@Thought Art "Outlawing slavery is the most ethical, humane and most morally sound action to take." "It doesn't matter as people want to and are going to own slaves" - most americans in the first half of the 19th century. "tier 2" everybody.

um... ok?

@Stovo Being dependent on Russian gas is because of the left? The CDU, a center-right, christian party, that governed for the last 16 years, brought us this mess. The greens, the most left leaning party in Germany is the most vocal about supplying Ukraine with weapons against Russia btw. Shutting off the nuclear power? also CDU under Merkel.

You will remember who you are.

@Leo Gura What I expected from you are points that actually see things from a tier 2 perspective with a grounding in love, the sort of conventional form of love, the "I want what's best for you and give you a warm embrace unconditionally" sort of love (that needs to be integrated in green). Maybe that's my mistake. I guess this expectation comes from your recent claims to be "coming from tier 2". I see sprinkles of it. I think intellectually you are definitely tier 2 to a large extend. But tier 2 encompasses all areas of development including EQ. Your tier 2 cognition simply gets hijacked by your blocked up emotions, sense of solipsism and self centered spirituality. You cannot honestly state that most people are inherently lazy and selfish if you have the right understanding of what causes people to develop psyches that manifest such characteristics. There are seldom children that get born in a healthy, growth conducive environment with their needs met and that are loved by both parents, that do not have an insatiable drive for exploration, adventure, expression and "doing things" as well as a ln inherent drive to share and collaborate. On a different note: Your body is not fit to sustain higher states of consciousness beyond psychedelics. I can see it. This is my unsubstantiated claim. I admit that. So I don't put a truth label on this but that's my hunch. People who permanently ascend into higher states of consciousness (I have met them, they are incredible to witness), all have beautifully refined bodily structures, posture, craniofacial balance and energetic flow throughout every movement and expression. You see it when you see it. I don't see it with you. I never felt the need to express these ideas but since you are so quick to dismiss nearly all of humanity as lazy, dumb, worthless pieces of meat that better get up and do the dirty work for their slave masters, I don't feel like you deserve to have your private little, cushy illusion of intellectual supremacy. Your points were not subtle, they were not too advanced, they were not too complex. These are all straightforward, easy to understand, one dimensional points. Never throughout the video did I have to really think or listen again to what you said to immediately get what your points are saying precisely. It was always like a click. A clear, vivid 3d encapsulation that made perfect sense. Your points were illuminated, dissected and then ultimately scrapped for some salvage. It's not like you explain complicated quantum mechanics that twist the mind and need to be understood from a creative, subtle, counter intuitive perspective. Your reactions only solidified my original post for me. That's honestly so disappointing cause it was not like I was trying to confirm my ideas, get your attention or get a reaction out of you, but what I hoped was some clarification or even admitting when you were wrong. For example the vegan point: why don't you admit that your "calories" argument is wrong? It is. It's simply and factually is false. "How do you know that?" Science, biology, human physiology, nutrition science, direct experience. That's how. Why is that so hard? I think I am done here. I will now take a break from this channel for 6 months. I'll check in again once I have unwired my neurology from this echo chamber. I have been here (the yt channel) since I was 16. Now I am turning 25 next month. It has been a wonderful journey. I just think it is time to leave the nest. Leo my man, I appreciate you dearly and sincerely. You have been one of the most influential people in my entire life, shaping my thinking to be radically open, creative and a tad bit crazy and showing me that there is much, much more to life than I initially thought. Your LP Course is one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Incredible value, incredibly unique. For this I am forever thankful. I'll come back in 6 to 12 months. Hopefully on better terms until then only the best of luck to you Leo and to everyone here on the forum. Never give up on your deepest desires, your deepest passions, never give up on forgiveness, compassion and love. It's all within you. You just have to believe and trust. The universe will support you. Let's keep kicking ass. Let's keep expanding, let's keep on lovin'.

