I had ACL replacement surgery on my knee 8 years ago. I was knocked out for about 3 hours. It was the first time in my life I was "asleep without dreaming". It was exactly like how I imagine death must be, utter peace and absolute absence. It's quite a weird experience waking up having no real sense, or a foreign sense of time having passed. One frame you're counting down trying to make the nurse laugh the next frame you wake up and she won't give you any water even though you're thirsty...............

Look online for local therapists/psychologists. Most of them will be offering video call services and phone call service as always. Some of them might even still be doing in person sessions. If those are too expensive for you look up "community counselling" there are probably some free/discounted options for you. Good luck @Zec

Which common sense tells us statistically aren't going to be extremely developed spiritually or maturity wise. It's incredibly rare to find such people anyways (or be the quality person to be able to pursue them and land them). The people he was taking about wouldn't be tempted to bother pursuing such things as "enlightenment" if their life and survival has been made so convenient to them because of their looks/attractiveness. That's obvious. Therefore as that an advanced "spiritual" person you'd know having sex and messing around is basically "toying" with them, knowing full fucking well you aren't compatible for a long term relationship, and are just wasting everyone's time indulging shallow urges. That isn't to say it's an "absolute" wrong to have casual sex with good looking people, like I'm sure people will rebut. Life is a playground and there are no rules. It's just that the way "enlightenment" is marketed and the way enlightened people carry themselves (and the image they have of themselves whether they're conscious of their maintenance of it or not) within those kinds of communities is to be mature and above such childish flesh chasing. Of course they still have sex and enjoy themselves, but it's usually much more selective and with someone on the same "level" as them let's say. They demonize egoic pleasure seeking within their teachings, saying it doesn't lead to happiness. So that's why I said it's incongruous to be "enlightened" and consider oneself spiritually developed, but simotaneously be chasing "crazy hot girls". See I actually don't personally give a shit what people do or if they're hypocrites or not. Not worried about it, I just wanted to point the inconsistency for other people that might be confused about the message being sent. So either this indicates he's lying/deluded (I don't think so, but nobody can really know anything about it), about his maturity/"enlightenment" level and rationalizes chasing what is preached about being "egoic pleasures". Or he's sending another hidden message that it doesn't really matter what you do in the end, but not being honest or explicit about this in his language. Either way we have to re-examine the marketing of what an "enlightened" person is because what he's implying takes away from the common understanding of it. Of course this could just be my flawed perception of it and obviously I think I'm right because I'm a selfish little devil who thinks that taking advantage of people is wrong, oh wait..........

Conspiracy theories can be largely dismissed because they have proven to be bullshit time and time again, and garner little meaningful public attention as a result. Let's consider for a moment that they WERE true just for the fun of it, what would people do then? Absolutely nothing, they'll just keep sitting around bitching. They are driven by hate, fear, and paranoia. Negative things that you should avoid wasting your time around, there is nothing to be gained. How absolute are we talking here? This seems like it could be a trust thing that they're worried you're insecure or think you're malicious or something. Like my girlfriend tells me pretty much everything she's going to be doing, or lets me know. But I don't expect her to tell me every single time she's going out or doing whatever. She's an adult and can take care of herself, I trust her that she'll be fine and shoot me a text later or what not.

You're subconsciously implying to yourself that the point of doing things is to reach perfection, and the alternative points are less desirable. The problem is the perfection your mind is projecting out in the world and the perfection of the way things are couldn't be more two opposite things. One is utterly selfish and the other is completely selfless and indifferent. Reflect on this truth, seriously.

For example I'm taking the 8Values quiz right now and there is question that can go both ways because it is worded too ambiguously; "The sacrifice of some civil liberties is necessary to protect us from acts of terrorism." So when it says "is necessary" you would imagine you might have to answer one way, because it's a technical truth that yes individual liberties like privacy are infringed to protect us from terrorism right now, with the current technology we have. But you could take it as a values statement as well and say, "No it's not necessary, because they need to do better and find out ways to protect us without infringing our liberties." However even THAT response could be taken as a position of a liberal OR conservative. It's these kind of questions that need to be shored up on these tests. Maybe I expect too much. Anyways ended up where I thought I would (except I feel I'm more Market economic than it says);

I managed to brute force my through it mostly and out-think it, and not have to go on any sort of medication. Still comes and goes in waves but it's definitely not as debilitating as it was when I was younger. It'll probably stay with me for the rest of my life so it's just a matter of managing it. Now I rather just feel annoyed by it, I don't really dwell on negative emotions or resent about it.
