If you define enlightenment as directly experiencing what is absolutely true about you and the universe, then the opposite of that would be everything that is not that. But since you are apparently not "enlightened" you can't really know what the opposite of enlightenment is.

@Stef_BG Yeah, my friends will probably be more drawn to entertaining themselves then exploring the ultimate nature of reality or working on their mental hangups, so i just want them to have a nice Introduction to the experience. But who knows what will happen. I think it's best to not overwhelm people with these sort of things or at least i believe that it is the right policy for me to take in this specific situation (:

@Commodent Im not saying that there is nothing outside of the realm of MY (me the person) experience but that there is nothing outside of Experience in general. So in my view i litterlly am you/the experience of you, just not right now, because im preocupied beeing me. (:

I went throu the same thing, but i think in my case it wasn't as severe. Anyway, i suggest that you first get in touch with what your values are and the things that are authentic to you. After you have become clear about those try to align your Actions and what you say with what is authentic to you. And don't hold yourself back from beeing a little bit more introverted in social situationes in order to center yourself, if thats what you feel like you want to do. At least that is what i think would have helped me. Good luck!

Not beeing stuck in Ideology is obviously important, but the issue i have about there beeing an objective reality is that: "how can there be an objective underlying reality if you can't experience it directly." I mean in truth there can't be an ultimate distincion between Perception and perciever, right?

I didn't mean to say that Awareness is the absolute Truth. I just wanted to show a perspective in which Conciousness can be seen to be a more real "thing" than a Brain or the outside world in order to get the guy who opened the thread to go beyond his physical paradigm.

Why do you believe that? Pointing to awareness is like a finger trying to point to itself or a knife trying to cut itself. Ok, in a sertain type of way, yes. But you do realize that every word is dual, in the way that the word makes a distincion between what it is pointing to and everything else, right?

@Truth Addict Awareness, the Word, is a conzept and can be understood throu metaphor. Actual Awareness is not a metaphor. It can? How!?