@Leo Gura Don't get me wrong, I have no intention of gaslighting you, Leo. I get how my post may come of as such an attempt. I assure you, that was not my goal. I like you, I want the best for you and I appreciate your work as it has changed my life for the better more than anything else on the Internet. I apologize for my harsh tone. It's not a nice way to converse, don't you agree? I grand you that your video had some more good points: the left should seek to understand the right, value creates wealth, self made billionaires do exist, value creation needs to be rewarded, hierarchies are real etc. However, and I am going to make an additional point here, how much more a CEO for example gets compensated more than his/her employees is, as you point out in your video, relative. We agree. You seem to make the point that that justifies the current level of inequality. No, I would argue that it has gone way out of hand and that people havng to work 2-3 jobs just to make end meet is not tolerable or justified by "value creation" which is relative as well. The determination of the value of goods and services may be best determined through market forces as of now, but it is still a relative system. Furthermore, How the generated profit is split between all actors within a company is completely relative and to a large degree not coupled to market forces. If the CEO or the savings account of the company got 10 percent less of the overall profit but instead this money got addeed to the salary of all workers, they would all have significantly higher standards of living without significantly infringing on the survivabilty of the company or the standard of living of the CEO. That's how out of proportion and radicalized this capitalistic system has become. We don't need communism but simply a less prominent lower class and an uncompromising social security system. Lastly, I guess I needed to get my objections out for me to cool off and see that the overall video wasn't all that bad. Some points are just indicative of your unconscious biases and blind spots, mainly those mentioned in my original post. Nothing but love for you, brother. But because that's the case, I am real with you and tell you how I feel and think about your flaws and mistakes (in my humble opinion). Lastly, you accuse me of gaslighting but gaslight me as part of "the left that can't be taught". how dismissive can you be? I did understand your points quite well as they are not thaaat complex nor hard to understand, I simply disagree with you. You need to be able to tolerate that for yourself at least, if not for me. Cause if you don't, you cannot see where you are mistaken and grow beyond your blindspots and limitations. Cheers.

wtf.

@Michael569 great analysis. But with this kinda nuance it's hard to write a diet book with a catchy cover slogan.

Now... these are more nuanced points. Hawkins is actually strongly arguing for an objective, shared reality which "overrules" subjective experience. So very much in line with standard materialistic notions. He determines the prioritization of one's personal intuitions, feelings and perceptions as narcissistic whereas the adherence to "standards of truth" ,especially logic as understood through mathematics, to be an act of the higher mind. I honestly don't have a deep enough grasp of math or formal logic to evaluate this statement. But I would say that my direct experience confirms this. If you want to develop, live a good life and skillfully navigate this reality we occupy, you cannot be lost in a narcissistic dream and make shit up but need to adhere to the rules of logic, reason and most importantly truth - which in my and also Leo's opinion is something far greater than mere logic. Truth is greater than logic, proof and reason. Hawkins simply assumes that his version of God is required for us to be moral and ethical (which is completely unfalsifiable and fantastical). He then goes on to dismiss any action based on subjective feelings and intuitions (if done by moral relativists to satisfy their needs, wants and desires). He simply equates ones desires with "primitive animal instincts" that ought to be suppressed and transcended, subdued for the greater good of social cohesion. I completely disagree with this line of thinking. ...again such a regressive, repressive, dark age, Christian notion. Your desires, your deepest yearnings and cravings are your key to unlocking your greatest potential in my experience. I am glad I dismiss the social matrix and follow my heart. It makes me ten times more happy. And I can do so without dismissing science, formal logic or mathematics. He paints this false dichotomy between the noble, disciplined light warrior of truth who is humble and a servant of reason and progress vs. The narcissistic, self absorbed ego that is just out for itself and willing to lie, bend and twist to get it's evil, shameful desires satisfied. Like, you can just drop some good old atheist debunks on this bs: why did God give us all these desires then? Is he "testing" us? Or is he just playing games? And why are these desires and their fulfillment in opposite to the pursuit of morality and ethics? Maybe my desire is to be moral af? Spoiler: it is. I am vegan and get great joy out of reducing suffering through this choice. No kidding, it's great. So why is it that my "evil, selfish impulses" guide me to act selflessly? Hmm, could it be that if you get in touch with your true desires, beyond all the conditioning and trauma, we humans just want great shit for everyone? Great health, great stuff, freedom, expansion, growth, safety and most importantly - love. Isn't that what morality tries to ensure? No problem, we humans intrinsically want all this already. No limiting belief system required.
-
This is the standard argument for God based on moral necessity perpetrated by stage blue Christians. And this is coming from Hawkins? I have been resonating less and less with his teachings lately. In his book "Success is for you" he rants for like 10 pages that a restaurant didn't have the sauce he likes lol.
-
@TheAlchemist love your take on Tate and the new masculinity movements. Agree nearly 100 percent. But I have to say that sculpting a great physique is quite intrinsically satisfying. it's just nice to occupy that body if you use it for your sense of self worth however, it's toxic of course.

