Such a great idea! Coincidences like suddenly getting acquainted with something new always have the potential to change someone's life. I myself can enumerate many of such situations and I'm very grateful for every single person like you who is eager to share good things. It shows lack of ego, lack of a sense of owning. Especially when you are divulging something which is not yours and you don't want credits for that. I really appreciate this. I wish I could do something similar in my country, but people here barely speak English. Whenever I want to share something in English with someone, I have to find translations or subtitles. SAD. Have a good day.

There is certainly a link between scapular pain and yoga plus workout plus prolonged sitting.

I also do yoga and work out. This combo might be to blame. Do you alternate between workout and yoga days? Also, what asanas do you usually perform? For how long have been doing yoga?
-
What a coincidence. I'm having the same. Could I call it synchronicity?

Mouth breathing is not just bad for your appearance, but also for your heath. By breathing with your mouth you lose all the mechanisms of the nose which prepare air for admittance to the lungs. Congratulations!

Such a pity.

Hello everyone! I recently got acquainted with the world of fermented food and I am very enthusiastic about it. Probiotics seem to be very beneficial to our gut flora and the maintenance of the immunity system. Yesterday I made sauerkraut. I loved it yet it is not totally ready. lol What are your thoughts on fermented food? Is it part of your diet? Thanks. Have a good day and take care of your body!

Thank you @Zigzag Idiot I am listening to the audiobook. It is a great source of contemplation!

That's great! Indeed. It is a good ideia to mimic Okinawa diet to improve health, but I never see people doing such a thing. Many cling to crazy diets when it's soooo easy to follow what is eaten in Okinawa. Almost everything they eat can be found everywhere. Could you elaborate about this water fasting? OFF-TOPIC: I would be glad to visit Japan someday... maybe when I'm better at their language. I'm still N4, but no worry, no attachment. I enjoy the path and I don't know where it is going to take me to. lol Do you appreciate Buddhism? Did you make a pilgramage to Shikoku 88 temples? It'd be my main desire If I visited Japan. Walking across the island, see all the history, being able to understand it deeply not just superficially...

Such a great observation! I just checked Okinawa diet and it has natto!! It is not even the core of their diet, but if you take into account a lifelong perspective, it has a great impact!

Thank you for your post! You talked about pickles, and I must say I love sunomono, but yes, it is added sugar, which is a no if you are looking for healthy food. I like the fact they go well with various other kinds of food, and especially alone. I ate my sauerkraut and did not feel the urge to mask its taste with another thing. I fully appreciated its crunchiness, juiciness, and sourness. It was a great experience. Not to say I'm boosting the benefits of cabbage eating it that way. This is a great stimulus for me to keep making fermented food!!

Well, considering that Leo sells a life purpose course, I will not look for his answers on this subject. And I'm glad to know others find the same. @Ethergave an amazing response on this.

In Letting Go, David Hawkins briefly talks about the glamour we project onto our desires, making them look better than what they are actually. It made me wonder about the life purpose topic and how this possibly conflicts with awakening. Could not the idea of life purpose be a hindrance to awakening? I mean, everyone has their own past and interests which shape their ego in unique ways. Just look at other people's lives and notice you don't have the same enthusiasm towards their interests and activities. Being a high consciousness person, you may appreciate and accept differences, but this will not make you have the same interests or competence that others do, it simply does not work that way. The interests you have right now you inherited from your past, what has nothing to do with your spiritual path itself. This said, it seems to me that the concept of life purpose can be an obstacle to awakening, since you cultivate your ego for a long time through this masked attachment. I really can not see a way to conciliate life purpose with spirituality. Should not we let go of attachments? Is not life purpose a kind of attachment? It is my first post. I am sorry if I'm breaking any rule. Have a good day!

@see_on_see I may be wrong, but you associate the concept of life purpose with actually doing something. You think If one does not have a LP then he will vegetate and die. lol My whole point was this over-emphasis on a purpose and how this can be nothing more than an attachment.

I always mistake one for the other. -
Thank you everyone. I appreciate all your replies.

@Septicaema@Commodent Hello. Thank you for your posts! What is direction besides attachment to a desire? Should not one let go of a desire and park in the present moment? This concept of direction or life purpose seems counterintuitive in view of a spiritual practice. You do your stuff in the now but still desire something bigger. Should not we live without thinking about results? Just do and be grateful for your present actions?

I do pre-meditative exercises like Goolf Ghoornan, Ardha Titali Asana, and Kawa Chalasana. They are part of my yoga session. I find them very useful! (You can find them on Swami Satyananda's book 'A Systematic Course in the Ancient Tantric Techniques of Yoga and Kriya').

@Aeris Hello. Thank you for your post! I myself have my goals but I don't think I have one as big as a life purpose. For a long time I thought this was a bad thing. Now, in my present understanding/awareness, a life purpose would only be bad. I don't need it and I'm grateful for that. @d0ornokey Hello. Thank you for your post! I appreciate Leo's attempt to conciliate 'practical' matters of daily life with awakening. This whole concept may be a case of 'two truths doctrine'. Life purpose is a relative truth, but ultimately empty. How many people notice such emptiness? Many Leo's viewers must strive to attain their life purpose without noticing its true nature. It is a trap to put much weight on a desire and hope it fulfils you.
