@Matthew85 absolutely.. I often ask people if they think trees have awareness. (yes, this language is not how I would prefer to think about it, but it's the way I seem have to communicate about it) My follow up question is, how do they know which direction to face their leaves if they aren't aware of the Sun? Many people associate awareness with 'seeing' or 'hearing' or something like that, but I think it's much more subtle.

@AtheisticNonduality I sincerely don't think that was what @JoeVolcano was talking about.. Solipsism, that is. However, he may have been pushing in the direction of saying, 'of course Darwin is full of crap, we all are'. It's the 'fullness of Crap' which is the real 'explanation for why this moment is exactly as it is', and all of this 'evolution and creation' talk is just 'more crap' to keep us here.

@AtheisticNonduality under/over.. whichever is the case, it's more an issue of understanding/communication than it is ill intent. I totally understand what Joe is saying, because I am comfortable with his language, and the structure of his speaking style/communication.. you and Carl are misunderstanding what he's saying through no fault of your own, and this is frustrating for both sides.. trust me, @JoeVolcano is sincere in his wishes to simply help you have a similar understanding about the whole situation as himself, because he understands the answers to your questions, but he's not giving you the answer you want in a format you want it, and this, rightfully so, is frustrating.

@JoeVolcano they think you're trolling because you're kind of 'talking over their heads', and to them it appears as trolling,

@JoeVolcano knows what's up.. Cheers Joe

@Matthew85 I think Leo's suggesting that Everything is 'Consciousness', and that's what you are. We tend to get confused when we say things like 'my consciousness' or 'having consciousness'.. this would be like talking about reality like this: Does an imitation Christmas tree have reality? Is it just another part of my larger reality? Saying 'the tree is made of my consciousness' is like saying 'the tree is made of my reality'.... confusing. Rather, consider that 'Reality' is all there is, and it's everything there IS, and you're that. There is no separation between 'you' and 'reality' such that there can be a 'your reality' and 'my reality'.. same with consciousness. Humans don't 'have consciousness'.. they are consciousness, because everything IS.

Mason Riggle replied to trenton's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@trenton you are speaking of Human Desires, I suppose, but consider the 'desire' for an object in motion to remain in motion. One thing you may notice about 'desire/wanting' is that it is identical to 'the avoidance of suffering', and these seeming opposites: desire and suffering, are actually two sides of the same coin, and are defined relative to each other. What we desire is 'not to suffer'.. Suffering is 'that which we desire to avoid'.. Desire/Avoidance of Suffering is the why anything occurs at all.. for without some state of existence that 'desires' to be some other state, what you get is a static, unchanging, nothingness, rather than a impermanent ever changing somethingness. The law of attraction works because there is literally no difference between 'the will of the Universe' (how the Universe 'desires' to be) and the manifestation of that desire. -
^the bullshit I'm dreaming up Always important to do the thing you should stop doing in order to remind yourself to stop doing it.

@Jannes perhaps think of it like this- if you were to take a very 'far away' perspective of the ongoings of Earth.. an 'alien onlooker' perspective.. with no reason to care what happens on Earth.. from that perspective, is it 'okay' when a Lion kills and eats a Gazelle? How about from the Gazelle's perspective? Relatively - from a certain perspective, it's not okay, or it is okay. Absolutely- from the 'absolute' perspective, it's neither 'okay' or 'not okay'.. it's 'necessary and obvious'.

@WokeBloke What was 'the cause' (creator) of 'this sentence'? A) the keyboard on which it was typed. B) the hands that pushed the buttons on the keyboard. C) me. D) my thoughts about the topic of the sentence. E) my brain which produced the thoughts about topic of the sentence. F) The feeling I got when I read your comment, which caused my brain to produce thoughts about the topic of the sentence. G) My 1st grade teacher who helped teach me to write in English, without which the sentences creation would not have been possible. Which ONE of those is THE CAUSE of 'the sentence'? Do you see how it's all just one big system going along all together, and you can't really 'single out' or 'distinguish' ONE part as 'the creator' or 'cause' of any other part of the system? Without my parents having sex, this sentence never happens, right? Did my parents create this sentence?? I'm sure you'd credit them for creating me. Or was it my grandparents who created me? I think my grandparents created this sentence. Don't you? -
Mason Riggle replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
duality vs non-duality. The separation between the two (creator and creation) is a trick of language. It's like asking if an egg is the same as a chicken? Well, you look at the whole 'chicken/egg' system which is one thing, and call it two things, which you then imagine are somehow separate from each other, as if you could have just chickens and no eggs, or just eggs and no chickens, but when you see it for what it is.. 'a chicken/egg system', then the illusion of separation is dispelled. -
"Consciousness is both Creator and Creation. The seemingly apparent separation is an illusion. " @Jannes if you seriously contemplate this until you grasp it, this will clear up soooo much for you.

Leo probably thinks he's 'really imaginary' or 'imaginarily real'. (pssst.. there's no difference) -
@BlessedLion Sounds amazing. Currently trying to build my YouTube channel so I can work from anywhere and live this type of life! I realize it may take a few more years stuck at my current miserable job, but it's going to be worth it! I just had 5 months off work, unpaid, for medical reasons, and I spent that time planning and starting my new career and life plan. Worth it!!

@Inliytened1 there is never anyone 'doing anything'.. only being, even when 'thinking there's a doer of what's being done' is how it's being. -
Mason Riggle replied to Tim R's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Inliytened1 do you know how rocks behave? Exactly how they want to. Now this 'wanting' isn't like the human emotion of desire, but using human language, we could say, 'an object in motion wants to remain in motion, and an object at rest wants to remain at rest' and this would be a useful analogy for describing the nature of reality. -
Mason Riggle replied to Tim R's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Inliytened1 it's a map. Wanting (Love) and Existence are the same thing. Existence IS precisely because that's how it 'wants' to be. There really is no 'existence that wants'.. that's duality. -
Mason Riggle replied to Tim R's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No. I exist because I want to. -
Mason Riggle replied to Tim R's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
How? Can you do it without wanting to? -
Mason Riggle replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
If I try to change what's about to occur, have I changed anything, or have I simply participated in 'what's about to occur'? hint: "Any attempt to change what's occurring, is just more 'what's already occurring." - Me -

@Tim R I must want THIS, otherwise I'd being doing something else. -

@Someone here I am my mother. If you put your hand on me, from your perspective (which is not 'your hand') both exist in the same place. -
Mason Riggle replied to Tim R's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Kksd74628 it's an easy hang up. On @Someone here's thread, I posed the question for contemplation: Do I always do what I want, or can I do 'other than I want' if I want to? Another pointer to show it's all Selfish Love. -
Mason Riggle replied to Tim R's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Kksd74628 it's HUGELY important to remember to treat your own 'ego/body' as 'other' too when being compassionate to 'others'. Your 'mind/body' is as 'external to you' as I am.