@Leo Gura Don't be so judgemental about mouthbreathers. You have some facial bone structure deficits of someone who mouth breathed.

@Yarco Thanks for writing out this extensive list. Very insightful. It's crazy to see it all piled up like that. Really makes you question what's underneath the tip. Cause that's the tip of the iceberg that was actually exposed.
-
@Juressic I don't get how you can't get excited by Leo shit posting. It's just so refreshing.
-
@Leo Gura YES SIR. YOU ARE VERY CALM SIR. TRYING TO BE CALM NOW AS WELL SIR.
-
Either way, @Leo GuraWe care about you and want you to be happy. Everyone shows it differently. Love, brother.

How Instagram is typically used... This is relative. You can do whatever you want to, do you understand? You are projecting a lot of normal/weird dichotomy, a lot of shoulds and shouldn'ts and a lot of "fake it to appear proper". If Leo want's to be a goofball on instagram, that's entirely his decision. he doesn't owe us even a bit of consistency. He has provided immense value to us and we should be happy if he choses to do something different on the side. It's not even a big deal. he posted a bunch of goofy ass pictures. Cool, funny, didn't expect it. You go Leo Yeah sure check in on him but don't project your insecurities, relative judgements and social constructs onto him. Let the men be wild and free.
-
@something_else You need to check yourself big time. somone posts a picture in their underwear and is therefore insane? How stuck up are you excactly? You are encroaching on Leo as a being with a desire for self expression.
-
Beheading puppies? Are you out of your mind dude? I am speechless. Don't try to make him admit something that you are projecting onto him. This is not empathy. This is not trying to understand him. This is forcing him into your conception of who he is.
-
@Leo Gura I AM CALM SIR, WHAT NEXT SIR, I AM READY SIR.
-
Yes. I agree with this sentiment. this is how I feel. But I also feel like it makes sense to air on the side of caution and to just check in on him. Like: are you consciously enjoying yourself, Leo? Or are you out of it and think that living or dying doesn't make difference? Some people here just generally judge way to hard. "his brand" "what are others gonna think?" "This is really out of character for him" I feel like these judgements are encroaching on him. Do you really know Leo? Are you really concerned bout him, the actual person or are you just concerned about the particular image you have of him because he is a source of comfort, guidance and stability for YOU. Check yourself, do the right thing, be loving, don't judge.

My opinion is that Leo can post whatever he wants to as long as it's not harrasment or obzene shit. I support Leo's freedom to be a complete freak. It's honestly unsettling how fixated eveyone is on him, giving a pseudoprofessional analysis of his motivations and the appropriateness of the postings. "It's maybe an attempt to integate the lower stages" is what I read in another post. That's retched to read ngl. Like are you really this lost in concepts? Not everything in life is serious. Let the man do whatever he wants to. So many sticks need to be removed from a lot of asses in this forum. He is not your baby blanket and doesn't owe you a certain stability of character for you to feel safe on your little journey It's time to leave the nest that is Leo, the stable father figure lol. Little tip: if he posts a half naked picture of himself eating icecream off his P99 barrel, the oppropriate response is "lol". But @Leo Gura maybe write some captions that give just a tiny bit of context haha. The contrast to you previous postings is what may cause people to trip up. And pro tip, get fit and sexy then people won't be upset if you post half naked pictures nearly as much. Leo Connor collab needs to happen soon! LEO CONNOR, LEO CONNOR! -
Hey @Leo Gura I am curious when we will get another round of book recommendation from you? Thanks.
