  1. I will leave this one here...
  2. I am not the one proselytizing on how to live a great life. Before you give great advice, you should know what great is. Stop distracting me.
  3. Ok. I will share a story from my own direct experience. This year, in January, I was traveling through India. Toward the end of my trip, I decided to volunteer for 2 days in Kalighat, which is part of the Missionaries of Charity of Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa was a Christian, and I wanted to understand more about her life. What better way to understand someone than walking in their shoes for a day? Right? Kalighat is a place unlike any on Earth. It takes in people who don't have anyone, people who even hospitals don't want to treat, people who suffer from incurable diseases, leprosy. What I saw there was terrible. There were people there with feet and hands rotting from the inside, people with all kinds of skin cancer, amputees. I mean, things you can't even imagine. I helped them go to the bathroom, I fed them, and helped them get dressed. Another volunteer told me that the previous day he witnessed someone's arm get amputated by a saw. I wish I could describe what I saw there, but I can't. You can only experience it. I mean, I am a strong guy, but most of the time when I saw these people, I thought that if I were in their position, I would rather cross to the other side and die. Their situation was so unbearable that it was a miracle that they could go on with this kind of suffering. It was so terrible that I couldn't go to Kalighat on the second day. I just couldn't. And then, I tried to imagine the life of Mother Teresa. She spent more than 50 years caring for these old and dying people. This little old lady consciously dedicated her life to helping those who can't help themselves. This little old lady did this for more than 50 years, and I could barely do it for a single day. Then I went to see the place where she lived. I saw her room and it was not bigger than a jail cell. It had one old bed, a wooden table, and a wooden chair. I mean, it was more modest than modest. She died in this room in 1997. This little old woman is a Christian. She is a saint. Near the small room where she used to live, now lies her grave. On that grave, there is a single quote. It says: "Love one another as I have loved you". (St. John 15:12) @Vynce Hope that gave you some insights into a Christian mind.
  4. They all sound like distractions to me.
  5. Can you name some great things in life?
  6. There goes the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. I guess we will have to wait for the third one now. @Leo Gura Do we have to put them on the cross every time they cross the line?
  7. I think its a bit disparaging to the rats.
  8. This song has everything. What was the ending vocal? The ending was the best part.
  9. “If you want to know who rules over you, just look for who you are not allowed to criticize.” ― Voltaire
  10. The current valuation of Tesla is 740 billion dollars. Do you think it should be worth more or less?
  11. Do not follow the cobra snake too closely. It will bite you in the ass.
  12. I think you are onto something here. It's time to drop teachers and teachings and create your path. As long as you look up to something or someone, you are not at your highest peak. You have to keep climbing alone. Or not.
  13. You guys are being too critical. Let the man cook.
  14. You are a great egg but don't sugarcoat it.
  15. There is no greater proof than a guy who has done Sunday sermons on YouTube for 10 years. The existence of the sermons is proof enough.
  16. There is always that @NewKidOnTheBlock who becomes the new role model.
  17. You can't be spiritual and Trump supporter. It is antithetical. Pick one. Just don't pick Trump.
  18. Finally some sense of humor. Have you started practicing your whistles yet? Here is something to get you started:
  19. The only thing you can know for sure is that you exist. Try to use this to ground yourself. Did you have any trauma in your childhood? Depersonalization together with OCD and eating disorders is not a good combination. Try to find professional help if you can.
  20. It seems that you are stuck in a seeking mode (seeking love, approval, understanding...) while you should transition to a living mode. The seeking purpose you have created for yourself can never end, so it will never provide you with satisfaction from the end-of-seeking. You are inhabiting Earth with other human chimps. Try to be more like the other chimps. Roll in the grass, climb trees, have kids. Joy comes from the experience of these little moments.
