They lobbied governments and media intensely so the older Gen grew up during a time where Israel’s crimes were hidden and it was portrayed as morally righteous and the victim. In the past you would get blacklisted for criticizing them. Now that changed thanks to alt-media as well as Israel becoming less appealing to liberal westerners as it became more right wing so the younger generation turns against them.

Reports are that Hamas is saying they’re willing to give up governing control. Historically terrorist groups most likely disarm when they can become political parties, so israel could try treating Palestinians as equal humans.

Telling people who are relatively well off and already have citizenship and regularly visit wealthy western countries and have family there already to move would clearly be practically easier than forcing poor middle eastern countries to facilitate the ethnic cleansing of millions of injured and traumatized refugees. Does that mean it should be done? No, obviously. The AI shows the issue of bias. The human rights of Palestinians aren’t respected by the world and what is unthinkable to do to certain classes of people is ok to talk about doing to them, because they’ve been dehumanized to that point.

The whole argument Israelis make about Hamas and how they can’t be negotiated with is that they want Jews kicked out of the land and for that you call them genocidal and psychopathic. Yet when 80% of Israelis want Gazans ethnically cleansed and you excuse it.because of “all that happened”. Palestinians have experienced far more brutality than Israelis, yet you don’t excuse any of them that hold extreme or antisemitic beliefs. The fact of the matter is Hamas is more reasonable than the Israeli government. Hamas said in their new charter and said repeatedly they’d have a long term ceasefire in exchange for a state. The ruling Israel party likud’s charter on the other hand says they reject that and want israel control over the river to the sea. International law is in line with Palestinians having a state, not with Israelis keeping 2 million Gazans in an open air prison and keeping 3 million under West Bank apartheid where even your own government officials admit settlers are regularly committing pogroms and terror attacks on as well as seizing their land.
