  1. your vibe is liiiit! Something tells me this will be of service to you
  2. Loooool. Leo's already done a tonne of vids on intuition xD! Didn't realise the extent of it before.
  3. Hey guys! When going through the value assessments part, it is suuuuuuper key to get in touch with your intuition. I struggled with this, until I implemented Do-Nothing meditation! Give it a go, especially if you're struggling with getting in touch with your intuition. Recommended links for DNM: 1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZ6cdIaUZCA&t=37s (Shinzen Young's vid) 2. 4. Or..... Be smart about it. Reduce your levels on stress. Do a round of progressive muscle relaxation before you head out.
  5. Nice! Welcoming your journal to the forum! Look forward to your journey. Boundary wise, I'll relay some sound advice I was given. You will fuck it up. You will make mistakes when setting boundaries. You will overreact sometimes. And that's okay. That is part of the process. Its better that you try and get it wrong, than never try at all.
  6. Trauma Release Exercises (TRE) . See David Berceli.
  7. Any retreats in Europe that focus on Do-nothing meditation, or similar?
  8. It is precisely your doing that creates suffering. It is in being that suffering stops.
  9. @somegirl You're welcome. I'm guessing by that you mean you've tried mindfulness meditation. Perhaps, trying a non-directive meditation style would better serve you? (i.e. do nothing meditation)
  10. @somegirl Also, one other thing. It sounds traumatic. You may like to try out TRE (Trauma Releasing exercises). Its a somatic form of trauma release. And you can do it at home. David Berceli is the go to guy on that. Also, TRE is just outrageously relaxing xD. If you have the book list, TRE is inspired by the author of the Reichian Therapy book Leo mentions.
  11. Not qualified to give advice, re dealing with the perpetrator, apart from the following. Be careful who you take advice from regarding this matter. People will have all sorts of theories about this. And a few of them would likely make things worse. The post about online resources sounds smart.
  12. @mandyjw yo, awesome post!
  13. @Vzdoh Introduce him to 'do-nothing meditation'. Deeply relaxing, and easy to get into. Can look into using the therapy of PSTEC. Check out the following book by PSTEC's founder, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Solve-Almost-Sexual-Problem-Easy/dp/1500475432.
  14. Buddhapadipa Temple in London does a sweet 7 day one.
  15. @BlurryBoi Yoooooooooo. What a a-class insight. That resonated with me a lot/ Thanks, and congrats personally!
  16. @blessedlion1993 "Wilber’s story is a cautionary tale. His intellectual understanding was immense, as much as I’ve ever come across in a single person. He also tapped into some of the farthest reaches of consciousness, spiritual or not, that humans have self-reported. I do believe that. But ultimately, he was done in by his pride, his need for control and, well, ironically his ego."- Manson, in the linked article. Separate the art from the artist.
  17. @Alysssa Its recommended by a book list I respect a lot.
  18. Hey guys! I thought it would be cool if we could share some personal stories about about how the Actualized work has helped over the years (or months, even days!). We can also include other people on the server who've helped us too!
  19. Haven't read it myself. Apparently this is the go-to though: Thinking in Systems: A Primer, by Donella Meadows.
  20. Bro, how's the journey? (Even if you've currently stopped cold approach)
  21. @Leo Gura All g my man. Loving the collaborative paradigm!
  22. I'll start. When I first came across Actualized.org I was at university. Materially, I was doing rather well. However, inside, I was pretty distraught. Leo Leo helped me begin my journey into true personal development! My perspectives on life have grown a lot! Personal favourites have been his videos about Spiral dynamics, and Fake Growth v Real Growth. The systems thinking video was also really awesome! Forum members Many of hear won't have even seen me post before. However, in my lurking, I have taken so many valuable bits of information from so many. Recently, though nervous, I decided to make some posts on here. I was really thankful for the thoughts out responses, particularly on my 'emotional numbness' post.
