I'm am wondering if anyone can give any input on speaking in tongues?

In charasmatic religious groups, there is such a thing as speaking in tongues, or a heavenly language. This can also be a firing language. It is based on the bible and certain religious groups claim that the Holy Spirit gives this gift. It is kind of used as a mediation it seems. I have been prayed over enumerous times to receive this gift and it has never happened. I'm exploring into this and I wish Leo could say something.

The ultimate question one can ask is, "who am I"? Upon serious inquiry, one will find out that there is no me. This is the direct path to enlightenment.

What I am wondering is it just the knowing or understanding that there is no me, would be considered enlightenment or are there stages after this understanding??

I find that less and less I am distracted by the world and here is what I have done to decrease the chatter. Some time ago I began to sense that I am not who I think I am. I enquirer into this and I realized there is no me. I've done a lot of studying and it's very simple. Once you have the understanding that there is no "me", begin to focus that attention inwardly, soften yourself, allow the chatter to persist as long as it wants to because it will lessen. Don't resist it. Think of your senses as if they are a camera lens. Turn the lens slightly creating a soft blur. The image is still there but lessened.
