No it isn’t, the only thing stopping things from moving in a positive development right now is Israel and the Us blocking a ceasefire and blocking UN recognition of Palestine. Every other country in the world is asking for this, they aren’t all shills for Muslims, they understand endless occupation and war will lead to endless violence.

what?

During the Islamic golden age Arab nations were more developed than Europe

You are naive if you think he actually wants to expand his understanding for good faith discussion. His entire brand is built on gotchas and motivated reasoning. He hasn’t even developed a mainstream philosophical or moral frame work for discussion, he just adopts what is most useful to whatever he is arguing. This is why he struggles against solid stage blue Andrew Wilson.

War itself develops countries. Our modern understanding and health care and education was developed from conquest and war.
-
But when they develop in response to the onslaught by forming a more war like culture and gaining modern weapons like explosives and machine guns to fight back, suddenly the west turns around and uses that as proof they are still undeveloped because they are being violent. They cannot win in this world view. Palestinians were pastoral people without an army before the Zionists arrived, they defeated the surrounding Arab countries because their militaries were so small and low tech. Then when they stated developing and becoming more effective and brutal in reaction to the competition Israel and the west turn around and shriek they are dangerous savages and they need to be bombed even more. It’s insane.
-
If someone stronger than you beats you up, are you to blame for your injuries because you weren’t strong enough to fight back?

That’s just silly Let’s take Afghanistan. In just the past century Russia invaded Afghanistan killing 2 million, the US funneled weapons to extremists to fight them and when they pulled out it resulted in a civil war killing hundreds of thousands, then some of those fighters armed with weapons and ideology majorly funded by the US formed the taliban and took over and the US slapped sanctions on them crushing the economy, then the US invaded in response to 9/11 killing hundreds of thousands more before finally pulling out leaving the taliban in power and slapping them with even more sanctions. No one is saying they would have had no problems without western involvement, but to suggest all of that just amounted to a small portion of the cause of their current issues is insane. Iraq is arguably a even bigger example, it had a brutal dictator (who the US propped up for a while) but actually had low crime and a good education system people traveled to study at, then the US turned it into a nightmare. There are middle eastern or Muslim countries that had less western intervention and they are doing a lot better.

I found this list pretty meh to be honest. He even included sex at dawn which was fully debunked. I emailed him some suggestions.

Both the PLO and Hamas said they accept a Palestinian state on the 67 borders, Israel would still exist. the occupation is the blockade of Gaza and the apartheid and settlers in the West Bank.
-
The PLO controls the West Bank, not Gaza, they aren’t firing on Israel. They aren’t even defending themselves from settlers who have killed over 500 since oct 7 even though they didn’t do anything in the West Bank. Egypt hasn’t since the peace deal either. Hamas fires rockets because Israel keeps Gaza blockaded and in response to various slights such as when Israel assassinated some Hamas soldiers during a ceasefire, or when Israelis raided Al aqsa mosque.
-
But israel also killed them when they did peaceful protests, so of course they’ll resort to violence
-
Hamas offered to throw down their arms if Palestinians were given a state.
-
Why are you convinced they innately want to kill Jews rather than just doing it as resistance to occupation? The PLO used to attack Israel just like Hamas, but they gave up armed resistance years ago. Egypt invaded Israel many times but hasn’t in decades. The average Hamas member was born in an area Israel blockaded them inside with 40% unemployment and probably lost one or more family member to Israeli bombing or sniping, when they try to attack Israel to just say “I guess they innately hate Jews no matter what” makes no sense. Clearly if these motivating factors weren’t there, there would be less motivation to attack Israel. And those aren’t even all Palestinians, most did not join Hamas despite everything. Palestinians used to be the most secular group of Muslims in the Middle East, prior to the first intifada the population was extremely passive and just accepted constant abuse from Israel. Prior to the formation of Israel Palestinians had lived with Jews in peace for centuries, things only went haywire when zionists started taking over and pushing them out.

Their actions haven’t been genocidal, you just assume they would do it if they could, but regardless so far they haven’t done such. Oct 7 was a brutal raid, but that’s not genocide. Hamas has taken action towards peace negotiations before and during this conflict, I don’t see why we shouldn’t trust that any less than wild statements. Its possible to trust, but verify. Work towards peace and diplomacy, while also keeping security tight. Israel has been doing the opposite, sabotage diplomacy and be lax on security.
-
In that same full statement he claimed they aren’t targeting civilians, should we all assume that’s true too?
-
That entire time he was also insisting Hamas is all genocidal and can never be negotiated with. But his actions simply isn’t the behavior of someone who thinks Hamas is some satanic force. Even people who don’t think Hamas is completely genocidal wouldn’t support what he did. Why should we suddenly believe him now when he says hamas can’t be negotiated with, they’re entirely genocidal?
-
-
So why prior to Oct 7 did Netanyahu transfer funds to Hamas, move IDF guarding Gaza to the West Bank, and ignore warnings about a possible Hamas operation? His actions conflict with his beliefs if this is what he really thinks. The thing is, what your saying is true for anything, if Israel could make all Palestinians disappear with 0 worldwide push back they would as it would solve all problems they have. The finance minister just said publicly he thinks they’d be morally right to let all of Gaza starve to death but they can’t because of worldwide pressure. Israel is currently mass killing Palestinians, so obviously many of them, not just Hamas would choose to end all Israelis if they could. If country was killing your family and kept you locked in a prison and you had the power somehow to make them all cease to exist, would you not consider doing it? it’s a moot point, you could say this about any two sides in a major conflict. That doesn’t mean you should refuse to take deals and do diplomacy because you assume they would kill you all if they could. If we agree with the demonization of Hamas, it allows Israel to continue the strategy of encouraging extremism to avoid entertaining a peaceful solution.

This study finds this https://www.degruyter.com/document/doi/10.1515/for-2021-0011/html?lang=en Analysis of RFK finds that he was taking roughly equal from Biden and Trump, but slightly leaning to taking more from Trump https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/rfk-jr-candidacy-hurts-trump-biden-nbc-news-poll-finds-rcna148536 but now that Biden dropped out that will likely change as many of his voters who lean left will switch to Kamala who is more popular That’s not stooping to any level, that is smart politics. Democrats need to realize that rather than just whining about people spoiling the election for them. Democrats ruined Ralph Nader’s reputation by insisting he spoiled the election for them but never mention that Ralph offered to drop out and endorse the democratic candidate if they adopted just one of his proposals. ”spoilers” aren’t a real thing, legally other people are allowed to vote third party if they want to, the founders never intended for two parties to hog all the attention. If republicans or democrats don’t like it they can implement rank choice voting, but they won’t because they want voters to be forced to vote for one of them so certain issues the major donors to both parties don’t want addressed won’t be.
