Vulnerability it is a much better option than compensation. Compensation is a cover for vulnerability. Vulnerability has its time and place, but never as a tool. And when it wants something it becomes problematic. When its pure it becomes beautiful .

I never said that. I said; Dont try to change things. They will just multiply. Just observe them really closely. Not trough thinking! Observing. Maybe I should have included that this is the way to stop, but I thought that was obvious. If you stop by force the object of desire will just shift. This is basic psychology. You can only get rid of it by castrating it through observation.

Karma is a bitch! Tanks for the links. Interesting. The unconscious is a monster. The Pandemic shapened my sense of how unbelievably predictable humans are. Gurdjieff was right, man is a robot.

You cant avoid an addiction.

Personally not a fan of the "dark philosopher persona thing" that some "smart" intellectuals have. But the chain of desire in social media is well put through Lacan if you ask me. By the way. I like that there is no like button on a forum like this!

Start practicing and stop watching. If you want to stop smoking, thinking about having to stop smoking will make you smoke. Dont try to change things. They will just multiply. Just observe them really closely. Not thinking! Observing.

it seams a lot of people get stuck here with this idea of, "what is my true passion?". I myself know this feeling. I find one of Sadhgurus advices helpfull here. “When you don't know what to choose, just show total involvement in everything that you have. Then life will choose, and it is never wrong.” If you just start to get totally involved, step out of your own way and let your drive take you out of yourself, the question of what is my true passion might become ridiculous to you. Its like the question "what is the meaning of life". The challenge, it seams to me thou, is if your not very conscious, you may very easily be led astray by your unconscious desires. So other than ofc becoming more conscious, I find its helpfull to at least understand the unconscious movement of desire. (Here Zizek is helpfull ore just sadhguru again if you just want the essence. They talk about the same thing when it comes to desire(and drive))

If the singularity is that witch divides into duality and contracts back into nothing and so forth forever. Is beauty the force witch pulls splits of consciousness back together? Is the Art that touches us that witch dissolve us a bit in that way? And is what we conceive as ugliness the thing that pulls consciousness apart? So non is really better than the other, just God “breathing”? Expansion, contraction, expansion, contraction forever..

So like this the closer one gets to the singularity the more is beauty and the less is ugly? Is beauty this “”simple””? -

It might take a long time, but I find it exiting how multiple “disciplines” seem to be moving closer to a common knowing. https://iai.tv/articles/a-universe-of-nothingness-auid-1557

Ok maybe not.. i just find it interesting how science seams to be coming to an end where it almost becomes metaphysic and mysticism doesn’t seam so mystic anymore if that makes sense.. but then maybe by definition it’s no longer science. I don’t know.. ? -
I have been interested in Žižek for some years on a youtube level, and now going a bit deeper partaking in a Zizek reading group with philosophers routed in the Slovenian school, where Zizek is the best known Philosopher. Žižek builds heavily on Lacan. So to understand a lot of Žižek´s thoughts partly understanding some of Lacan´s work is a great help. In my investigations I found this little "cocktail party version" of Lacan´s triad to be a very interesting introduction to a thinker who seems to be very difficult to understand at times. He seams to speak very well into a dual / non-dual understanding in this video reading of him..
