Have you watched his streams? He will literally submerge himself in source material for 5+ hours straight to get informed on the topics he cares about. When he doesn't know a topic, he simply says that it's unfamiliar to him. Destiny is the least emotionally driven political streamer I know.

Let me guess, figuring out you were full of shit won't change anything with regard to how you formulate opinions in the future. You go with what feels good to you, and coincidentally aligns with your "side", you actually don't give a shit about what's actually true. Such a waste of air. -

Lol, yeah so much for shadowbanned. How did so many crazy conspitard MAGAs find their way to this forum, and why are they here? -

It's not, you dummy. Simply go to his channel and watch it. Shouldn't be too difficult a task, even for someone with a room temperature intelligence. If it is, you can always ask ChatGPT how to look up a youtube channel. Yes, clips from Joe Rogan's clips channel. You guys are something else. -

This is a question I've tried to solve for such a long time. There must be something I'm completely missing about human nature as I have absolutely no idea how so many people can be so extremely gullible. It's like waking up one morning and realizing half the population is now convinced the earth is flat. Then soon after, the flat-earth party makes it illegal to believe anything else, and we enter 1984 territory real fast. -

@MrTruf Please don't use that stupid notation. It's okay to have no idea what you're talking about. Generally, the less of a clue you have, the more you should know to shut up about it. You clearly have no idea who Donald Trump is or what he's done, and I'm not going to spend the next 5+ hours summarizing to you, or every other dummy utterly incapable of doing even the tiniest bit of research on their own, every outrageous thing Trump has done in the last few years that would immediately get any democratic candidate booted. From your wording, I take it you are very, very young (13 to 20), and very much in over your head. Your entire post screams Dunning Kruger. Know when to shut up about something, and instead try to gain wisdom from those that have done their research, and better, stop being lazy and do it yourself. If you look back on your post 10 years from now, you're going to die of cringe.

Excuse me? The facts of the matter dictates if something is disinformation or not. Do you not believe there is such a thing as a factual statement? Suppressing alternative views (misinformation) on covid vaccines was necessary to limit the spread of the virus. These kinds of people were indirectly killing their fellow citizens by refusing to follow the advice of healthcare experts, and even worse, spreading the misinformation to others.

My point is that all people that use modern technology are already being monitored to this day without these tools. You could think of them as something that runs in the background, checking which sources you're reading and also how you make up your mind and express yourself to others based on this information, and whether or not you take any steps towards verifying what you're reading online. While it might breed more resentment, something has to be done, there is no question about it in my mind. Even if Trump doesn't win, it's unacceptable that he has come this far. He should have been jailed after his failed coup following Jan. 6 and that should have been the end of Trump. This didn't happen, of course. Instead, he was granted full immunity for his involvement on Jan. 6. Does that seem very democratic to you? This is not a right vs. left issue, it's about preserving democracy.

What I'm proposing does not violate the first amendment. In what way is it far left to want to filter out votes you know are made up of misinformation and lies? I think this would strengthen a democracy, not weaken it.

You might be right. If Trump wins, or even if he gets anywhere close to winning, after all he's said and done, I'm losing all faith in humanity. And I don't think this problem is limited to the US, but rather human beings in general. I'm convinced this could happen in any country. It's people that are the problem, or rather, people that are very susceptible to treating whatever tgey're thought as truth, without doing any research or questioning. I would be in favor of revoking voting rights for people found to match that category, on either side. Simply force big tech to comply and implement AI algorithms that monitor peoples level of fetting influenced by misinformation. Big tech already monitors everyone so it shouldn't be any issue in that sense.

I don't understand what you're trying to say. What do you mean by how things really work? If such a large portion of people (Trump supporters) are able to get completely brainwashed to the point where they're no longer able to question anything, maybe the best course of action is to implement a system that detects faults in reasoning and ones susceptibility to cult-like behavior, making targeted individuals temporarily unable to vote on anything. Then you'd ideally be left with a system that is secured against this kind of scenario, where you don't accidentally elect the next Hitler due to the populous being highly susceptible to propaganda and fearmongering.

