  1. Durability under all possible situations and circumstances can be seen as evidence enough. Yes, there are some principles that are tested enough adequately, and which can serve as lighthouses or beacons to navigate through the seeming chaos.
  2. If it is just a theory that's subject to change would obviously mean that the principle in question is not tested enough.
  3. Well, I like to read books dealing with principles that can be tested rather than stories. Stories or narratives emerging from someone's viewpoint tend to be biased as the vast majority of humanity is unconscious and portraying events in tones of black and white as per their conditioned subjective outlooks. And this subjectivity is similar or varies to the subjectivity of other human beings leading to consensus or conflicts respectively, but rarely leading to the truth.
  4. This book was written by Radha Rajagopal Sloss, who was the daughter of Krishnamurti's former associates Rosalind and D.Rajagopal. D.Rajagopal and Rosalind were assigned by the ageing Anne Besant to look after the young Jiddu Krishnamurti following the death of his younger brother Nitya. D.Rajagopal used to compile the speeches and talks of Krishnamurti for printing them and he did this for a long time. However later on Krishnamurti's friends found a lot of discrepancies between his recorded talks and the way they were printed and edited by Rajagopal with his own inputs which significantly distorted the messages. Consequently a rift with legal and financial issues came up between them as Rajagopal was egotistically adamant in his right or privilege to edit Krishnamurtis works as he pleased, and Rajagopal was subsequently prevented from editting Krishnamurti's works later on. This put a lot of strain in the lives of the Rajagopal's leading to the breakdown of their marriage, and narratives of betrayal was pointed at Krishnamurti for not being grateful enough to the Rajagopals for looking after him while he was growing and vulnerable. The bitterness that followed possibly induced Rajagopals daughter to spawn these insinuations against Krishnamurti, after his death when he was not even in a position to defend himself if needed. These details are available in the book , ' The light of Krishnamurti' by Gabrielle Blackburn. It is also possible that there was a wider and invisible conspiracy against Krishnamurti's legacy considering his teachings criticising organized religion and religious conditioning which would have upset many of the theocrats profitting from such a system. If the sheep get smart enough, they might start thinking for themselves and may even get bold enough to disobey the wolves who have been shepherding or conditioning them to the slaughterhouse of religious wars and conflicts without any issues for a long time.
  5. Attention is food for the ego, and too much of attention can indeed produce entitled super-brats who insists on 'my way or the highway' . They can be highly destructive due to a limited perspective of life. The brilliant German chancellor Bismarck considered the young German emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II to be a pampered and spoit brat who "wanted every day to be his birthday". Kaiser Wilhelm II heavily contributed to the outbreak of World War I through aggressive militarism, the abandonment of Bismarck’s careful diplomacy, and ill-thought policies that turned a localized Balkan crisis into a global conflict that resulted in the deaths of millions.
  6. "Awareness is primordial; it is the original state, beginning-less, endless, uncaused, unsupported, without parts, without change. Consciousness is on contact, a reflection against a surface, a state of duality. There can be no consciousness without awareness, but there can be awareness without consciousness, as in deep sleep. Awareness is absolute, consciousness is relative to its content; consciousness is always of something." ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj 'Awareness becomes consciousness when it has an object. The object changes all the time. In consciousness there is movement; Awareness by Itself is motionless and timeless, here and now.' ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj
  7. Dada Gavand is an enlightened sage of modern times who was influenced by the writings of Jiddu Krishnamurti and had spent time with him as a spiritual seeker in his youth. Dada's core teachings after his own enlightenment reflected Krishnamurti's philosophy, emphasizing silent watchfulness, choiceless awareness, and freedom from mechanical thought. I had created a thread on Dada Gavand's account of enlightenment ....
  8. Bruce Lee himself was influenced by Jiddu Krishnamurti's teachings, and the core of Krishnamurti’s philosophy—rejecting rigid ideologies in favor of unconditioned, honest self-expression and choiceless awareness—served as the philosophical bedrock for Lee's creation of the martial art of Jeet Kune Do. Lee was an avid reader of Krishnamurti's books, and his copy of J.K's book, Commentaries on Living 1st Series (published 1956) is heavily annotated and underlined. His own teachings on Jeet Kune Do mirrored J.K's own sayings. Krishnamurti famously declared that truth cannot be confined by any path, religion, or structured organization. Lee adapted this concept, famously stating, "Truth has no path," using it to reject the rigid, traditional forms of classical kung fu in favor of fluid, adaptable fighting. Jeet Kune Do serves as the foundational framework of modern mixed martial arts forms as well. It breaks away from rigid traditional styles, emphasizing efficiency, directness, and the philosophy of adapting any effective combat technique regardless of its origin. https://steemit.com/philosophy/@jokerpravis/jiddu-krishnamurti-the-philosophical-inspiration-behind-bruce-lee-s-martial-art-jeet-kune-do http://www.becoming.8m.net/bruce02.htm https://brucelee.com/podcast-blog/2018/7/31/110-bruce-lee-library-commentaries-on-living This shows how philosophical insights have been brought into applications in the martial arts, and I would say it is possible that Krishnamurti's teachings can spawn similar applications in various other fields as well.
