't experienced overt racism in my upbringing and in this scene I saw Terry mistaking Joe for another guy. Switching the skin colour, confusing one white man with another one would feel to me to be just another mistake. That begs the question: am I blind to racism or am I just as blind as Forestluv (before his inter-racial relationship) in seeing the extent of racist behavior? I agree with @Consept. By focusing on racist aspects of the movie the core message gets easily dismissed. It is connected to "If you believe it is this way, then it's your reality" aka "You create your reality". This case is a good example how the mind can construct & maintain the identity's worldview as everything is used as a steppingstone to fit into the narrative. I wonder how one could jailbrake that. Questioning & recognition of the constructed lens is good. Awareness is good. Seeing oneself playing the character is good. However, I feel there is more. Even that can be repurposed to uphold a pov.
  22. I too get the lobster claws, but never got close to pain. Here is an explanation. Here is another one. Listen to your body. Slow down the breath, if you feel pain, or be breathless for some time, if it feels right for you. There is no need to rush, there is so much wisdom in listening to yourself.
