does it make any sense that a flight from the us to hawaii is more expensive than to south east asia? i guess looking for meaning in this doesn`t really make sense, although a hut in thailand might be a little more expensive than three bucks per night. you could probably find something in brazil, too. there are plenty of beautiful places, question is what your main goal of the trip is, why do you even have to fly if you then just sit in a hut? -
remember replied to EternalForest's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@EternalForest so you see, nostalgia is about cherry picking and it depends on who might be the cherry picker of what content might be of value for the future. but one person can`t cherry pick them all - so can you see the dilemma of selectivity or non selectivity? -

horse armor seems to be that what people are searching for, when diamonds aka insights are not enough anymore ? https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Horse_Armor although the question is: did the games really get so much worse or did some people just grow expectations? -
let’s not overstretch the word evolution to social development and progress - it’s a concept describing mostly the development process of the realm of form so to speak in physical form/body, if we talk about spiritual form/body it would rather be an evolvement, in a lot of cases more disconnected from the physical phenomena than we sometimes assign. progress regress, that’s something that doesn’t really fit into the underlying evolutional beige and purple and red stages as here it’s really often about natural selection and brute force, and regress then in these cases always means complete disappearance - that’s what i mean when i say some lower stages already also contain some shades of higher colours in them as schemes or shades. but also higher developed stages can’t be compared to the survival mode of the lower stages. social development in that sense is an evolvement away from evolution as evolution mostly gives the shell but the content is a spiritual cultural and technological development process that deals with learning, cultural social peaks and flowering and oftentimes regress and forgetting, followed by more learning, different approach, new flowering and new regress. one example of it being non linear is the disappearance of high cultures that found their peaks in selfeliminating forms through toxic survival modes, what made the culture disappear but not their descendants, high culture lowly evolved social structure. although i would say if humanity completely disappears from earth, because nature will collapse, all of that because of low social evolvement and supremacy self bias, we then could call that natural selection and therefore evolution. human made regress can’t be evolution because of the missing link to natural, which already starts with the appearance of purple and red, in that sense an introduction to culture. although evolution runs underneath for humanity as a whole.

remember replied to Thalie's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Thalie there is nothing like the first time, but the memory. some feelings some moments are magical and not repeatable, but if you surrender to the moment you can have moments like that again, if you connect to your surrounding in a intimate way. not only one drop, but also the way a drop moves, the way the wind is on special days, the way sun falls through leaves when you lie in the gras the way the clouds move, the smell of certain things, a yellow leaf in the cold you bring to your home, a plastic bag flying like a jellyfish in the air, a small piece of paper on the ground. there are uncountable moment`s where you can fall in love with the "insignifficant" it`s not insignifficant! it`s falling in love with the beauty of your sensual perceptions. falling in love with the ability to percive beauty in a very intimate relationship to that what is given through the divinity of the seemingly "normal" or "random" it`s a form of synchronicity, the art of the random the every day (not everyday but singularly this moment in time, fully) the ability to see what no one else notices, beautiful magical signifficant now. the world speaks to you. instead of going for this forum i would recommend you to buy a good camera and start to see the world through an optical lense. i think the drop told you to find it again if you dare. -
well yeah, not to forget - where there is innocence there is always exploitation and brute distruction of that what is whole and in a sense holly about a person. people sometimes call it naivity, but no reason why it shouldn`t be possible to be not naive and still be innocent.

@Conscious life or you could also think in that direction that virginity is reclaimed always if you reclaim it, because with every new approach and with every new partner you will experience it differently, in that sense you can stay virgine to the innocent and experimental part within yourself. even if you might have some not so nice experiences, it`s about listening what you want or want not. that`s what virginity in a spiritual sense is pointing towards. not talking about a rollplay set up but more about an emotional approach towards sexuality.