  9. “Though we're conditioned to identify with the thoughts that pass through our awareness rather than with awareness itself, the awareness that is our true nature is infinitely flexible. It is capable of any and every sort of experience - even misconceptions about itself as limited, trapped, ugly, anxious, lonely, or afraid. When we begin to identify with that timeless, pristine awareness rather than with the thoughts, feelings, and sensations that pass through it, we've taken the first step toward facing the freedom of our true nature.” ~ Yongey Mingyur Mind is the activity or creativity of awareness in which awareness itself seems to become entangled. Awareness seems to lose itself in its own creativity; it veils itself with its own activity. Meditation is the disentangling of awareness from its own activity. ~ Rupert Spira
  10. Dude, the 'Self' in nondual perspective means Awareness. The higher Self is often contrasted with the lower self. The Self here is in upper case capital letters, so as to make it distinct from the lower case self which is associated with the ego or untrained, chaotic mind. Self is distinct from experience, as the perception of experience differs from the vantage point of the uncontaminated Self in contrast to the distorted perception of the conditioned mind.
  11. In no-mind, one thinks consciously when one has to and not in an unconscious compulsive manner as most unawakened people do. A female enlightened sage named Rajini Menon had remarked on the traits of the no-mind in an interview, which I had placed here in a thread..
  12. Consciousness empty of psychological content as in strong desires of cravings and aversions, which in turn stimulates incessant and compulsive thinking and emoting that veils the Self or Awareness, is what he is talking about. Consciousness becomes unconscious when it is under the spell of its strong desires , not when it is empty and devoid of psychological content. Pure consciousness implies experiences without the psychological imprints from the same. For example an unconsious or unawakened person who is walking along a street filled with attractive ads and banners of various products , would be spell bound by the glitter and glamour surrounding the same and be moved to buy those products even if they are not of any practical utility to him or her. An awakened sage on the other hand would walk through the same street totally conscious but without any psychological impressions or imprints on his mind by the same seductive ads and banners. He might buy an umbrella or raincoat if it suits his practical needs in case it is raining but nothing more than that.
  13. Migrations can also bring great changes for the better in various fields. The Romani people—often historically termed "Gypsies"—migrated from the Punjab region of northern India into Europe between the 8th and 14th centuries. Their enduring legacy encompasses immense contributions to European arts, music, and linguistics. Freddie Mercury, considered to be the greatest rock singer ever and who himself is of British-Indian origin, had an iconic opera collaboration in 1986 with the legendary Spanish operatic soprano Montserrat Caballé and who had herself been influenced by Gitano or Spanish Romani musical culture and championed the same. Their partnership resulted in the globally celebrated 1988 anthem "Barcelona," which brilliantly merged rock grandeur with operatic soprano vocals. In India itself, the zoroastrians and Jews who migrated to India as refugees due to Arab and Roman persecution respectively, were noted for their contributions in various fields that enriched the country in multiple domains. India similarly hosted the Bahai refugees from Iranian persecution. The Bahai Lotus temple in Delhi, India is now considered an architectural wonder and symbolic of Indian architecture like the Taj Mahal and Konark Sun Temple.
  14. Due to the ageing population in europe, and incessant wars and conflicts which tend to heavily reduce their manpower, I would say immigration from Asia and Africa is necessary to prop up the western economy. Migrants have done a lot of good to Europe and the west, and will continue to keep doing so. Yes,there are evils related to some groups of migrants which are taken in without proper vetting and background checks but it is not correct to generalize all migrants as such especially many exemplary migrant groups who have given more than taken.
  15. “It is your PRESENCE in this present moment, that allows a joyous future to design itself”. ~ Maharishikaa Preeti "The destiny you are talking about is something you created unconsciously; you can also create it consciously." ~ Sadhguru "Nothing is predetermined. If you can create your life unconsciously, you can also create it consciously. The whole effort of spiritual process is to see that you create your life consciously instead of blundering through it unconsciously." ~ Sadhguru "Your ability to create what you care for in your life is fundamentally dependent upon how conscious you are of your thought process, actions, and speech." ~ Sadhguru If you respond consciously, what you want will happen. If you react compulsively, what someone else wants will happen. ~ Sadhguru
