The greatest spiritual battle you will find on the path is accepting the loss of your material world. I think this is really taken for granted. You will lose physicality. If you’re someone who enjoys materialism, you may not be ready for this transition into the realm of spirit, consciousness and selflessness. Your ego will resist the process and once you permanently kill materialism you will have no way back. You will be all alone in a new paradigm with nobody to talk to. Once you learn to function in this new state of consciousness, you will appreciate it but you will also realise it can’t be discussed to others. You just see things how they actually are.

Literally just stare a candle directly in a dark room. that’s the closest you will ever get towards Truth.

@Nak Khid Look at your hand, look at the candle. They’re all pointers to Truth. It’s directly observable.

@Waken It’s the closest you can get to Truth! You could take it and run with it, there’s nothing closer to God than pure raw reality.

@Kiko It’s an extreme focusing on a single point, connecting with what is actual not thought or concept. You can use music, but it’s not an emotional connection you’re looking for, it’s a direct, raw observing.

@GreenLight skandhas is describing different types of experience that hold the illusion of self. E.g sight, sound, perception. That’s what I got from a 5 min google search.

@Brahman Reality being unaware of it’s raw data of awareness means reality is not enlightened, especially when you don’t realise you are reality.

I’ve watched about 30-40 minutes of Leo’s new video and it’s really fucking my mind. The fact absolute nothing has absolutely nothing stopping it from becoming something. The insight has been really been quite disturbing. I couldn’t even finish watching it, as my ego was more and more petrified. It might sound silly, but when you start to shake the metaphysical frameworks, things get scary fast.

The biblical god is one of the greatest delusions I have ever seen. To begin they try to personify God, as a father figure. Secondly, they believe God made man in his image. Thirdly, they believe God is holding the gates to paradise in the after-life and he will choose to send you to a fiery doom if you “Sin”. Fourthly, they believe so much in the personification of God they even pray to “him”, and sometime claim they can hear him. How can God be a person, that doesn’t make sense. God doesn’t exist as a form, but as formlessness. You could make the argument that God is purely subjective because you are God, metaphysically. There is no image of God, God is the screen of reality. The screen must be able to take on all forms, not just humans. Sin is not real. Sin is a personal bias on what a human believes to be good or bad. It doesn’t take into account that human morality is based on suffering, pleasure, survival etc. Everything is Love, fundamentally. You can’t pray to yourself. You need to be aware of yourself. You ≡ God and don’t have any agenda, other than being raw consciousness.

@Nak Khid materialism subjects you as a personal self, however when you transcend the human self and material reality, you realise that you’re God, not a man in the sky but the emptiness of being that you were previously unaware of.

@Frenk Science books become outdated and replaced because they’re non-fiction, people sadly prefer the fiction category of spirituality.

@SQAAD You can’t have light without dark, so the sacrifice was made for all of creation.
