@EdgeGod900 Ye it is I unfortunately do not catch your drift *cries*

@integral Fairs. Maybe, at this point of your life, your time would be better spent outside of this forum.

@MsNobody Lmao! I literally had the same exact thought about ex machina. I also thought about the film 'Her' lol. @MsNobody Haha ye it blows my mind that something like this has finally been created. And it was literally created by some dude on reddit who just got a lot of progress out of usual IFS and wanted to turn it into an AI! He says he's going to continue to try to refine it over time too. The future is now -
@EdgeGod900 Fairs man. I stand by what i said, and I disagree with a lot of your points. But we can disagree.

@LSD-Rumi Fairs man. Perhaps we just have different beliefs that mean that we see things differently. A sort of overview of my point of view is by changing your beliefs to more empowering ones then you can improve your level of game (pickup ability).
-
@LSD-Rumi I get you bro. However, I'd offer the following perspectives. First I'd question how you know that is actually true, and not just a commonly held cultural assumption. Secondly, I'd question whether if that is actually so, girls might feel a deep desire to have an attractive guy approach them, and so are really wanting you to approach them in an attractive way. Thirdly, I think it might be worth contemplating on the difference between 'true' beliefs and empowering beliefs. Sometimes its better to have an empowering belief than a 'true' belief. And often, in my opinion, by changing your beliefs that new belief simply becomes what is true. For example, say you have the belief that 'women hate sex', then i imagine the way you would act would make it more likely that you have interactions with women which trigger women to act as though they hate sex. However, if you changed that to the belief that 'women love sex' then I imagine you would more likely have interactions with women that trigger them to act more as though they love sex. So, its like your beliefs can create your reality, in my opinion. So, perhaps consider trying to adopt the most empowering set of beliefs with respect to your goals. That said, i recognise there are some limitations to it. I.e. if you try to adopt the belief that "if you whip your dick out in the local supermarket, supermodels will emerge through the walls and suck your dick", that probably won't stop you getting arrested by the police if you actually do it . And that adopting some beliefs would simply risk you transgressing cultural norms to an extent that you come off to unrelatable and socially uncalibrated.

@Jannes If you want a reliable answer to a legal question, I'd get the services of a competent/ well-regarded solicitor/ attorney who has legal expertise in the relevant context, and relevant legal jursidiction, i.e. England and Wales, or the certain state you're in. Even understanding what legal jurisdiction your query would fall under requires expert advice, in my opinion. In my opinion, there's a lot of misleading legal advice out there. Its important not just in terms of getting correct legal advice, but also for issues of legal liability, i.e. I imagine you'll be more likely to get treated better by the relevant law if you are found in breach of some law because you followed incorrect legal advice from a solicitor in their professional capacity, rather than someone on an internet forum.

@MsNobody I literally just discovered this AI chatbot today. I think it could be of value. But the chatbot is designed to help guide you to do IFS therapy sessions on yourself. My view is it basically guides you to do IFS parts work on your own, in a similar way that an IFS Therapist would. Here's the link: https://ifs-therapist.vercel.app/ I haven't had an enormous amount of direct experience with the app so far, given the very recent discovery of it. But i had results from it even with the first day that i was very impressed by! And, my view is you could do some very deep parts work with it. Though I think you'd have to be okay with a few technical glitches, and some limitations like it not being able to keep data from previous sessions. -

@Danioover9000 I'm curious what NLP modality do you use? -
@LSD-Rumi Nice bro. I'd think about considering working with your beliefs here. It seems quite me versus them. And I imagine that will come through in your vibe. Perhaps you could work on getting a more empowering belief in this context. For example, 'It just didn't happen yet with her', 'she just wasn't in the place in her life to have an awesome experience', or 'Girls here are not stupid, just disheartened by the fact they don't meet awesome guys like me that often'. Also, I'd look into eventually thinking about how you contributed to this state of affairs. Perhaps, if you say had a different set of underlying beliefs then she would have had a different experience of you, and be ecstatic at the idea of meeting up with you :). Or maybe you need to work on something like eye contact. But I guess for now its probably just worth focusing on getting your number of approaches up before you start getting into really analysing your approaches. But ye man I respect your courage and tenacity to take action in this domain!

@molosku @Leo Gura I understand the point of view that Leo's way of speaking in videos can just seem arrogant. But honestly, and I'd say i've contemplated this for a long time, i think there is a lot of potential for devilry in getting Leo to consider changing his speaking style in videos. In my opinion, the way you speak Leo resonates with very low consciousness parts of people and like you say gets people out of complacency. If you stop communicating in that manner then i am rather confident that these people simply wouldn't resonate with your new style of communications, and they would be attracted to other voices that resonate at that level. And there are a lot of dark, twisted manipulative individuals who will resonate with these low consciousness people, and just exploit them to their own end. For myself, I have a lot of trauma, i.e. serious depression, CPTSD. And in the past I've had times where i've said screw this, and stopped watching your content and also stopped looking at pickup. And i end up unconsciously looking for a new authority figure who resonates with my level of consciousness, and end up in abusive situations and relationships. I think on the forum there is a lot more room for positive change because i think regulars are much more bought in here, and also can keep the resonance going by watching your youtube videos. In my opinion, telling Leo to change his speaking style in videos is literally threatening people's lives and making people vulnerable to abuse. And making very vulnerable people even more vulnerable. I think its so important to have at least some sort of understanding of the positives of Leo's speaking style in videos. Otherwise, and I know it might seem harsh and even dramatic, but you're literally, in ignorance, risking a lot of people's lives.

