  1. Gotta do them field reports boio
  2. You're welcome mate. Also, it might be helpful for you to start each noting cycle by internally saying 'I love you' towards the chosen sensory experience. In that way you also build a loving attitude towards all experience. (I get this might not make sense until you get an understanding of shinzen young's mindfulness system)
  3. Have you worked with Shinzen young's see-hear-feel meditation techniques?
  4. Am applying the principle of patience, and mastery mindset. Have shortened my meditations. Was trying 2 hours twice per day, but a wiser pace, imo, is doing 1 hour sessions, going to see how doing 3 of them per day works. I'm also interested in experimenting further with see rest, and centering prayer. Been seeing improvements with both. Still having issues with metta meditation but will keep experimenting. But with the see hear feel technique im using at the moment its clear to me that many gains are on the way.
  5. Mindfulness meditation plus metta can be useful for self acceptance imo.
  6. @Phoenix Garfield From this line alone, I'd say cut her off and go no contact. Also, imo, understand there are good parts to most abusive relationships.
  7. I really want to crack metta meditation. going to see how prayer can help me, though i'm not religious. Also, I am going to start trying to listen to spoken poetry more. In the past, being romantic about life has been such a great attitude to have. And, with that hardships and the day to day have a different, more poetic vibration to them. Just listened to this: ------------ But man this muscle tension is a bitch and a half.
  8. Been working on meditations that involve labelling for quite a while now. An issue I've found is I find the process of labelling very tedious. However, recently I've found a tool that makes labelling a lot easier for me: My xbox controller! To label, I use the Y for inner/ outer see, B for inner/ outer hear, and A for inner/ outer feel. (Using Shinzen young's terminology here, e.g. inner see = mental image) Would be curious to hear other people's experiences, if they decide to use a controller to label. I think it could catch on
  9. Can see it as a shit test. Can just make a joke out of it. Like Leo's first response on this thread. Personally, I would prefer to go with "That's not what my step mum told me last night". But I'm a bit fucked up so suit it too your tastes 😂
  10. Why not redirect your life to ur mama
  11. Been makin gain after gain with meditation. Doing 90 minute sessions with see hear feel. Also, have finally figured out a surrender meditation too. Fucking love shinzen young. Been using an xbox controller to help with labelling. Is pretty handy. I might add in a mantra meditation too. We'll see. For now I'm aiming for at least 2 90 minute sessions per day, and one surrender per day. --------------- Just did a two hour see hear feel sit. Woweeee. I like the challenge of it.
  12. Nice work dude. Looking forward to the book
  13. I regret letting sadguru blow my back out. In hindsight, it wasn't right action. Sincerely though, probably not taking an antidepressant earlier
  14. Go to zoo bar in Leicester square lmao. There are about 25 puas per square inch in that venue lol. or use the website game global
  15. Would recommend see-hear-feel meditation guide. Also, reflect on why you think your past did not go as you would have liked and what you could do now instead.
  16. @Something Funny Tricky one imo. Because ADHD and some other issues can have similar symptoms. I know confusion between ADHD and CPTSD is a tricky one. Its not uncommon in ADHD folk to have both from what I've seen because life with undiagnosed ADHD can be traumatic af. I'd say the effect of stimulant medication is a good tell. If you have ADHD it should calm you down, and give you an alert focus. However, if you don't then you'll get really wired on it and jittery, I believe. Also, regarding the distinction between cptsd and adhd, you can investigate to what extent you have a history of traumas. Here is a vid that can help on that distinction too: I guess also getting a well regarded diagnostic psychiatrist could help. Also, someone I knew recommended that you could get brain scans that helped with diagnosis. But I haven't explored that myself so don't know too much about it.
  17. @Something Funny Got diagnosed with it, though likely a cptsd misdiagnosis. But in the few years I was diagnosed with it, I researched a lot about it and spent a fair amount of time in online adhd communities.
  18. @Something Funny Yeah if you have ADHD, I'd really recommend taking medication for it.
  19. Hey, I think the book, 'The artist's way' by Julia Cameron could be helpful for you. Especially, the journaling method she advocates called 'Morning pages'.
