  1. monkey realizes, he never really was a monkey, he simply imagined himself that way
  2. Over the past years I have been experimenting with different ways of shifting from wakefulness to sleep at night, and I realized this weird way I can fall asleep very quickly that works very reliably for me. What you do is start using your imagination to imagine up objects, people, situations, or what Leo might call "figments" one by one. The trick is to try to imagine things/figments that are very "far away" from each other, in the sense that they aren't logically or in any way attached to each other. So we are aiming for randomness here. So for example "cow" then "milk" then "sun" then "warm" then "baseball" then "fast" are in a sense attached to each other. So these would not be good for this exercise. Instead you could imagine first "brick" then "toothpick" then "an indian man sitting in a car" then "a stamp" then "baguette" etc. keep it going in this way, and only continue if the thing/figment you imagined up is not logically tied to the previous word. Just keep going quite quickly, and watch in awe what consciousness can imagine up. What is essentially being done here is simulating the sleeping/dreaming state of a more free flowing consciousness before actually being in it, and in this way making the transition to it faster.
  3. Isn't everything you see as imaginary, really being imagined? Including ideas about any "limited perpective"? I mean, you can't really "fake" imagining something. If you imagined it, then you really did imagine it, and that imagination becomes real in the sense that it actually was imagined in reality. So, maybe there just is no distinction. And maybe it's very natural to see it that way. Maybe your question is a sign you are intuiting the absurdity of such a distinction actually existing, somehow splitting apart Reality into separate pieces.
  4. Very important point. Perhaps Elon is using this Twitter purchase as a way to get leverage and negotiating power among the most influential and powerful in society. This is just a small part of his larger strategy of achieving his ultimate goals, whatever they actually are.
  5. Because deep down we know that is what we are. We are not separate from nature, we are nature. It lessens the burden of feeling like a separate self as you feel yourself as part of something much bigger.
  6. How do you distinguish real from unreal?
  7. Thought is just a process, like a tree blowing in the wind. So in that sense there is no thinker, just like there is no "winder". Thoughts appear yes, but why give them any special status over any other process or appearance that appears in reality? So, Reality thinks, the All thinks. Just like Reality shoots lava out of volcanoes, wipes an ass, or shoots up heroin. These are all process in the All and none of them have special status over another. None of them have a "doer" behind them making them happen, since that would require something more than one. And all there is, is oneness, or the All.

  9. Credits for this question go to Daniel Schmachtenberger. Please answer the following question as honestly and openly as you feel comfortable doing: If someone really understood your essence, how would they describe you? (Edit: I mean at the relative level, it's meant as a question to help see each other's deeper feelings about themselves to be better able to connect)
  10. I should have provided better context. Yes, it's meant more so at a relative human level, as a simple question to try to get to know and connect with someone better. Although I totally get why you actualizer fuckers would take it as an opportunity to inquire into the deepest, and I love you for that! Beautiful answers already, they really are opening up to me who the unique person is behind the username! ❤️
  11. I don't think it is, but just to be sure I'm not somehow fooling myself, I diversify my focus to a wide variety of sources, never putting one of them above others on a pedestal. If I were in a cult, I would put a higher authority on one source over others. To avoid this I don't give much authority to any one source, and I especially don't put actualized or Leo above others in terms of authority. Only use these sources as pointers to discover things for yourself, not to be devoted to any one source. That's how you get the most benefit anyway. So, just avoid 1. beliefs and 2. giving over your authority to others, and this way you can steer clear from almost any cults or cult-like dynamics in life.
  12. I also commonly didn't understand much of Nahm's posts, but I did thoroughly enjoy having him here just for the sake of diversity. Never bothered me that he was pointing to different stuff than Leo. Well, it is what it is. It's a bit disappointing, but a good reminder that honestly we are mere visitors on Leo's forum. And while that might sound limiting to us, that's probably what has kept this forum alive and kicking as long as it has. But yeah, I'm no doubt very glad to visit while this lasts, many of us will surely look back decades from now with a strong nostalgia for this place. So let's all enjoy the ride while it lasts ?
  13. I hear there are many foreigners in Thailand as monks in monasteries. Maybe something worth looking into
  14. (a fictional story below) So, the other night I had this really scary, terrifying dream. I was experiencing profound terror and pain at the loss of all my loved ones, as they were being tortured to death one by one in front of my eyes. I was in absolute fury at who ever allowed such things to happen. In a fury, I went searching for the one responsible for all this. I was determined to find them. I searched through every inch of the dream. I looked at the dream from every possible angle. I contemplated for seemingly thousands of hours. I went to all the great masters, the great teachers who knew how to explain these things. I did all possible things to try and understand why such evil and such suffering could exist. Some things I discovered were easing the pain a bit, but I never found a satisfying answer. It still did not make any sense. But then, in a moment that was not in time. I became aware I was dreaming! Of course! I realized that all that ever seemed to happen, happened in one dream. There was no one responsible, because no one was in control of the dream. In fact, there was no separate person there at all at any point, only one, all pervading substance or being that was imagining separate individuals. The dream was totally, utterly imaginary. The dream was just my imagination. So nothing had even happened. Nobody was hurt! At that moment I burst into ecstatic laughter, as I looked at the deepest suffering. What a joke!
