  1. That's never been the case in my relationships. I've always had more interest in it, and often I've had to supress it a lot as well because they couldnt keep up. It probably differs from case to case. No shoe fits all and so on...
  2. I get what you're saying and I don't disagree... I like Bill.. But... Couldn't he legit just wake up one day and wipe away student loan debt with his money? It's just kinda hard for me to swallow how people hoard money like that. But it's an systemic issue for sure. Probably human nature to hoard riches I guess.
  3. Norwegian politicians for the left/socialist party "Rødt" (red) refuses to accept their high salary, and gives away hundreds of thousands every year. "The salary of 900.000 nok a year (97.255 USD) is way to high. It's absurd and unfair that I make the double amount of what a nurse gets. " "It should not be the salary that appeals to politicians. The appeal should be getting to represent the people. When the salary gets to high, people become power hungry. They become more concerned about keeping their own positions than taking care of the people." As a single mom for two Kids, the money would really help her out," but the principles are more important" she says. https://www.nettavisen.no/okonomi/rodt-representant-i-trondheim-nekter-a-ta-imot-full-politikerlonn/3423852502.html Apparently they donate the money to their own party, but hey. Politics are becoming more conscious over here.
  4. Interesting thoughts here. I don't disagree with you. You are absolutely correct in your observation about scandinavians being very independent and individualistic. Which is in direct opposition with greens collectivism. I have read many interesting theories about why this is, many of them include the scandinavian climate. In the terms of the cold weather seperating us more and making us more asocial. I see this in myself as well. My values and ethics are a 100% green, and I get triggered by orange and react to it (fallacy of stage green i know..) - But at the same time I find myself fiercly individualistic minded, asocial, and keep to myself most of the time. I observe the same tendencies in my norwegian friends - expecially when it comes to the US and the democrat primaries. I have yet to find a norwegian friend that doesn't endorse Bernie Sanders. I have yet to find a norwegian friend that's not saddened by Biden winning the primaries. I absolutely think you're right when it comes to a big portion of scandinavia having orange tendencies when it comes to individualism - But I do think we lean to the greener side, even yellow in some cases. Like, one can't deny the fact that the politics probably reflect the ethics of the majority of the population? or? I'm not sure if it's too far out to beleive that the spiral stages can look different to some degree from culture to culture and climate to climate? I might be wrong, but I actually beleive geography has some say in it. SAME. On another note, I really appreciate this thread for making us think, not defend or attack.
  5. Ahh I see.. That's too bad. It would be interesting with some more in depth research on this topic
  6. I'm doing a spiral dynamics art project.. I need some help finding examples of healthy stage purple and red historical people that are easily recognizable. I was thinking along the lines of some kind of warlord/word leader or roman emperor for red. For purple I don't have a clue. Would appreciate your help!!
  7. Nice to see you guys ?? Hello from my flesh prison
  8. ? I'm not completely sure how US government works - But lets say, in this example, Bernie won the presidental election: Would he even manage to get new laws through? Or would other politicians still be able to vote him down?
  9. Totally agree! It's a systemic issue for sure. If I was in his situation and lived his life I'd probably do the same. ??‍♀️
  10. Well... Bezos just bought a 165 million usd luxury villa with: 3 hot houses, 2 guest houses, a nine-hole golf course, a tennis court, a "motor court" with gas pumps... In the meantime Americans can't afford shelter and the number of people on the street are increasing. Tax the rich.
  11. I hope everyone supports bernie with actually voting.. Looks dark though
  12. Not if you go for the spiritual ones. ?
  13. Careful speculating about others health...
  14. I saw that thread already, didn't find what i was looking for. Yea I thought about him, interesting character. Not sure if he's the healthiest example though, but hard for me to be the judge of that.
  15. Thank you guys, really appreciate it ?
  16. Say that to a Trump supporter ?? Thanks everyone! Still open for more suggestions ?
  17. I remember reading about Finland testing out universal basic income-how did that whole thing go?
  18. Ohhh, your post make much more sense to me now haha. Language... ? Where are you from?
  19. It's not poverty in scandinavia. Remember all the goods we get from the state. Like free healthcare. One time i got acute blood poisoning, had to have an ambulance, three nights in the hospital, lots of meds, i got food 3x a day. My bill afterwards was zero. (i didnt have insurance) I make 53k USD a year, tax about 36-40% of it, and live comfortably. I'm more than happy to tax a lot to make sure the less fortunate have a safety net.
  20. Like i understand where you guys are coming from, but this is a party you have no knowledge about and a system you probably never stuidied and/or understand. I think It's better to ask questions and be curious than create issues that doesn't exist from this position.
