  1. I’d say it’s still mostly orange from what I can tell, but there is certainly a significant streak of red and some blue which is mainly there due to nationalism rather than highly religious forms of blue.
  2. LMAO, I watched the whole thing and Trump said that they were going to take it down, and lo and behold… I really thought Trump was being over the top when he tried to predict that. He was certainly speaking in his typical biased way, but he didn’t say anything I think would justify YouTube taking the video down.
  3. I just sit in the meditation sub forum 90% of the time and take ventures into the other sub forums when there’s nothing new and good to see on the meditation sub forum. I use the forum as my main social media. It’s mostly entertainment that has some potential upsides beyond what else I’d be doing on my phone typically. At times people ask a question where I can give helpful feedback, and sometimes I stumble upon a thread which introduces something new and quite useful for me.
  4. When I meditate, I usually go through a series of 5-7 different spiritual aspects of my direct experience which I’ve gathered as part of my baseline consciousness after doing this stuff for 8 years rather intensely. Usually, I’ll start with my “zero gravity” aspect of my direct experience. I describe what this “zero gravity” means in this video. You can watch it if you’re interested to know more: How to Permanently Realize “Zero Gravity” on the Level of Perception (Spiritual Insight Guide) Then I’ll go to the Boundless Space aspect of the fifth jhana (Buddhist term you can look up if interested). As I’m turning thought and attention to these different aspects, I will amplify their intensity. Anyway, the next thing I do is I will then turn attention to the Boundless Consciousness aspect of the sixth jhana. Side note: when I say “the ‘xyz’ aspect of the ‘xyz’ jhana,” I am saying this as at this point in the meditation I am not in a completely formless state of consciousness which is required for it to be a full 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th jhana. Usually by this time things are rather close to formless, with sensations of form being detuned to <10% of my baseline state of consciousness which is already likely detuned to some extent compared to how most people experience things. At this point, I’ll usually try to move into the 7th jhana or at least a rudimentary form of it or quasi-7th jhana state. I don’t have a good way yet to reach 8th jhana with any consistency, so I don’t waste time trying for that currently. Next, I’ll release my attention from focusing on any of these particular aspects of my awareness to then feeling all sensations as they are. This is a state where essentially all sensations and thoughts are just a seemingly infinite soup of flickering micro-phenomena with the visual field having at least 100 unique sensations within a second but often seemingly far more than that which is obviously a bit hard to count. At this point, all of the distinct sense doors are very noticeably merged into one sense door which is something certain Buddhists like to talk about. Lastly, once the soup of sensations is really boiling, I’ll turn my attention to the impermanence of these various instantaneously flickering sensations. I prefer to do this with music by the way. I may also throw in the insight that this field of experience is all that this field of experience can know/experience. When all of this is said and done, I’m in a state that is in ways more potent, satisfying, and awe-inspiring than let’s say my 10 tab of LSD or 5.87 dried grams of psilocybin God Consciousness experiences 2-3 years ago. All of this is done by using thought in unison with skills developed in meditation and psychedelic trips. I often prefer to vape three medium to long hits of delta-10/delta-8 THC when I do this practice as it loosens things up quite a bit and makes the level of consciousness reached typically higher than doing the practice completely sober. This is only one version of using thought to increase the profundity of states that I do. It’s the format I’ve been using for the past couple weeks. It’s not uncommon to run into effects people experience while on serotonergic psychedelics while I’m doing practices such as these. One example of this that I experienced a few nights ago would be my entire visual field morphing into essentially a single color in my environment with very little distinction to be noticed in the visual field.
  5. Good Evening God, You’re bringing lots of traffic to our site. As a show of appreciation, we would like to astronomically raise your rates. We understand that this rate increase will not affect you due to your omnipotence. Regards, Vi-MeO Customer Service
  6. What of consciousness would rather imagine limitations to a physical form’s capabilities?
  7. I went to China with my native friend a couple years ago. I can definitely see how living there as a westerner would be suboptimal in ways. I don’t have much advice to give though. Maybe find some friends through a hobby, sport, or spiritual endeavor that people do in groups. This might help it feel more comfortable.
