  1. It might be part projection and you trying to be right. I've caught myself there many times. One tip is that you have to speak their "language" ie: speak louder than them and over them, interject, show that you're not going to back down in what you believe in--aka similar to how they are. Just don't actually become that person lol. I'd advise to just acknowledge that Boomers grew up in a time with no internet or having information at your fingertips. The things they believed were passed on from others and so on. Similar to us but we can look up shit online to debunk whatever we feel might be bullshit. Though it's a double-edged sword because we now have echo chambers which do far more damage. They had to live more in the "now" since mostly everything had to be done face to face or on the phone. However, don't be too critical of Boomers, you might find yourself to be a Boomer one day as the years keep passing by. You think you will agree with young people forever but things happen and life challenges change you and give you a different perspective to what you have now.
  2. It seems to me that your addiction to weed isn't enough, so you're looking at other drugs to give you that "aha!" moment of clarity or wonder about your life/the world that weed gave you the first few times. That most likely will never happen again, so you can't escape your reality through "personal growth" until you tackle your weed addiction. Sadly, there's no cure to your weed addiction other than quitting cold turkey for YEARS. Ask me how I know. It was brutal at first but I went 4+ years cold turkey without touching it. I eventually came back to consciously (and spontaneously at the moment) kind of like going, "OK, this isn't my first rodeo but I want to see what the hell was the big deal again". I regained my control of that stuff and now I can enjoy it recreationally with friends once in a while or if I have an obstacle I need to overcome and I need a different point of view than my own. But I no longer have the need or want to look for more through drugs/weed or smoke daily. It's a tough pill to swallow but looking back at it I'm so glad I regrounded myself and recalibrated my base state of just existing soberly. Now I can appreciate the difference in the opposite way than before. Are you smoking daily?
  3. Not enough healthy, balanced love from mommy and daddy.
  4. I can tell he's full of shit by just looking at his face in that thumbnail.
  5. So, I've always had a thing against TikTok so I'm biased because I thought Vine was better and had shorter videos (6 seconds) with no ads. I never have made a TikTok account but I have seen clips from there before. Virtually most of my friends have or watch TikTok videos all day. ALL DAY. In group chats, like 90% of links posted are to a TikTok--I don't even open them. That shit is rotting their already rotting brain. I can't talk shit though, since I do use the internet too with stuff like youtube but still. Oh and these are fucking grown adults (30+) I'm talking about. I can't even imagine the youth.
  6. No way.... while people are freezing to death and hungry in Texas? That’s just heinous. Texas is stupid enough to elect these idiots again though.
  7. Usually going against the grain of society will get you weird looks but it's a crab in a barrel mentality these days so if you can break through caring what other's think--you're on a good path of inward happiness. I've got childhood friends who married relatively youngish and or have kids, and now when we hang out they look about 15 years older than me and are mentally drained. Always on edge, always negative, always defensive, always complaining. Reminds me of a form of PTSD. Not to mention, cheating has been a rampant, taboo problem these days with the internet. Nobody is loyal--some have coped by just becoming an "open relationship" where the woman gets tons of dick and the man is left jerking off, but he won't tell his friends that. lmao. OP, have you seen the video of Leo in that long nosed mask on youtube? He precisely touches on this a bit but in a more conscious way:
  8. I've been telling people we need an Internet 2
  9. Of course, absolutely. I knew you would mention the Other Side and if the same would apply to them. I thought about including that in my original post but I wanted you to see my reply as starkly as possible, so it would resonate more with you than to get into another argument, if that makes any sense. You don’t have to quit the internet entirely but be very aware that there is this little empty internet voodoo doll of you that exists, that only wants to see certain content you keep engaging with over and over again. Break free man!