i think the time frame can give him some relaxation. also if i was him, i would face what he is now facing as a challenge, as it already is like that, and try to use the flashbacks in a productive way - i bet there are methods to make the flashbacks appear in a more controlled way and channeling the synesthetic visions and dreams, so they won`t appear when he doesn`t want them to appear. but of course i don`t know, so it`s trial and error - don`t see much other chances as just trying to suppress them is probably counterproductive. but i bet he wouldn`t recommend this combination to anyone, even if he got a tough challange with it, that might even make him grow. well, what doesn`t kill you makes you tougher... that`s the heads up i can give - for the circumstances he manages the situation quite well. -

in some cases it`s more productive to have a healthy respect than taking it too lightly. if you read his first post about what the combination of these substances does with his organism, some healthy fear in advance might not be the wrong approach. but hey you can always add some new experiences to the game if you are bored - there are multiple cocktails no one in this forum ever tried - be the first! enlightenment has many facettes. although most people here prefer some controll over the substance vs substance controlling them. -

well.... yeah.... lesson learned hopefully, have fun it`s good that it`s not something serious, it could have lasted for quarter a year or so. -
i could ask you now: are you a male or a woman? and then i would say it is neither a pride nor something to be ashamed of it is just something you should hold in value and care, not over valuing it, because the first time should not be something to just get over with, even though it sometimes is because it can also be a huge hurdle. be aware that some people make a huge thing out of that and will abuse and devalue or overvalue it in any direction. virginity is not only a bodyly phenomenon but a spiritual aswell, try to see through the attempt of so called spirituality to make a tradable good out of it, which is for sale, it belongs to a persons treasur box of experiences, just don`t trade cheaply with it. and don`t save it up to make a monopoly deal. do it with someone you like and trust, that will give you soo much more than any pride or deal.

yes you are also right, that`s why there are people who design new patterns and objects with help of the techniques and oftentimes the traditional craftsmen and bring the production process back to where it belonged to. this is all part of very conscious value creation cycles. although unfortunately still not enough people doing consciousness work like that. and i bet there are a lot of native american tribes who would maybe welcome cooperations. the traditional and the new can exist next to each other, but it`s important that quality is equal, if the new design/pattern is of lesser aesthetic or functional quality it won`t work. if these tribes live in tourist areas or have touristic attractions also throwing out all the plunder which is not linked to them directly or doesn`t serve a functional purpose out of their program step by step and replacing it would serve the purpose of value creation. people in the future will less and less buy hollow knick-knacks. i guess you know that yourself, that adding additional purpose and content makes products more valuable because then it serves a function. sometimes it`s also about removing additional content what serves a function. cultural appropriation takes place anyways, direct trading of such makes it more fair and reestablishes value and love. for example you can buy brezels everywhere in germany, but nowhere they taste better than in munic or in bavarian countryside. it`s not just a slogan it`s really the recipe of the brezel. but even there you will find better or worse ones, but the worse will not make it in the long run. why? because they don`t have the breath of the centuries.

remember replied to blankisomeone's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@blankisomeone LOOK AT ME and now i`m telling you, your post is the missing link i needed to not completely loose myself in this forum. i even cried because you remind me of myself before i let myself get completely taken apart by this forum. stop searching for answers here, you already have them all! And the ones you don`t have you won`t need to get through conversations here. at first it`s amazing but in reality it`s shallow DON`T SEARCH FOR MEANING IN THIS FORUM. "WHENEVER I HEAR THAT LIFE IS MEANINGLESS, I GET A BAD FEELING. A VERY DEEP FEELING THAT THINGS AREN`T RIGHT." i didn`t read such wise words for a long time, and that`s exactly why you should not get entangled in these conversations which will tell you that what you already have and they have not or not anymore is meaningless - because the ultimate sensemeaking if you try to understand what they are saying would be life is meaningless because there is only being and no meaning in life, that`s what your brain will recive subconciously. and it will suck you dry. so do what you wanted to and try to not answer to any conversation anymore, this is a forum of addicts, who all try to make some sense of the lost meaning, some really need to in the first place and they might gain something here. but exactly because you are a meaning maker the forum will try to suck you in. it`s like a giant ego in itself which involves you in countless conversations, in a self feeding loop. don`t get hooked by mentionings like catch 22 or anything else, these are interesting concepts about life, a catch 22 is someone who is cought up in meaninglessness of taking orders to kill (in war) or taking any orders blindly (or worse in full conciousness) from above but can`t really break out from because of the structure of the whole societal hirarchies. meaning and meaninglessness, if you already know what MEANING is don`t try to search for it here, it`s a place where people loose it. Search for meaning in MEANING = BEING (being here is not being). -
@DrewNows the evolutionary process of quantity has also been a quality creating process. quality is conciousness, quantity is either need or greed in our time. sorry it is a very long story, the story about the hows.
-
@DrewNows in the sense of quality and love, i`m talking about empowernment to create goods in the quality they where created through a longterm design process these goods are not just produced by the technique alone but through creative cultural evolution. the reason why these goods are reproduced in a lesser quality is because of their quality and the desire to use that quality, although it can not have the same quality because the production process has a soul, if the product is stripped of the soul it usually falls victim to cost management and so on while the culture of origin will keep the value chain alive, because the value chain possesses meaning. the love for the product preserves the products quality and it gives love back because it gives love through identification with cultural value and self esteem and it gives love to the consumer because the consumer recives a product of value, if the consumer is able to apreciate value. a hand thrown cup is not more valuable than an industrial made cup because it`s unique although it is unique, but it is valuable because of the love that was put into it to make something unique with care. you can even see that value chain in industrial made products. if you school your eye in that direction you just know it when you see it.
-
no it has to do with quality and love.
-
i`m also talking about cheese, so it`s not just the sacred aspect but the whole process of keeping cultural heritage of value chains alive which make every manufactured good sacred, it`s conciousness alone which makes something sacred.

