What are you talking about the problem is getting worse not better. The internet and technology has completely destroyed the ability of most youth to socialize and form relationships normally. The age demographic of Incels is younger people, not older.
-
That can create some issues too. People settling and running on auto-pilot without striving for something more can create dysfunctional relationships, which leads to dysfunctional children because they aren't good enough parents. Thus continuing the cycle. And while there is nothing wrong with enjoying some porn once in a while, if that's the only option they have it will rot their brain and condition them to viewing women as objects. So while these are some ways to remedy the problem they are just band-aids. The issue is deep and needs surgery (like relationship courses in the education system). The idea of pick-up is a good one to get at the root of them albeit it does it in a toxic way.

The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt is pretty good. Explains essentially why everyone acts like an idiot when it comes to politics and religion, more or less.

I think it speaks to the fact that men and women are distinct enough in the relationship game that it's almost like we're two different species. Let's not kid ourselves, things are NOT equal here. If they were then this thread would never have existed. It speaks to the order of our inherent natures. Women are submissive and wait for the man to come "get" them. Like the symbiotic relationship of a rabbit (they might not admit this, but it's in their behavior) waiting to be hunted by a wolf. It's the way things "should" be for nature to be what it is. If it wasn't this way, then it would be something different. Of course you can try to break this mold as the woman or man but it's not common. Hell my girlfriend is a feminist and even she admits this! She wants to be passive and it's accepted within the social circles of all the women she's in that that is the case. I see your point though where things can be misinterpreted. The wolf eats the rabbit so if you take it in that sense it seems imbalanced. I think it shouldn't be taken literally though lol. The analogy is talking about the dance of nature.

I'm not a fan of modern Pick-Up either @Keyhole, I've got pages and pages of comments on my profile railing against it. However you've gotta understand and accept why the situation is like this. Education teaches us literally zero about relationships, the domain is completely relegated to social culture. Since the time you grew up technology has played a MASSIVE role in crippling young men in their ability to socialize; Video games have gotten way more engaging and popular, computers are more common and socially acceptable, and everyone has a phone that they're staring at all day. Boys are way more interested in that technology which hinders their social development and causes them to become hermits. While women simply aren't and would rather socialize and stay family/friend oriented, which is why we're in the situation we're in. If those boys never learn from a young age how to naturally and properly approach and deal with women, how in the world are most of them who aren't naturally gifted just going to magically be "normal"? They aren't. They will inevitably get desperate and discontent enough with their own failings that they will either become dangerous incels/misogynists OR turn to some kind of solution like Pick-Up, even if it has toxic elements. They simply don't care anymore because from their POV they have no choice - time is ticking from ridiculous social pressure not be a virgin anymore and to get married/have kids. Of course Pick-Up is going to be coming from a male-centered bias! It not like women are going to teach men how to get a women, you ladies are dealing with enough on your own. Why should it be your job anyways? Men wouldn't listen anyways, why should they? It wouldn't work because all the advice would be coming from a biased female POV. It's like Leo said with his perfect analogy; Why the hell would a wolf listen to advice from a rabbit on how to hunt rabbits LOL? You disagree with the analogy? Consider that in our modern social culture men are expected to initiate 100% of the approaches and communication. Until THAT changes and women are no longer able/choose to stop just sitting there, we ARE going to have things like Pick-Up. And yes some of it is going to be ugly but that's just the way it is. You can either quit denying reality and accept it or try to change reality. Start your own "healthy authentic approach" channel for both men and women or something.

Most investment apps or whatever bank you're with should have an option for a green/ethical mutual fund or TFSA. If you don't want to think about it too much throwing it some money every month to save it and make some interest.

Dan Bilzerian is a fraud btw, just so people know lol.

British occupation and control for nearly 100 years, buffer state conflict between them and Russian empire, then Soviet-NATO proxy wars for the last 50 years. Afghanistan never got the chance to settle and establish itself as a country.

