  1. @Leo Gura Oh ok, had stage red in my mind in the wrong context then, thanks for clearing that up
  2. Yeah that is a very common problem which most people who really love to think deeply face. I struggled with this myself, and I just stopped reading and researching PD for a month while I introduced a meditation habit and removing wheat from my diet. It made me realize the importance of ACTION. Of course like Leo said it is all about balance, don't remove theory from your life entirely. Just take a little break. Also +1 to what @arlin said, personally I used complex drumming exercises to satisfy my overthinking mind. Definitely try to find a hobby that you enjoy :). Good luck!
  3. Well, psychedelics to my knowledge and experience are really just a reflection of your subconscious mind so it is very possible for you to have bad trips. However, if you up the dosages slowly like @Enlightenment said you shouldn't have too many problems. Also if you let go of control when and if you have a bad trip you can actually learn a looot of stuff about yourself from it, kind of like forced shadow work. It could help you look your disorder in another light (I say this as someone with a lot of anxiety and it helped me do that.) Take all of this with a grain of salt though, I am not very experienced with psychedelics.
  4. @Truth Addict Ah I see, I will give it a go. Perfectionism is actually one of my biggest problems I've had since I was a kid and it heavily impacts my music for example. It could perhaps be creeping into understanding myself too. Didn't think of that, thanks!
  5. @Truth Addict Oh yes for sure. It has helped understand the reasons for my shyness , need for acceptance from other people, anger etc. And the realization of the fact that all emotions are beautiful has really helped my creativity when I'm writing music and lyrics.
  6. @Esoteric Haha imagine them releasing an album at 80 years old. That would be hiliarious @Jonac "Bound to this flesh This guise, this mask This dream Wake up remember We are born of one breath, one word We are all one spark, sun becoming" Pretty sure Maynard is at stage yellow, judging both from lyrics in this and other songs, as well as some of his interviews. He is the most "awake" popular musician alive imo.
  7. This is my first post on the forum so excuse me if Im breaking any rules which I hope I am not. A few days ago Tool's new album Fear Inoculum was released. I have been listening to it multiple times and it talks about some spiritual topics like the power of the breath in the song "Pneuma" (Basically talking about the power of the breath and the non-dualistic nature of reality.) Lying on my bed with my body wide open and completely relaxed, about half way through the album a lot of strong emotions and feelings that I have repressed start to come up and due to the music I am better able to accept them and experience them without any resistance. Also a lot of times I will have some outter-body-like experiences and higher states of consciousness. Has anyone else experienced something similar while not on any psychedelics , just listening to music? Thanks for reading
  8. I would say get your mind away from "doing". Resistance won't really be a problem if you surrender like @Truth Addict said.
  9. From what I can tell, dreams are just a representation of the subconscious mind. So yeah I am pretty sure they would work well for shadow work. Personally, I can't really remember my dreams all that well though, they are really fuzzy ...However, recently I had a dream about a friend I really mistreated and didn't know how much guilt I had in me about that and was repressing. It definitely helped me get in touch with that and understand my self a bit better.
  10. @TheGreekSeeker Haha hey , what part of Greece are your from? @phoenix666 The new album is a lot more crisp and "Meditative". More repeating patterns and slower buildups than the last albums. It really puts you on a spiritual journey :P.
