Yeah this is where conventional labels of emotions create problems of how one “should” be feeling. Like that beautiful sad feeling you are describing comes with a negative connotation in society, like its a problem that should be fixed. The automatic reaction by the average person would be “oh no! Thats terrible you feel that way”. And if one buys into that it will manifest itself as always seeking a “better” state and suppressing what needs to come up. But instead just removing the label and feeling the raw emotional energy is positive in itself since we are designed to full feel into the full spectrum of emotions and not create additional thought stories of how a certain feeling should or shouldn’t be there. -
Just be safe and get the non fluoridated toothpaste, it will often be the same price as the fluoridated one. And be sure to floss and get a natural mouth rinse. Sometimes I even dilute a few drops of lemongrass or tea tree essential oils in a few ounces of water and use it as mouth-rinse, which makes my teeth feel insanely fresh. Don't neglect your oral health, it doesn't just exist in a vacuum, it will impact the other parts of your body as well and approve your smile and maybe even boost your confidence talking to others.

This is just adding needless abstractions to the big picture intention of pursuing truth and not choosing devilry. Of course its nuanced. -

With fresh you will be getting a bit more psilocin along with the psilocybin before it breaks down during the drying process. In my experience this speeds up the onset of the trip and intensifies it a bit, since your body takes longer to break down the psilocybin before it can take effect. But It should still be roughly 1/10 as potent as a dry gram. If you do dry them correctly and store them in a cool dry place they will still be potent. You will also have to consume less raw mushroom material. Grinding them up and making them into capsules you can swallow is also an option if you dry them. -

Selflessness and devilry do have the same value, in the sense there is no universal moral law written that one is better than the other, you aren't saying anything profound here. The important thing is one has a choice to which one they want to play into, after realizing that everything is infinite love and everyone else is also you, one choice is going to give you fulfillment and the other is going to create cognitive dissonance and suffering. -
I’m gonna give this a try, although I am never carrying a coin with me, maybe I’ll install a coin flipping phone app.

Hyperventilating is when you are expelling more Oxygen and have more CO2 than you should in your body, shamanic breathing is deep breathing in causing more oxygen to build up, they are exact opposites according to Leos video am I wrong? -
Rich Piana was an extreme case and bodybuilding in the conventional sense is bad for health, there are definitely ways to put on muscle naturally though, slow and steady over time, not forcing bulk but doing bodyweight and functional movements to change your physique. I think its good to reframe your goals away from bodybuilding though and more toward functional training if you are health conscious.

How do you think you would be mentally if you tapered off the SSRIs? That’s definitely the optimal route here. If you weren’t on them it would be important to maximize a practice of naturally boosting your seretonin and other feel good neurotransmitters, ie exercising, nutrition, sleep, meditation, sunlight. I feel for you, I know you have the power within especially with knowledge of actualized.org and spirituality you have the tools at your disposal to grow and overcome this. In the meantime, dont let the fact you are on SSRIs at the moment make you feel unworthy or lower you self esteem in any type of way.

I promise you if you can gradually adapt to a more plant based/whole foods diet your cognitive function and sense of well being will go through the roof. You will hit a new baseline of well-being where you can’t go back to eating low quality foods. This doesn’t mean your problems will go away of course but your mental energy and focus will go way up. What are you going to college for? I would take a nutrition/sports nutrition class if they offer it even if it isn’t your major, will be such a good investment of your time. The key here in not liking veggies, which is perfectly understandable, is to start to gradually increase them in your meals and maybe mix them with other “not so healthy” foods ie. putting cheese on your broccoli or honey and cinnamon on your sweet potatoes to make them more desirable, then overtime you might develop more of a taste for the veggies. A youtube channel to check out is Athlean X, he had so many good videos on nutrition. He is very knowledgeable in nutrition for performance and will guide you with wanting to put on lean muscle mass and gradually implement healthy foods. Hope this helps, eat clean and drain dirty my friend.

Nutrient dense>calorie dense. If you abide by this the calories will mostly take care of themselves. You just have to scale the portion sizes up to meet your apatite with your raised activity level due to exercise. For carbs, your main source should be fruits/veggies, can throw in some more starchy carbs like potatoes, yams, pasta, bread around your exercise sessions sense your body will be more insulin sensitive (being able to process these carbs better) especially after intense exercise. Then for protein I would try to stay with lean cuts of organic meat, and fish too. You get a good protein source and a lot of healthy fats with fish like salmon and trout. Other healthy fats coming from nuts, avacados, and other monounsaturated fats like olive oil, some peanut butter in moderation ect. Ultimately you have to find the balance of something being healthy and sustainable but also something you genuinely enjoy. So you will go through trial and error but will eventually find the foods that work for you.

