  1. Depends on your situation. If you have people to support you whilst you get it off the ground then you should be okay. E.g: living with family that would prefer you to focus on your passion rather than pay rent. Good luck! Subbed
  2. Oh boy, I distinctively remember one of my first social conditioning experiences. My mum liked to watch soap operas. There are about 4 mainstream ones in the UK that last from about 6:30-9. So this was a regular evening in my childhood. I remember asking my mum why me and my sister had different dads. She explained how she just has a different dad, but she's still my sister, just more like a half sister. I didn't really know how to react but I suppose I intuited that I should be upset, even though I genuinely wasn't. So I reacted with a thousand yard stare, as if I was in deep contemplation over how my whole life had been a lie! Lol. It felt very soap opera-esque. And I even felt like I had learned it off there. I was like 6-8 at the time and was very aware that I was pretending because I thought I should.
  3. Unsurprisingly, I've found that trying to gauge which stages people are at is a bit of a losing battle. I see that people tend to not fit into one defined box, but rather, have a predominant colour, and then strokes of others. Pretty sure Leo has spoken of this. Visualizing a painting of the appropriate colours to specific people is a fun way of doing this. I also notice in myself that I think I'm predominantly green, with some orange, maybe a stroke or two of yellow. Maybe. Anyway, it got me thinking: Are there any famous examples of people who have, in a sense, a bizarre mix of stages? For example: Red and Green? Blue and Yellow? I'm sure there are and would like to hear your examples if you have any. This is purely out of intrigue, not to judge or shame people or the stages.
  4. What is the primary focus of life? (1st world perspective)
  5. Doesn't make too much sense to me, care to explain?
  6. Sexuality, politics, confidence, abilities, mindfulness, race, love, likes and dislikes etc. Virtually everything hangs on a spectrum and where we sit on these different scales, determines our perspectives and the way we operate. That's why the possibility for change always exists, even in the most dire times. I have not yet personally or directly experienced the infinite magnitude of reality, though. Although a solitary awakening to my true nature has happened. Does this mean the spectrums are limitless, or perhaps redundant? Friday thoughts. ?
  7. @Kushblow trust me, I understand. The good news is; THIS IS FIXABLE. Hurray! Some things that have helped me are: Therapy Guided/Unguided Meditation Stop using drugs/alcohol Self love and acceptance Force yourself into 'scary' social situations e.g: talking to strangers/girls Affirmations Journaling Stop holding strangers in such high regard (they might just be a dick) Leo has a bunch of stuff on these things. ^ Also, watch the How To Stop Caring What Other People Think Of You vid. Russell Brand has some great short videos on these types of difficulties too.
  8. @Apparition of JackJackJack Jack Phone is bugging. ^ @Bill W it's more for my own benefit. I have discovered I tend to believe everybody knows what I know, or holds the same values. This has led to me being too trusting and, in some cases, manipulated. It's sometimes hard finding common ground with people also. I hope being able to determine where people are at will help me in the social domain and better my external interactions.
  9. @Kushblow I used to have this problem, and still do in some situations. I find, for me, I get most socially anxious when I'm the odd one out. I have no desire to talk about the things this specific group is talking about, and so I get fearful, racking my brain about what to say, how to fit in with these people and so on. In my experience, a good way to get over this is SPEAK YOUR MIND. If people are mindlessly gossiping or discussing the Kardashians, throw in your two pennies and say what you think, be it positive or negative. Beware, you may catch some flack for this; people becoming defensive or calling you out because they're triggered. However, I believe this is crucial to overcoming social anxiety and developing personal freedom and self-expression. You'll soon arrive at the point where you realise you don't care, if you do it enough and face the rejecting and disgusted expressions of people. It's not easy by any means, but well worth it. How old are you? I wouldn't worry about the jacking off, focus on one thing at a time. Then maybe a month later add another good habit and so forth. What are your hobbies and interests?
  10. @Apparition of Jack would be amusing to see him ditch blue and start moving into orange, sniffing powders off hookers' assholes. Interesting example.
  11. @Yannik My first LSD trips were done with friends but they were bullshit. Playing guitar hero, listening to music, chatting shit and watching SpongeBob etc. I recommend Leo's Neti Neti method guided meditation. I had a very profound and wonderful experience when I tripped with this, albeit, just a glimpse. When I micro dose I like to do some mindfulness practice with an Eckhart Tolle or Alan Watts talk playing in the background. Make sure your home is tidy and errands are completed. This is ideal environment for a good trip. I believe the tab will take you where you need to go regardless. Good luck. ALSO, write down your goals for the trip and why you are tripping, what are you trying to uncover or achieve etc.
  12. I did this once, not out of choice. I was going through a lot at the time but made friends with someone from work. Who then introduced me to his few friends. They weren't great association but they were good people. I had planned to go to poetry meet-ups but was too anxious. I think that is your best bet though, like Ivory said. Use your hobbies to find new compatriots. Use the internet to find spiritual meetups in your new area, and other creative hobbies you have.
  13. @AlwaysBeNice my girlfriends parents and brother live out in Portugal at the moment. They're currently building a yoga center in Ansiao. I went out there with them for 3 months earlier this year, and it was just what I needed. They are Krishna devotees and very lovely people. Not pressuring or fear-mongering or anything like that. Just genuine & accepting people. There's yoga classes in the town ran by a Canadian instructor. The majority are nice people. However, there are rats. They're very cute, but I still don't particularly like them running around the place. They're just so fucking fast. Terrifies me. Anyway, if you're interested, drop me a message and I'll put you in touch with them. Ansiao is central, not near the beach. I went to Lisbon after leaving their place for a couple of days, before heading back to England. It was nice, but lonely. Though, I think that experience was very rewarding.
  14. It's Shroom season in the UK now. I'm going to be going picking soon. Shrooms is a psychedelic I have only one experience in and I've heard mixed things about the fresh vs dry question. Tell me your preference.
  15. @outlandish@outlandish@outlandish@outlandish ^^phone is bugging out. Thanks for the knowledge. I hear through the grapevine that they will make themselves known to you a bit more if you eat whilst picking. You know about this? Very magical, very exciting. @Leo Gura Yes mate. Researched extensively and going with experienced pickers.
  16. @iTommy I admire your 100% responsibility attitude, man. However, it does sound like you could get played here if you are going above and beyond with it. Just pay what you owe and be done with it. Don't pay for the others. Landlord might pressure you with the whole "well somebody has to pay", but that shouldn't be you. Be firm. I wouldnt even help the girl clear out her stuff, unless she asks you directly and you actually want to. Good luck, dude.
  17. https://youtu.be/meiMUbYEQ4U A reply to the title.
  18. I'm wondering if there is some sort of order to life and death, to reincarnation. If one keeps evolving their consciousness throughout this lifetime but doesn't become enlightened, is that then stored for the next time round? Also, I believe Krishna consciousness teaches that if you love eating pork in this life, you will become a pig in the next sort of thing. Along with living through 8.4 million (or billion?) different species. Just a thought.
  19. @Strangeloop sorry, this was not my intention. At least you laughed. What is so bad about homosexuality, in your opinion? Hope arises out of acceptance.
