  1. can‘t believe your parents called you something! what’s your last name then? by the way i‘m not judging! its an interesting name. if it’s only for business you can always have an artists name. you can even have an artists name in your passport. it depends on how expensive it is to change names, too, in my opinion. in some countries it’s an overly long process and expensive like a plastic surgery – you have to be careful while finding a new name, too, don’t make yourself a something hooker - that’s happening already quite often if you make yourself a brand, usually you do it in awareness about how you sell yourself. but in a lot of cases it’s just the ego in disguise. depending on what is sold, it can get nasty. don’t confuse it to be art, just because its called artists name - the criterion for that is a different one.
  2. @Kinjal in general it’s a difficult question. if it hurts, it hurts. if you need to roar then roar (mooji said that). keeping a warm heart and a cool mind was sth like a virtue once. in this forum sometimes heart melt down is propagated - but i‘m actually thinking it depends, if you suffer then open it up let it all melt down, although heart energy is like a driving force, if you calm it down too much there might not be enough fire to change anything. anger and meditation are a good team. i‘d recommend you to do practices on dependent arising while meditating and journaling.
  3. @Kinjal why ask why? rage does not need why, it does not need how. rather ask where does it arise from.
  4. no, different ego trap. different identification of i in other.
  5. is that ok in your country to get a name like that? the other way round would be cooler something - how would anyone know what’s the first or the last name?
  6. god and satan is the same, there is no before you. maybe behind you or above you? there is no source but the source, it’s all itself to itself. whispering: trust me how i know that.
  7. this is like learning by failing. try, fail, stand up, repeat. there is also failing by failing, the beautiful part about that is people sometimes fail for years until they stop failing. regresses are more present if we focus on regress instead of on progress. we remember our failing sometimes more than our acing. although through a meta lens failing or acing is absolutely subjective. only that some topics seem karmic which is a pointer that they are, without learning they will probably even repeat themselves in the next life.
  8. i actually like these more practical threads - somehow i had the feeling they have gotten really rare over the time. or maybe they had always been and i was just not seeing them anymore. i get always distracted from implementing habits because focus/prioritizing actually means leaving everything else unattended and i am a person who sometimes has difficulties with either or. as habits are oftentimes not the favored choice but the choice of reasoning of course there is an internal dissonance. i guess building up to understanding the need for one specific habit and a constant reminder system, a motivation strategy and positive affirmations towards that one habit could be supportive. i‘m still not sure about time scheduling of habits, sometimes that makes sense, too. also being forgiving about skipping once and showing up for oneself either way is a tactic which at least prevents you from giving up after backlashes.
  9. not why, how. logic can only become a trap if its actually not logical, but because people think they are mastering logic they don’t realize how they get entangled because of a small logical mistake. logic also does not work on an irrational ego, an irrational ego slips away through every logical gap it can get - no rules, no logic, no awareness.
  10. @WaveInTheOcean no, i‘m not disagreeing with leo, if my perception of what a level of consciousness is, is approximately a similar conception. although the highest perspective does not automatically have anything to do with the level of consciousness. the highest absolute perspective is always rather a perspective than a level. but the level is not a perspective, and the measurement of level is not its content nor its structure or density nor is it a vessel or a stick someone decided to use as a measurement. not that this would be a much better comparison but its at least three dimensional. if you want to raise the sea level you need to melt a lot of mountains, for example. although then it would still not be drinkable.
  11. no, that’s a false assumption - a very two dimensional one. i‘m ok with the rest partially because i accept your individual perspective, but at this part you have not yet become conscious.
  12. consciousness realizes the value of morals.
  13. ever tried cactus donut? sorry why do i think of donut all the time? ahahaha maybe because of loving radiance!
  14. @Marten i also had this - i was morphing into infinite forms a pretzel a cactus a donut was somehow the most interesting and latest occurrence. if you stare for very long, you can see shadow aspects occurring that for sure, but that’s why staring can literally knock you out.
  15. if trump was a woman she would probably be a dick grabber i wonder if someone like that would ever even make it to the top - society really is more hard on men than on women, i would say that’s because men are more hard on themselves.
  16. and therefore it’s the fault of the black people?
  17. maybe because whites are systematically more criminal if they are criminal? more likely to shoot first? you would actually need to see the whole statistics to put your assumption on that base of argumentation. it‘s about how often is someone killed or treated brutally by police due to being in a weaker position. if a policeman hits a child with a stick it’s disproportional.
  18. @Dutch guy it was a complete rethorical question - but you see, whites don’t stand up against injustice that much, that’s why this is used to hate blacks because whites think its ok how whites are treated that’s why the black people are hated for wanting more justice.
  19. @Dutch guy but that would not be the responsibility of police wouldn’t it?
  20. do you actually think there would be a difference if george floyd would have been white? what about the 75 years old guy who got pushed and fell and bleed from his head and it seemed to take some time until anyone even went down on their knees to have a look if he was alright? yes, special in caring, as a lot of whites don’t give a damn. it’s not about what that guy might have done during his life, its about the systemic issues, all they still do is fingerpointing to the black americans.
  21. mhhh i see - it’s probably best to leave the nest. with my parents for example, i see the underlying structure and how a lot of it is self induced suffering but it’s also the dynamics, you can’t change much about her self induced suffering but you can change the dynamics by for example moving out - although if you find a good method you can also influence the suffering dynamics while still at home, because some of these dynamics you will take wherever you go - at one point in life with enough distance you might see. its ok if you can’t take all of that on your shoulders. my parents showed me a lot about what i don’t want a lot about other stuff and a lot not about stuff i‘m still not able to teach myself. i always loved living in shared housing i learned a lot there, too.
  22. police is occupied with peaceful demonstrations they don’t have time patrolling against crimes? it‘s getting obvious, the antifa and left has nothing to do with it, but more like criminals who already had a high crime potential are using the chaotic situation for their advantage. vigilante justice is not a solution not as police justice but also not as street justice and probably also not as presidents twittering justice. everyone suffers because some police did a miserable job. although some devilish vigilant capriciousness will probably conclude differently because they don’t see the cyclicality of this. it‘s the responsibility of the state representatives this going in the wrong direction and no one elses! not talking about the house of representatives, but all representatives, police involved in vigilant comatose streetfights with their brains switched off at the forefront, while criminals run around with weapons.
  23. @LearningPodo what happens if you are in another country? why is it different? did you ever move within the us? maybe in another state it would already be different. a change of environment allows you to reinvent yourself. a change of environment is sometimes like leaving expectations behind. its difficult to become a better version of yourself if yourself or others expect you to be who you are or were. it also can be the opposite, both are connected to clinging. if you think it might heal you to move, then i would try that approach first.