All those poor innocent people caught up in all this mess too.... fuuuuck. It's hard to imagine where many countries in the world would be right now if not for interference from greedy empires and competing superpowers. I've watched a lot of travel vlogs on Afghanistan. There is a beautiful country with amazing people, and an incredible landscape under all this chaos and suffering, but we never get to hear about it because of our corrupt news sources. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MX1zPRsJvY

lul. You don't need to respond to statements as stupid as these. People who say this are just projecting their own resentments outwards because they aren't smart enough nor financially competent enough to save, purchase, and manage their own real estate themselves. When it comes down to it if they had the capital they would do the exact same thing and then backwards rationalize why it's ok. Their own selfishness would override any principles or attitudes they had before hand. Of course they'll never admit this. Not everyone can own a home anyways. It's simply not possible simply given supply and demand. Population had doubled from nearly 4 to 8 billion people the past 50 years and there are only so many houses that can exist in the world, it's extremely resource intensive to make any living space let alone a first world one with the quality people expect. Therefore there are only going to be so many places for people to live so the Tenant/Landlord dynamic will always be a reality. Not to mention owning a home is quite an investment and keeps you tied down to an area. Most people don't have jobs where they can get up and just leave a place, and people like to travel and live too. Of course there are scummy landlords that exist and try to extract as much rent as possible, don't maintain the building properly, ie. But that is just a case of bad apples, not a bad tree. The remedy is better rights for tenants and better regulation, not destroying the system. Whatever system that would replace the current one would be made from scratch and not near the same quality. Depends how they made it. They are probably just choosing to look at all the ugly cases and equating it to all business which is not true.

It's pretty insane that he actually did it (assuming he didn't cheat, don't think so personally). I watched the videos of him transitioning to spirituality after his DMT trip and felt it was kinda rushed and that he wouldn't pull it off. Also I'd like to point out just how fucked up and twisted it is that his stream has age-restrictions on it for simply peacefully fasting LOL?!?! I would be willing to bet large sums of money that if some ethnically Asian Buddhist decided to live stream their own fast, YouTube wouldn't have balls to apply the same kind of rules to them Shows you the confused confliction within their world view. Apparently it's too dangerous to show white people how they could venture into the spiritual domain via fasting, but everyone else can do it because it's historically apart of their culture lol? -
I agree with your entire post, except this part is a misunderstanding. I'm sure people use it too liberally and excessively, but the true meaning of the "Karen" meme is referring to videos of women (typically middle-aged white women by volume) engaging in exceptionally stupid and/or unreasonable behavior that is universally demonized as socially unacceptable.

I was a big fan and follower of most of the IDW guys for a long time. Now that I'm not really invested in that or any community (besides this one I guess) the first and most important criticism I would levy against them is to calm the fuck down and start thinking about ways they could work with "the left" so we can find out how to move forward. A lot of these guys are WAY too salty about losing some of their liberal audience over the past 10 years because of the Overton window shift, and are so obsessed with having absolute and unshakable attachment to Stage Oranges principles to the point where they don't even realize they are offering safe breeding grounds to these kind of "Neo-Libertarian" toxic whiners (Ben Shapiro type thinkers) that are so popular these days. They don't intentionally cause a lot of problems but they don't necessarily help anything either. This just gives free space for your traditional backwards Conservatives to do their work holding everything back longer than need be. The IDW needs to take some of their own medicine and be "intellectually honest" about the place the left wants to go, instead of being lazy and assuming it's a communist revolution (hyperbole lol). The Left needs to take a second to humble itself and check it's righteous behavior. Not everyone who doesn't agree with 100% of their political stances is automatically an enemy that's trying to hold society back. Like every stage of Spiral Dynamics their own self-bias. They assume everyone should conform to their ideas. However no set of principles or ideas solves every problem we face. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Unfortunately that doesn't stop people from having selfish expectations.

It can viewed as cheating if your partner perceives it that way, yes. However it's not that entirely simple, they could just be acting unreasonably jealous for something actually harmless that doesn't involved an interaction with another person. For me and my partner example; I have a higher sex drive than her. So since I'm more available for sex and I can't just force her to have it when I'm horny, I need to find another outlet. Obviously I'm not going to go have sex with other people so my only choice is to masturbate. She knows I'm using either pictures of her, or pornography of other women. We've talked about this early in the relationship and are ok with it. If I don't feel like having sex one day I have no problem with her masturbating either. It doesn't count as cheating because there is no human interaction or emotional involvement with any of the images or videos on the screen. They are simply pixels. When you say this are you talking about a live interaction with another women?????? Because yes that's obviously cheating. Jerking off to a recording of a porn star talking seductively to a general audience in front of a camera isn't cheating. They aren't specifically talking to YOU so it's not an interpersonal relationship; therefore not cheating. Also I'd like to add it could be a very mild form of cheating if you reject sex from your partner in favor of secretly masturbating instead. A healthy sexual relationship means there is complete transparency and nobody is hiding anything. You need to have this conversation with her and she needs to understand if your sexual drives don't align you need to give each other permission for solo-sex.