  10. Get the fuck offline dude. For like a year. This type of thinking you're elaborating on is basically the internet algorithms pushing this bullshit onto all of your feeds, causing you to engage even more and read even more = $$$ in the pockets from advertisements and screen time. While this is happening in the background, you're just poisoning your mind slowly. Even if you think "I don't agree with blah blah blah, I'm just saying that blah blah blah, I can think for myself!!" isn't entirely true--these ideas are still permeating in your mind by just reading them or commenting on them! It's incredibly insidious. You say you dislike Jordan Peterson or whatever, but that's just your mind trying to justify and rationalize your whiny baby-like current form. This is exactly where those Qanon, Proud Boys, Alt-right losers that ended up at the Capitol insurrection came from. You're just self aware enough to realize like holy shit I am a triggered little bitch about this but I don't want to be this way! This is a good sign. Consider that a blessing because you could've been the idiot that got shot at the Capitol insurrection or worse. Clean your internet life up and delete social media or do a giant purge of some sorts. The typical excuse of "but I keep in contact with friends and family on there" isn't good enough. I recommend getting away from these echo chambers and forgetting about all of these concepts like "redpill", "jordan peterson" "alt-right", etc. You're in a bad spot but you're aware of it. Make the first steps happen!
  11. I actually do both. Sometimes I realize that I've been doing closed eyes meditation for a while so I switch to open eyes. Open eyes seems easier for me because I never get that "sleepy" feeling with closed eyes, or my mind doesn't go into thoughts as easily because I am presented with reality right in front of my face and have to observe it. Both have their pros and cons but I feel like open eye meditation is the one that is a little bit more advanced.
  12. In a funny way, I think you enjoying what you like (in this example, trans women) is the most "straight" thing a man can do if that makes any sense--which is basically the entire societal premise of what it means to be a man and what most men fear most is not being a real man.
  13. Wow the Trump MAGA cult really imploded on itself right at the end of his presidency. It’s pretty astounding. Society is really giving MAGA & Trump the ban hammer like if it were an online forum—but it’s in real life. And it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Has there ever been a public ostracization of this magnitude in American society before? Not counting the darker days of prejudice/racism/slavery/etc.
  14. Man.... the infinite God sure has a sense of humor alright.. remember the first thing Trump did when he was elected, was the Muslim travel ban? And now the last thing he accomplished was the complete opposite to his very own supporters. Lmao.
  15. LMAO at thinking that making your own hardware, software, OS and app store, PLUS needing advanced security tech built into a secure enclave on the phone itself, is as easy as asking Elon Musk and having some nerd looking guy coding on a computer to get it done. Or a team of "ex-Apple" or "ex-Google" employees doing hard work and having it done. Not to mention, doing all of this for a group of unhinged too-far gone people, that won't take accountability and have been brainwashed by extremely biased content they've been fed online for years, maybe a decade. Samsung for example, is an Apple competitor and they haven't made their own OS. Everyone wants Samsung to make their own OS to compete with Android and iOS but they can't. The over-head they need is gargantuan. Even Huawei which is backed by the CCP government, is having a challenging time designing their own OS and Apps and Appstore and have it streamlined and accepted by the entire world after Google dumped Huawei from using their platform and Google Play app store worldwide.
  16. That was chilling to watch. I’m a little worried about Inauguration Day. Hopefully since this entire disaster happened, their security will be Fort Knox for Inauguration Day.
  17. I wonder what Rogan would do if Trump wants to be on his podcast. He’s got a huge similar-ish thinking fan base. Joe Rogan has been awfully kind to conservatives/MAGA, even when on Spotify.
  18. As a person who grew up on unregulated forums/message boards of the early 2000s with an insane amount of trolling and different types of humor: I've also realized a lot of people (for example, "Normies") have never had or used the internet in a forum-style in their entire lives. They never had that line drawn between reality and virtual, that distinction never existed when they first logged onto Facebook. When the smartphone became mainstream, a lot of people went head first into these things, compiled with the algorithms looking for more money from ads = exactly what we're seeing these days. Back when I was on forums, most knew what forums were and what was trolling and what was bullshit and irony. Flamewars used to be a term reserved for absolutely shitting on random people online on forums but now flamewars have turned into reality. Pretty crazy IMO.
  19. You’re triggered and projecting at me! I hope you can calm down and open your chakras. Do some meditation and reflect, my dude.
  20. Protesting for the undeserved deaths of black men at the hands of the police vs having a meltdown due to losing an election are two completely different things, dumbass.
  21. Logging in to say holy shit this is insane lol. I can't wait to see in a few years when they investigate this past decade and see how much the internet had to do with all of this. I've always suspected it's propane tank to a fire but small documentaries are already starting to talk about it (The Social Dilemma for example). Algorithms baby.