@MsNobody Congrats! Cool to see an actualized.org forum user collab too.

@LSD-Rumi Okay. Noted. Maybe go learn about personality disorders. This sort of behaviour from this other user does not surprise me in the least bit considering my understanding of personality disorders. The level of delusion some of these people are in is astounding, i.e. an NPD person. They'll literally believe they are the second coming of christ, and will use anything they can to justify it, unconsciously. -
@Paul Boldyrev I'd agree. However, the level of manipulation that does happen, isn't the same as the manipulation that you have to engage in. For example, my view of the average relationship is that is full of manipulations. However, you can do self development work to the degree that you end up in a relationship that is way less manipulative than the norm.

@LSD-Rumi The guy probably hasn't done his shadow work. So is still relatively unconscious and acting out the same destructive patterns they always have. That said, I'm guessing this post was in part devised as a subtle way of getting your own back on this person. That's understandable to me, if it is the case. However, ultimately doesn't seem like a reliable relationship conflict strategy to me. In future once you see a red flag, I'd recommend just terminating the conversation asap. You can just make up some random excuse ending it, and then jut be firm in that frame. -
@CARDOZZO Great book, in my opinion! In my experience, can help one understand why it is that some people have "such bad luck in love". And realise it isn't really about luck at all, just attachment style.
-
@Paul Boldyrev I'd say its always manipulative, just to varying degrees. A lot of sales, to my opinion, inherently involves exploiting vulnerabilities in human psyches, so as to try and influence to people to act differently compared to how they otherwise would. That said, the way i see it most industries are full of manipulation, again just to varying degrees.

https://ifs-therapist.vercel.app/ Found this on reddit. Edit: Some further notes from the creator: "It is open source and the chats are not stored so you don't have to worry about privacy. It's made using the chatgpt tech. It's surprisingly good for guiding an IFS session if you find it difficult. It responds to what you tell it. If you like recording down what parts you work with, you can ask it to summarize the session and parts involved and it does it really well."

I think the key is to restrict using alcohol as a crutch as much as possible. Its a massive cope for a lot of folks in my opinion. That said, I don't see too much harm in every once in a while getting drunk for fun, with mates.

@2xj_m Ah gotcha

@Emerald Agree strongly with this. I was shocked when I researched about what fascism was, and the prominent definitions seem to correlate with speakers who appeared on prominent conservative leaning shows like Fox. Trump too seemed to tick a fair few boxes. Also, I think hidden political agendas, be they purposeful or accidental, can be found essentially in any view. An example of this, to my mind, is the popular sentiment around the idea of how people should act in debates and discussions. Because even take the following example of an idea. What i see to be the idea that two figures in a debate ought to be respectful to each other, and not jump to conclusions about what the other is saying. It appears apolitical to a lot of folk that this should be the case. But i would argue its actually a view that caters to a conservative and far-right agenda because it allows for a lot of dog whistling going unchallenged. Further, I would argue that policing tone, i.e. you shouldn't be angry, gives more power to privileged groups because said groups are less likely to be traumatised. Therefore, in my view, privileged group members are generally less likely to 'act out' in discussions, and so less likely to have their views delegitimised compared to less privileged folks.

@Vlad_ I like the post. Here's my view on nofap. Personally, I see nofap used as a pretty superficial crutch in general. I've done it before and I did notice more energy and more sexual energy towards women. I found myself much more aroused, and sexual desire played a much bigger part in my life. I did enjoy this, and did find value in the sense of discipline developed through the practice. However, I found it pretty shallow in the overall effect it had on my psyche at the time. And the results were always a few devil's handshakes away from being lost . Which i found made nofap pretty unreliable. Also, I think nofap can often be used in the place of doing serious inner work. I don't tend to hear people talking about things like depth psychotherapy in those communities. Usually its quite stage orange, in my view. Further, I think what's not accounted for is that nofap has a whole community surrounding it with certain norms around what is to be celebrated, i.e. not jerking off for a month is something worthy of celebration. So, I think when people go for a long streak, some of the positive results they attribute to nofap are likely just feelings of pride of meeting celebratory norms within a community they belong to. Finally, I think a lot of folks in the nofap community already probably deal with issues surrounding sexual shame. So, doing nofap furthers that sexual shame in my view because the practice is, in my view, centred around the idea of the enjoyment of sexual pleasure being wrong in some manner, at least implicitly. I wouldn't be surprised if a decent amount of those in the community are actually attracted by this sexual shaming dynamic.
