I think you make fair points about people who graduate from these elite universities. I went to a very elite uni myself and I think similarly to you. Though I did notice a fair amount of them seemed very driven by status and pure success. But there were a mix of characters and many I only knew via their persona. But I disagree with your point about people from an average uni. Many might take that offer but many wouldn’t imo. As with the character of elite uni grads it’s not so black and white imo