What a crazy, surreal timeline. Half the country is literally in favor of a new Hitler. -
My brain still can't comprehend how this guy has any support, let alone the idea that he might actually become the next US president. A stage Beige president in the most powerful country on Earth is a terrifying thought. I have to think hard to come up with someone that's a worse presidential candidate than Trump.

I mostly agree with what you're saying. The biggest use I find with Spiral Dynamics or Integral Theory is being able to quickly and efficiently label those around me, whether they're 1st or 2nd tier thinkers. If I don't see 2nd tier qualities in someone, I typically don't care enough to form deep friendships, or pursue romantic relationships, for example. I don't think it's possible to identify third tier consciousness in the same way, unless you already know someone on a very deep level, and know what to look for. The biggest sign for me that someone is 2nd tier or higher is a level of mental calmness where they usually never get riled up about what's going on around them. This is generally more true for Turquoise and above, but can be for Yellow as well. 1st tier consciousness is completely incapable of this. Their level of well-being will always be directly tied to what's going on around them. I would disagree that Spiral Dynamics and Integral Theory are imaginary ego concepts. They can be, but they can also be very useful tools for assessing oneself and those around you. It's quite powerful to be able to know with certainty if someone is a 1st tier thinker or not, especially before deciding to form any kind of deep relationships with that person, be it romantic, business-related or a deep friendship. -

@DLH It's not about being interested in labels, or "ego mind games". It's about wanting to share ideas and experiences. I just find it limiting to want to put an artificial barrier at Turquoise, when there is so much more. -
I don't think there's much to gain from it. If someone is still supporting Trump they're either a fascist or uninformed.

@Marvelllious I would recommend that you block TechLead. He's a scam artist. Tech is arguably the most secure sector out there, currently. The need for good developers is only increasing. Either go the uni route, and/or build an actual enterprise application with some complexity and original features that has actual use cases for potential consumers, ideally one you can charge money for. If you showcase todo app number 10 million, you're not getting the job. -

That would be nice. In a sane world, the republican party would receive 0 electoral votes if a candidate like Trump was representing it. It's like voting for Palpatine, Sauron or Voldemort to run your country, thinking they have your best interest at heart. You either have be unbelievably stupid, naive, or you have to be so far-right that you're off completely off the charts to vote for someone like that. -

Since the test is limited to SD and doesn't account for 3rd tier, it's quite flawed and unfortunately incompatible with people centered in the 3rd tier (indigo, violet, ultraviolet, clear light). A great many of the "low SD" answers could actually be 3rd tier depending on how they're being interpreted. What's considered the peak in SD is like the initial baby steps of maturity in Integral Theory. Going from 2nd tier (Turquoise) to 3rd tier (Indigo) is when you start discarding every notion of self, every association. Then either you keep going until there is nothing left, or what's more likely, you return to second tier, giving in to every survival mechanism in your body going into full panic mode, in fear of dying. If you make it to the other side, you're now at Violet. -
@Joshe Wow, he's trying to pay people to vote Trump? Surely that can't be legal? So Elon is going to buy the swing states? No way that's how the election will end. Is it just me or does this look like an insane gamble from Musk? Does he have that much to lose from Trump losing that he's willing to go to prison for him?

My favorite was Vance refusing to talk about Jan. 6. I think Walz should've just kept pushing on Jan. 6 until he got an actual response.

@Buck Edwards You cannot speedrun yourself to enlightenment. If one is overly dependant on any other person in hopes to advance spiritually, that's a sign for concern. Sadghuru cannot make you enlightened. Only you can do that, through years and years of hard work. -

A sure way to get lost on the spiritual path is to outsource your meaning onto something external. Be it a god (idol worshipping), a guru or whatever else. This is a regression in spiritual growth. It's natural to seek for something or someone to blame, when the only one to blame is one self. -
Most overrated movie? 2001: A Space Odyssey is certainly the most overrated movie I've ever seen. Painfully uneventful.