  8. It has improved my baseline significantly, and I can get into states as intense as a moderate dosed psychedelic trip while sober. On more rare occasions, it can be comparable to high dose trips, but those instances usually occur while I’m in a higher baseline state due to shifts along the progress of insight map (usually in the Arising & Passing Away or at the transition from Equanimity to cessation) which you can find described here: https://www.mctb.org/mctb2/table-of-contents/part-iv-insight/30-the-progress-of-insight/
  9. Vipassana has worked amazingly well for me. I haven’t tried Kriya to be able to compare them for myself though.
  10. Properly applied thought can turn a mystical experience into awakening.
  11. Great report ?
  12. I would recommend starting on the most basic of things which simultaneously do not involve much emotional labor. Drink enough water to be properly hydrated (almost or completely clear piss) Take a walk outside for 10-15 minutes per day Meditate for 1-5 minutes per day (whatever you can manage) Watch 5-10 minutes of self-improvement content each day You can continue the list with your own small adjustments you think might work. These are only to show examples of things that might work to improve things to a degree while still being not too difficult to complete. A small yet consistent positive habit can do a lot of good.
  13. There’s no way I could adequately communicate the states I get into on a daily basis and people actually get a good grasp of what I’m referring to. With even higher states than that, it’s essentially impossible.
  14. Dukkha is often translated to dissatisfaction as well. As others here have said, Buddhism asserts that there is dissatisfaction inherent to life before completing the path that leads out of dissatisfaction. You already know that dissatisfaction exists before you even hear about Buddhism. Buddhism is good news as it details a way to get out of dissatisfaction.
  15. Well most people who use weed or THC do not do serious consciousness work, and most people who do serious consciousness work think that the substance isn’t helpful because they see the effects it has on the people who typically use it in dysfunctional ways. This deters a lot of people from actually getting the full benefits from it. THC has taken me to more radical states than anything else, and it’s not even close. I think there is a significant amount of variation on how THC affects people when you start mixing it with serious consciousness work. There are some who it still gives the usual dysfunctional effects, and there are others who unlock completely new levels of understanding and experience for themselves by using it. In my personal opinion, weed or other forms of THC are best used when combined with meditation practices. Learn how to do the practice well while completely sober, and then meditate while high occasionally. It really loosens things up for me and gives a surprising amount of control over the trip to just keep bringing it higher and higher if you are in the mood for it. I don’t know how things are where you live, but in the U.S. they have legalized hemp which allowed tons of companies a cost-effective way to start extracting the cannabinoids and other forms of THC which usually only exist in tiny, tiny quantities. I personally prefer delta-10-THC the most out of what I’ve tried, including normal weed, but THC-O, delta-8-THC, THCP, and THCV all have produced some great effects for me and all have their own unique effects while still providing a similar experience to regular delta-9-THC which is what’s causing most of the effects in smoked weed.
  16. THC can be very potent when combined with this work for certain people. I’ve had plenty of trips on THC that were far more potent than heroic doses of serotonergic psychedelics were for me.
  17. Yeah, that’s kind of my point that these things don’t matter as much as people think they do. Exactly. Once people begin to interpret experiences, there’s a large chance that the interpretation is just a shot in the dark.
  18. I’ve had experiences which point me to prior lifetimes, but even direct experience of such a thing only suggests a possibility. It’s at least as likely that these experiences could simply be the mind feeding itself false information that it wants to believe.
  19. There’s no way to stop seeking if one has not started seeking. There’s no way to stop seeking until the seeking activity brings about a change which is authentically deemed to be satisfactory.
  20. I think this is a key thing many people misunderstand.
  21. You might get something out of this video I made about this topic last year.
  22. You can have a psychedelic level of consciousness just by having a strong belief with a lot of personal meaning behind it. Beliefs have a lot of power.
  23. It seems like you’re still operating in the paradigm that meditation means sitting practice. There is far more to be done outside of your daily sits. Bhikkhu Candana does a good job of discussing this.
  24. Stop asking for methodical steps on how to use intuition if you actually want to learn to use intuition. Can you see the irony here?