@skywords one of the most impotant possessions we ever can achieve is a beautiful childhood. so talking about childhood i always try to filter the world at least partially through my inner child. what i percive as dark is to let that child see how brutal life can be without a filter and without adequat coaping mechanisms. there is a reason why i think i have to grow up now, but tell that to my inner child it sometimes feels like i was trying to kill it. so that`s in my perspective not the right attempt to coap with the world. ususally the grown up is there to protect the inner child, i can see how that happens in a dysfunctional way if something went toxic in the childhood. - i won`t quote or post any part of leos content where i think his content is dark, last time someone did i tried to scare that person instead of being nice and he had panic attacks. probably not because of me alone though, maybe he didn`t even care about what i wrote it was probably more about the inner deamons he visualized. maybe i see it as more dark because there are some aspects to leos content that are male chauvinistic, i`m a woman so that`s something i percive as dark. the second "what is love" video was pretty dark. "the highest heroes journey" is pretty dark for women, all the solipsism stuff is pretty dark, but even if i know there is truth to it as a reflection of how the world is, it`s hard to keep anything glowing sometimes. of course we all bring darkness with us, so i`m not in anyways excluding myself from being dark sometimes. but i tend to like laughter and light and tend to like constructive art more. don`t ask me why i still hang around. (it`s my second life in the forum so better don`t ask me anything, i`m probably unlearning more than i learn)

at least as far as that i can do some calculus. -
remember replied to jimwell's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
yes, mh then love is also just a oneway road, isn`t it? -
remember replied to jimwell's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
i`m happy you didn`t say sign, because that was controversially discussed -
remember replied to jimwell's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
hahaha, yeah then love doesn´t exist either. -
remember replied to jimwell's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
although if you really try hard to create evil, you still do - so what to do about this oneway road? -
authenticity is nothing we can recreate in mass production, it`s as simple as that. what people should or should not do or revive as their cultural heritage is their own business, it`s sad if traditional manufacturing techniques get lost because there is no one who wants to inherit it, but that`s how it has always been. there is a reason why some things are protected by regions of origin, because the energy going into it deserves some status and as such protection.

in some sense it´s difficult to judge about it, because we already live in this world and in that sense it already is oftentimes a brutal unloving place. i sometimes think how much love people try to pour in and still it is not enough because there is so much neglected space out there we can`t controll where it goes and how infective it might be, that`s why i like budhism so much, i always percived it as straw to hold onto, now i am even able to find it, what i wasn`t before, it`s the theme of the eightfold path: Right understanding (Samma ditthi) Right thought (Samma sankappa) Right speech (Samma vaca) Right action (Samma kammanta) Right livelihood (Samma ajiva) Right effort (Samma vayama) Right mindfulness (Samma sati) Right concentration (Samma samadhi) i`m not really practicing them but i probably try to be more aware of them again in the future, not because of morals not because it`s good, or not doing it is bad but because i am judgmental about my surrounding and i can see a lot of conflicts arising in people because it`s not their words but their action or it`s not their action but their words and also sometimes their non action and their non words what makes people suffer, and i don`t see a better list anywhere to reflect about how i affect my surrounding, because i can`t not affect my surrounding, as a human being we do, if we want it or not. i guess i like buddhism because buddha never claimed to be a god in that sense even if the buddha has a god like status - i can see in a lot of buddhist teachings that in the ultimative sense he always stayed on earth never really left entirely at least he left the doors wide open to everyone who dares to see. every one of these eight paths is a path with a goal into infinity, we might never reach it but it doesn`t matter as long as we (don`t) try.
