@Ilan As impressive as Goggins is, its extremely likely that the dude is driven by a lot of unresolved trauma. -
Hi guys. Anyone out there had any success regarding overcoming C-PTSD? If so, what worked for you? Also, what advice would you give previous self that was enduring more severe C-PTSD? Thank you.

Any advice on how to overcome emotional numbness? I've tried so many therapies. I feel so frustrated. I'll keep on trying, but it gets hard sometimes.

@RickyFitts Thank you. That's encouraging to hear. I've had the same recent experience with breath meditation. I felt a sense of relaxation come over me. However, I was worried it might not help me release. It sounds like that worry may have been unfounded. I think I'll continue with it ;). Also, in terms of, 'There does need to be a willingness to allow the arising of whatever had been previously repressed, and that can feel very uncomfortable and painful at times' how do you will yourself to allow that? Is it just a simple matter of making a conscious choice in the moment?

@King Merk Thank you. I don't love anyone. Or, at least I can't feel that love for anyone. But, maybe your saying to say it in spite of that? I used to say it when people said it to me to appease, but I felt the same. Sometimes a sense of disgust came up too.

@Emerald Thank you. Any techniques you'd recommend? I am currently doing PMR (progressive muscle relaxation), QiGong, and TRE. Am just starting out in those though. What are your thoughts on those?

Yo team! I have an issue. I've been going through the life purpose course on and off for a series of years now. My major issue is regarding the value assessment exercises. I have C-PTSD so I find it really, really difficult to actually locate my intuition. Using my intuition is key to doing the value assessments. Any tips?

Please post anything that helps you relax. (i.e. Quigong) And also, please, feel free to elaborate on the benefits you've had!

@2neurotic4u Hey, thank you for your post. I didn't read it in full, but I wanted to voice the following general comments. I'm going to be honest with you. If you had done what you have already done, and didn't have ADHD, it is likely you'd have experienced exceptional results. (Seems you agree with me on this). My opinion, regarding many matters, is don't listen, or take advice from anyone who doesn't have ADHD, or isn't well researched in it. The standard reply to your message will be: 1) I don't have ADHD, but I struggle too! 2) I don't have ADHD, but this is what helped me. 3) Some BS ungrounded spiritual nonsense. I understand they are well meaning, but I hate those sorts of replies. Consequently, I ignore them. Leo Gura hasn't published much, to my knowledge, related to ADHD. Is this frustrating? Yes. Is it understandable? Yes. The man can only do so much. However, the result is that the forum is often full of misinformation for ADHD sufferers, and I've seen comments by Gura and the moderators regarding ADHD that I seriously disagreed with.

To my mind, there is a degree to which it would be prudent for you, Leo, to focus awareness on the systemic nature of Actualized.org. One can hold the position that the actions of the consumer, of content such as Actualized.org, are the consumer's responsibility (although, this could be deconstructed). However, let us say for that moment that the responsibility lies with the consumer. If this is so, it does not negate the cause-effect relationship that your content has on the actions of the consumer's of your content. If the responsibility is on the consumer, it may not be the responsibility of yourself (Leo), or the moderators of this forum, to have mental health training, but if said training is provided then, to my mind, it is reasonable to assume that the likelihood of suicides, or similar incidents occurring would be lowered. Perhaps, Leo, the cause-effect relationship is deemed suitable as it is. Perhaps, awareness on the systemic nature of Actualized.org is deemed to be appropriate. However, perhaps not. -

Take the relevant tests to ascertain whether you have learning disabilities, are neurotypical, overactive thyroid etc. Perhaps, talk through the common traps people fall into, i.e. lack of open mindedness, lack of acceptance. A key thing with taking these baseline checks is that it ensures the theory an individual consumes is applicable to that specific individual.

@SgtPepper "Pickup just seems like mind games to satisfy a primal need". I get the impression you've never done it. I see how you could take the view of it you do if you haven't. However, direct experience is king! We have all sorts of beliefs about things, but they are just fabrications. Do 300 approaches, with consistency and practice free association, then you'll see what OP is talking about.

@StarStruck Frustrating isn't it! Its the story of the hero's journey. You go out, and achieve something you didn't even know was possible. Next, you come back to your village. You tell people about your discovery, and hardly anyone believes you ;).

The shit about it helping schizoid personalities is very true. Most crazy shit for me was finding myself in this awesome state most of the time. Also, scary as I didn't know previously what I was missing out on.
