Im not too familiar with this dopamine detox idea, but the no-brainer here is to eliminate porn. Also good ideas is to do more physically challenging things (pursuing 'natural' highs than you earn through effort) while allowing for proper sleep/recovery while minimizing stress and maximizing nourishment (trying as best you can for everything that goes in your mouth to have a high nutrient density while being low in artificial ingredients/additives/other toxins).

Preach! And something I think is important is experimenting with the French Press method so your brew can absorb more of those polyphenols and chlorogenic acid for more anti-inflammatory/cognitive boosting benefits among others. Also tastes way better than normal drip imo.

Even people on the left acknowledge China and WHO made unethical/questionable calls. Multiple countries opened investigations on the possibility of it emerging from the lab. If anyone is controlling narratives its Google/Youtube/Big Tech who are operating under the jurisdiction of WHO (basically owned by Bill Gates now) who has massive connections to China. You have Youtube CEO making outrageous claims such as "any videos against WHO recommendations are against our policy and will be taken down", when the WHO themselves were giving out misinformation which isnt even arguable at this point. Look at the damn whilsteblowers coming out that worked for google. No theories just facts. -
Personally I was aware of the cyclical nature and science of caffeine addiction, blocking adenosine, resulting in poor sleep, then numbing you to how worn you really are BUT I think there are strategic ways to avoid this such as cycling on and off, staying active, and monitoring how you feel upon waking without taking caffeine. Personally, If I have a really good nights sleep and feel refreshed, I will take caffeine anyway to help me to a workout, then nourish my body with the macro and micro nutrition it needs, stay hydrated, and I feel great the rest of the day. And definitely do not consume caffeine every day in the same amount/from the same source, and throw in off days. If I wake up feeling groggy and fatigued I know im going to prioritize regeneration/recovery for that day to make sure I get quality sleep that night and won't consume much or any caffeine at all. I haven't felt any cravings or withdrawal effects this way, and tbh, this never comes up on my radar as even an issue for me (coffee) but that is of course my own experience and others may differ.

Its because he is trapped in his own dogma and self created belief system. Look closely at how he criticizes Zen, organized religion, and cults for their traps and dogmas but frequently uses the analogy that this forum is to be likened to a church or Zen temple. If you take the tools that he himself has equipped you with, such as "going-meta" and "implicit understanding" you will see through this. Its his forum and he gets to make his own rules, nothing wrong with that. There is value in his insights, but the problem is people blindly accepting he has authority on the nature of reality because of his subjective claims on taking 5-meo and "reaching levels of consciousness hardly any human has ever had" as if he would know what any other human has ever consciously experienced, which would all be imaginary anyway according to him, so the whole "im more awake or more conscious than X" would be irrelevant. His rebuttals to this will be baseless claims such as "not only do you not understand but you can't understand given your current state of consciousness" which regardless of whether is true or not can easily be used as just a get out of jail free card. Another insight from going meta is to see the overall bitterness of his tone which reveals his true emotional state of lack of love and close-mindedness. Don't let the whole banning thing intimidate you, if you get banned for calling out BS when you see it so be it, you are better off elsewhere. -

People sometimes need motivation to clean their rooms. -
As difficult and futile as this may seem. I think the fact alone that not wanting to use their services but seemingly have no other option in many cases is concerning and encroaching on monopoly territory. An option that I have seen is before buying on amazon, go to the direct suppliers website and get it there if possible, among others.

@Jahmaine You make great points. Essentially it boils down to: What is fear-based for one may not be fear-based for another. People are different. Don't cede your authority to others who claim something is "fear-based" when you know in your heart that to you it is not based in fear but in love. -

It was very sad but damn, this was so needed right now especially when people are at home and have the free time to watch this. Can make a difference in changing the perception around so called green energy. -

Did I just watch an actualized.org video? And can we get some context on this? -
That wavy feeling and being a social lubricant with others who you might be kind of uncomfortable around otherwise does feel really good, no doubt. For me, what buffers me from drinking (I pretty much never drink, ever) is that I can acutely feel the negative after-effects from it, even if its just one or 2 drinks, and that alone makes it not worth it for me. Feeling such as lethargy/headache. Especially since drinking is an evening/night time thing, and doing it then negatively affects sleep quality. I'm a person who values the shit out of my sleep quality probably more than most people. But definitely some situations present themselves in life where I would indulge, and when it is one of those times I can feel it in my gut.

All that fear of missing out of not drinking is cultural indoctrination and an illusion. You were literally programmed to believe that through movies, TV shows, advertisements, and other people bought into that as opposed to being an original idea. Ask yourself: Are you striving to be an average person? Because thats what the average person does, drinks and parties a lot, destroys their body and shuts down their capacity for consciousness. If you have a drink here and there it isn't going to harm your body that much, but crossing the line of sub-optimal liver health or even liver dysfunction takes a lot fewer drinks than people think and are led to believe. If you have a desire to do it, then do it and learn for yourself which is ultimately the best teacher. But if you don't want to, don't let peer pressure to conform make you drink.

Observation and Critical Thinking. The doctors/scientists I see discussing dangers of EMF are usually more cutting edge/integral. Yeah, my post wasn't a double blind placebo study, its just my opinion in regards to the opinions of said doctors/scientists, who probably have some evidence backing up those claims. Or maybe they are just quacks who got their Phd's by making shit up. You don't have to look hard to find/deduce conflicts of interests if you aren't in the camp of believing everything in the world of science is just completely ethical and there are no such problems. Overall, its my opinion, and to the mainstream opinion police, give me your evidence to prove me wrong. -
TrynaBeTurquoise replied to h inandout's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Doctors and scientists that are opposed to it are usually the ones who expand their paradigm beyond just conventional science and are more integral thinkers. Usually the ones who are educated in newer fields like epigenetics. They take their stance for a reason. Just the fact there is a question around its safety should raise more red flags for people but the vast majority do not care or aren't even aware that EMF could even influence physiology. There are major conflicts of interest in those dogmatically stating it is completely safe, and its all tied into money. -
Your fight or flight/sympathetic NS seems overactive. You consume stimulants by chance?

Break down tight fascia, stretch, and strengthen at end range of motion. Proper breathing is key. Banded joint distractions are also very effective.

I don't think he is slamming fat itself but the fact there are better fat sources than butter. I don't think butter is bad (especially if you have a high metabolism) but you can upgrade the nutritional quality by replacing it with organic ghee.

I agree a few hours before bedtime will lower the body temp to prepare for a better nights sleep. And before the last meal too can improve how carbohydrates are absorbed. I just wouldn't do it right before jumping in bed, I couldn't fall asleep after shocking my system like that. Thats just me though.

I think you have some good nutrients in there. I would keep experimenting and rotating your macro sources until you get a consistent rotation of macro sources depending on what your energetic demands are that day. I would put the faster digesting things (smoothie) around your workout, before or after, and leave the slower digesting things when you aren't going to be physically active and your metabolic processes can be more available for digestion.

@Espaim Time doesn't matter, just not on a full stomach or right before sleep. When you are feeling lethargic.