  15. Here's a fun experiment. Sit around, listen to this audiobook while seriously looking at your direct experience. Don't think of it as just another dude speaking, pretend it's your own Infinite Awareness speaking or something along those lines. God bless.

  17. Definition: "World peace is an ideal of freedom, peace, and happiness among and within all nations and/or people. World peace is an idea of planetary non-violence by which nations willingly cooperate, either voluntarily or by virtue of a system of governance that prevents warfare. The term is sometimes used to refer to a cessation of all hostility amongst all humanity." Additional question: If you think world peace is possible, what practically needs to happen for it to become a reality? In other words, how will world peace be actualized?
  18. Who needs another Rupert Spira or Mooji? They are beautiful teachers as they are, we don't need more of the same style. Diversity baby!
  19. Please don't pressure or persuade anyone into taking psychedelics. Imagine if your brother has a trainwreck trip and psychosis, and it was because you persuaded or pressured him to do something he didn't feel a calling for. The furthest I would go is talking about your own experience, then if they get interested and want to try, cool. Then it is out of their own curiosity and desire to explore that area.
  20. @Muhammad Jawad every human respects honesty and truth deep down. If he gets heartbroken because of your honest feelings and expression of them, it is his job to communicate that to you and then maybe you can have a much healthier relationship built on solid respect. Maybe he is being disrespectful towards you because he senses you are not being truly honest with him and how you feel about him, and that's his way of trying to trigger you to open up so a relationship built on more honesty and respect can be built. Another persons feelings are never your responsibility, it is their responsibility to communicate to you if they wish you would do something differently. And you do it if you really want to do that, not because you feel forced to. Otherwise we are merely slaves to our own constructions.
  21. Yes, it's not flawless by any means, but generally I think the video provides a nice overview (CaspianReport). There will always be people who feel the analysis is not balanced. Especially in cases where there is some clear personal involvement with one of the actors that is being analyzed. Looking at geopolitical situations like this requires taking a certain type of birds-eye view, which is very difficult to do, when our home countries are involved. For me also in this case that you're talking about, since I am from Finland. We should acknowledge that it's especially difficult for us to take the Russian perspective on all this. What matters is not if Russia is somehow objectively being threatened, but whether or not Russia as an entity and the people in power in Russia feel they are being cornered or pressured in some way. Very minor shifts in power can be detrimental in games of geopolitics. We should also be aware that while the media in our countries is not straight out propaganda by any means, it is still biased in subtle ways and feeds into narratives that the population wants to hear, such as a simplistic dichotomy of West=good guys, Russia=bad guys, or victim narratoves about the West (which may or may not be true). It's clear that NATO is also wanting to survive and spread, and it seems Russia feels threatened by that, Russia interprets that countries are being subtly pushed to join NATO. And that NATO is not simply a defence alliance, but also has been getting involved in other countries wars. Which is clearly the case in many ways. It would also be an underestimation to think that Russia wouldn't be aware that provocations like this will increase Nato support in Sweden and Finland. The game being played in these situations is very complex, so I don't think we can simply state that joining Nato is the obviously best choice based on some collection of facts, there might be a lot of things in play, for example information that intelligence agencies might hold that isn't public that is affecting the policies regarding that. Notice I'm not saying joining NATO would be bad, just trying to point out some complexities regarding this situation. Some different perspectives to consider that might not come intuitively to people like us living next to Russia.
  22. @itachi uchiha r/geopolitics seems quite solid. Definitely those discussions are on a whole other level of nuance and holism than typical political discussion we see in social media.
  23. I see what you're saying. Even though there is some of that utopian idealism, I think overall it's a breath of fresh air, a break from all the intellectualizing around these ideas, which might not be very accessible or interesting to most people. Expressing these ideas through art is a positive direction, a more right-brain approach to make the whole thing more balanced out. Overall, for a shift to happen, the messaging should be a bit idealistic to get people's energies up, and get them to work towards that new vision. Get people excited for something new, some new possibilities and ways of operating in the world. That is how pretty much all major peaceful shifts in culture have taken place. There's a vision that is simply more powerful than the old paradigm, and then it starts becoming a reality as it gains more and more momentum in peoples minds. The vision needs to be so powerful that it sparks a fire in all the worn out people to take action and try their best to figure these things out. But yeah it's also important to balance it out so it doesn't slip into dysfunctional and immature utopia expectations. Here is some analysis with more depth about the message of the film:
