And then it reconstructs itself since that what we do as humans, but then you at least know. The bolded part above reminds me of what you were saying on your last retreat. knowing that you would "die" permanently and leave this realm forever. only, you can leave the realm but come right back. It is sorta like: "yo, im just constructing myself, reality, consciousness itself, perception, feeling, body, etc..." coming back to the ego/life/constructed reality with a different understanding Lmk your thots if you have time. @Leo Gura how is this different than trauma bonding? addiction to stress and abusive childhood, leading us to try to recreate the same shitty dynamics in real life, instead of pursuing peace?

I graduated university a few months ago and have been "trying" to figure out what to do next with my life. I have a few ideas career wise but there's this sense in my experience that nothing is going to work out, just as it has not in the past and will very likely continue to be the same story.

You got this man. Just detach from that energy like you do with thoughts in meditation. Keep your eye on the prize!!! Your future. If you allow them and YOURSELF to fall into that grimy territory that is all at risk. You will be just like them. But you have the choice to not be. As hard as it may be at first. Realize this: this low consciousness, toxic behavior is characteristic of a child. It's as if your family grew but stayed the same age mentally. Don't hate them for it but realize these people literally don't have the capacity to engage and deal with life (since they're really children after all). They dont have the robust nervous system that is required to engage with life properly. It's quite sad, but you should not expect so much out of a child, adult life for a child is INCREDIBLY stressful. try to be understanding but dont get yourseelf dirty. You come first!!! The mere fact that youre on this forum seeking for solutions sets u apart from everyone else. The moment you start pointing fingers is when you gotta be careful. Am 24 and just addressing these now really since I was in school. - I was planning to travel but seems much less feasible atm due to Covid - Life purpose aspect for me is to become damn good at meditation and help others with this. Still unsure how I want to approach this. - Financials is actually my priority right now and am working constantly towards this each day atm... Generally speaking, it's best to pursue 2 major things at a time but prioritize one of those two even for a certain amount of time. Until the progress and boundaries really get pushed. More than 2 is too much and you wont get nothing done.

set a goal and intention for the retreat no phone increase practice leading up to retreat so you have more stamina and so the retreat is MORE productive... instead of falling into a groove until after a couple days.

Been feeling something like this for a while. Coming back off a mini meditation retreat I came back with perhaps even less preference for sex. I was invited by friends to a strip club and happily went but ended up reading meditation books instead while giving the strippers some money intermittently just to be nice since it was a little slow.
