This is a disaster for democrats. 170 million Americans, mostly anti-trump or non-political, just got a message saying Trump brought their favorite app back.

ISIS and Hamas are both religious extremist groups but that’s where the similarities end. Isis carried out attacks across the world, Hamas hasn’t attacked anyone outside of historic Palestine. Isis conducted a genocide, Hamas didn’t. There is much more record of mass atrocities from Isis than Hamas. The examples of Hamas sadism are about as bad as examples of IDF sadism.

That’s actually arguably a bigger issue for Israelis right now. The constant attacks from Arabs forced social cohesion, but it’s not working anymore. If the ceasefire actually sustains it’s looking like their society will internally snap.

Its like how in the US people voted out Trump but after inflation rose under Biden they voted Trump back in because many figured he may have been better all along. The population was moving more secular but after a massive defeat and stagnant economic growth more of them decided the radicals may have been right after all. Actually the same thing happened among Palestinians. They were one of the most secular groups in the Middle East. For decades their main armed resistance was a secular nationalist movement. When that failed more of them thought to give religious radicals like Hamas a chance.

The Middle East isn’t of critical importance, the US benefits from a quiet Middle East so it can focus its resources in Asia. Israel keeps bogging it down. Just getting donations doesn’t mean they are pushing their agenda. We have plenty of examples of professors and students being fired and expelled for criticizing Israel, not the other way around.