Let's be honest though, Donald Trump winning would really and truly fit the shitty apocalyptic year 2020 has become. Perhaps right after the election is over it would only be fitting if a 50km wide meteor slammed into the Earth, to top things off. -

One of the biggest examples I can think of is the insecurities men have about being appearing "tough" in front of other men (and women). It holds us back as a gender from becoming more mature and developed. For example as suicide rate statistics show there is an epidemic of poor mental health among many men; However if any man tries to bring up their mental health struggles among a group of other men in a social setting or even in the workplace (that isn't in a public spotlight) - they are laughed at, called a pussy, and told to tough it out. And if those blunt immature attitudes aren't on display most men will simply respond by being passive, dismissive, deliberately ignorant, and denying the problem exists. The only refuge you will find among men socially is if you bring it up in private to someone you're close to, will you be better understood or supported. The reason for this happening of course is because of an attachment to an old traditional patriarchal perspective of what it means to be a man. Men are socially encouraged by one another to desperately try to out-compete each other in the game of pea-cocking strength and stability, admitting any sort of hardship and asking for help is considering a weakness and retreat from this game (as well as an insult to the game). And it's implied without being said that men "should" not be able to emotionally support each other, because that's the woman's role. This probably comes from a place of homophobia and ignorance, the assumption that it's impossible to men to offer each other intimate emotional support without some kind of sexual intention. This is obviously childish and preposterous but hey most men are pretty stupid and insecure about themselves lol, hence why it's such a problem. I worked as a firefighter for 8 years and it astounded me just how little overall development, procedures, and resources there were regarding this issue. These kind of mental health struggles are rampant among emergency services members, yet so many of these suicides, medical leaves, and overall inefficiencies could be prevented if men would just get out of their own way and had the courage and maturity to support each other. It is getting better though as far as I've seen, and there was improvement in just the short time I was there. Anyways the irony in all this is that men would actually display the greatest amount of strength by being vulnerable in front of each other and leading their brothers out of those dark places. As @Leo Gura has talked about Fear is such a pervasive force. Men are so insecure and care what other men think sooooo damn much that it cripples us all as a gender and holds us back. If the attachment to this idea isn't toxic masculinity I don't know what is.

I don't mean for this to sound condescending or as any attack, but you do understand the difference between Communism and Socialism right? I just see people throw around the word "communist" a lot but the modern left that gets grouped together and talked about these days is not communist. At least not the majority of them, I'm sure you can find some radical communists among the general left somewhere. I don't like where it's going either but we have to make the distinction to admit it's still a democratic movement at the core, even if it's happening a little sloppily (Cancel Culture, Political Correctness, etc.). Not that you're doing this too blatantly I think you're a sharp guy, I just think it's a little intellectually dishonest to associate modern progressives with the AK-47 weilding Bolsheviks from 1917 lol. Just as most modern "alt-right/fascists" shouldn't be equated at every opportunity to the Nazis. This kind of hyperbole doesn't do anyone any good and makes discussion nearly impossible.

I'm not educated enough to really know the solution, my intuition says higher/more nuanced taxation? I feel like these inequality issues are more of the result of the money cult that our society is, so it's a mentality/cultural problem more than a resource distribution one. For example when you say; I agree in principle. However I think this Libertarian attitude is incomplete and ignorant of considering the possibility that in order to even facilitate the circumstances that lead to people all having an "equality of opportunity", we will need to spread out things and shore up the "Outcomes" prior. It's counter-intuitive which is exactly why people are hesitant to do it.

There is no such thing as absolute hate. Or hate with a capital H. While love has a greater form of absolute Love. I think that's the distinction and why Leo doesn't use the phrase "infinite hate". Hope this clears things up. -
Of course the government uses violence as the final resort! What other tool exists that will make people ultimately comply to laws? By asking nicely or assuming they'll just behave LOL? These same Libertarians criticize violence as if it's some universal malevolent force. Violence is neutral. What we call violence is just the result of the physical universe rearranging some atoms here or there. Whatever justifications you use that is can sometimes be justified and sometimes not is just a selfish perspective. They'll say it's perfectly moral and great to shoot someone in the head when they break into their house to rob them or rape their family, but when the government does it no matter what the case it can't be justified lol? I swear these people have never been outside of their house or ever seen what life is like in a third world country. Spend a week in the DRC as a Libertarian and you'd be fucking BEGGING for a proper democratic government to roll in with their tanks and monopoly of force. "Rules for thee, but not for me." Holy christ I can't believe I ever called myself a Libertarian a couple years ago. Forgive me father for I have sinned @Leo Gura

Peace and no more civil or wars in their proximity. Civilization and infrastructure is developed from peace and not having to spend your countries wealth on stupid shit like bombs.