As someone who doesn't have this fear, maybe I can help shed some light on why I don't. -Theres always going to be someone "smarter" than you, no matter how much intelligence you think you have -Even if someone is more knowledgable than you in a particular area, or so it seems, they still won't have the same experiences and unique body of knowledge you have as a whole. -Even the person with the highest intellect in the world lets say, they still know relatively nothing in the grand scheme of themes. The ego wants to be identified as more intelligent but admitting to not knowing is more powerful, because its acceptance of your place in the universe as large. Your value goes on way more than your intellect. Nobody wants to be with a person that just spews their intellect all the time, saying things they might not be ready to understand themselves, they want someone who is empathetic and a great listener. A strong intellect won't hurt but its not the be all end all of providing value to others, far from it. -

@BuddhaTree Thanks for the response Another Q: It says as prep for kriya pranayama, you do kechari mudra before 1) how necessary is this? I can't do it yet 2) do you keep your tongue up in the nasal cavity the whole time you are doing nasal breathing? -
You’re judging Linkin Park here with the qualities you project onto them.

You can approach exercise from a creative expression standpoint, but you have to be fairly advanced with your movement capacity to do this. For example different bodyweight flows similar to yoga, kettlebell movement flows, or drills/movement patterns you piece together to help you reach a flow state in a fun creative way. Never too late to start practicing and will reap all the other benefits of getting yourself in shape in the meantime.

@seeking_brilliance Any sources or videos you know of that go into more depth on this specifically? Or is this just a conclusion you made. Curious because I’ve been searching the web trying to find this kind of info as it pertains to marijuana. The vast majority of stuff is either stoner hedonism or strict “anti-drug” spirituality lol. -

Thanks for sharing, haven’t gotten any psychedelic experiences from them yet but can feel subtle positive benefits especially combining with meditation/kriya yoga. I prefer the ones that are focused on the actual binaural beat over the music most of the time. -

So I see the low frequencies starting at delta, then theta, then alpha, then beta, then gamma is categorized as greater than 100hz that is supposed to be ultra stimulating to the mind Then I see these beats such as 432hz, 528hz, ect that are supposed to calm you down and heal you. How are these related to alpha, gamma, ect? I assume that just because they are way over 100hz that they aren't just all gamma. If someone could explain the differences between these two different types of frequency ranges and maybe even the benefits of each I would appreciate that greatly -
No, you just havent tapped into it in your direct experience and are spreading toxic ideas confusing people on a forum instead of doing inner work. Theres no such thing as anything but yet such a thing as everything, non-duality is total nothingness and everythingness at the same time, thats the big picture here. Actuality on the contrary you are a prime example of what happens when one tries to over-intellectualize everything which clouds the ability to make spiritual growth. Which in a sense others can see what is really going on here, so carry on with your half baked ideas, and hope you find fulfillment in your life.
-
One saying that non-duality is an ideology has not actualized it in their direct experience. If you are closed off to this, you can't possibly know what you don't know. Concept awareness is not awareness itself, but its used as a tool to point to the real thing
-
No, you are not aware of what awareness is. It is the fabric that everything is constructed of, physical or not physical, at the existential level. That includes both something and nothing, welcome to to non-duality.

Has anyone here gotten samadhi through their practice? -
As a certified trainer and someone who has taken multiple nutrition classes at university my best advice is to focus less on weight, focus more on changing body composition (burn fat tissue/gain or maintain lean mass). You will look better, be healthier and stronger by dropping weight slowly over time and combine strength training with a diet focused primarily on protein, healthy fats, and strategically timed nutrient-dense sources of carbs. Learn proper progressions on body-weight strength based exercise. Lots of full body compound (multi muscle group) movements ie. squats, pressing/pulling/rotating. I would recommend getting a TRX suspension trainer, can get one for only $99 online, and set it up in your home easily. Can do so many things with it and scale the intensity to virtually any fitness level. This will have a much greater effect on burning fat/getting a lean muscle tone than machines at the gym or steady state cardio alone like running on a treadmill. Although for best results do steady state cardio on days you are recovering from a full body strength session. Feel free to ask me about anything related to getting/setting up/using the TRX if you are interested.

Lol "awareness is a lie" is just going to deeply confuse and misguide people. Awareness is just a word itself pointing to something that can't be described in words.

The physical body and consciousness do not work the same way. The physical body is just one small aspect of consciousness as a whole. If you become conscious of something, for example you have the realization that life is a dream, you can't become unconscious of it. If it was just a mere ideology, you can change your mind to adopt another one, but that means you never consciously had that realization in the first place in your direct experience. You can also suppress something you become conscious of because you aren't accepting of it but that would cause major cognitive dissonance and negative things will manifest for you. The dudes in platos cave get unchained, they see that life is more than just their shadows on the wall, they can never go back to their previous state before.
