  1. The point is that you can slice the cake anyway you want. One hand, five fingers, it doesn’t matter. What’s important to recognize though is that it’s your mind that’s doing the slicing. And it’s not slicing arbitrarily. It’s slicing based on what’s convenient for its survival.
  2. And they are filled with conspiracy nonsense. This sort of thinking is exactly why the institution of science exists. To filter out these kind of ideas. No surprise that this master appears not to be a fan of science. Encountering an alien on DMT and the claims made by this master are completely different. I can encounter Jesus on DMT. It doesn’t mean Jesus has infiltrated the government and is running your body.
  3. No. Conspiracy theories are very insidious mental traps. We don’t need to demonize anything per say, but for practical sake it’s correct to steer people away from these things. In that sense, people like Russell Brand and David Icke are doing great harm to people. Unintentionally of course, but harm none the less. Unfortunately it doesn’t much matter if you meant to drive your car over my foot or not. At the end of the day my foot is still going to be broken.
  4. @EnergyGem This is some conspiracy level teachings. I’d recommend you reconsider whatever engagement you have with this teacher / information.
  5. No, I’m just hella sloppy with how I type out my replies I need to work on that That was me I know. I felt so special
  6. Yes. Took a break from the forum for a couple years, stepped down.
  7. It’s not my argument that liberals are enlightened sages. We can critique liberals. Most liberals are also materialists who are not conscious of the Absolute. And indeed, they tend to throw out a lot of the wisdom in ancient wisdom and Stage Blue in general. However, you have to see this as stages of growth. Development is a messy process. But when you can see the whole map, it’s clear that liberals are more developed. And this is precisely where you are making your error. You are failing to see that shopping malls and nightclubs are actually cultural progress relative to Stage Blue. You are failing to see how messy growth actually is. Growth leads to new problems and new errors than then require new paradigms to solve. Not just a regression back to traditional conservatism. I grant that this may be the only form of spirituality many people are ready for. But the question we’ve been debating is about stages of development, not the practical details of handling the masses. Don’t move the goal posts. Also notice that if that’s all you think people can handle, then you run the risk of creating a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you think that’s all people can handle, then that’s what you’ll teach. And then that’s all they will understand. Versus actually attempting to lead people some place more evolved than mindless participates in a false spirituality. Again, you make this same error. You do appreciate or understand why modern society is the way it is.
  8. Because as I just said, conservatives tend to not actually be conscious of the Absolute. Their absolutism is based on a simplification of reality for the purposes of survival, fear and materialism. It is less truthful. Less complex of a mind. Less intelligent. Less close to God. Of course, survival, fear and materialism are all to be transcended but also included in one’s psyche. We don’t need to demonize or exclude them. “Development” is not a judgment. No. There may be a small number of Stage Blue conservative people who have had real transcendental experiences and understand what is beyond the symbol. But the vast majority have no clue. They are not even in the same ballpark.
  9. You can “understand” relativism in a dry, philosophical way. And maybe then it won’t influence your politics. But when your mind evolves and it actually becomes more conscious of relativity, it’s going to influence your politics. That’s basically a description of SD Stage Green. Of course there is an Absolute. But right-wingers have no clue what the Absolute is. They are not conscious of it. Instead they create a false Absolute out of religion, morality, culture, etc.
  10. They aren’t talking about anything metaphysical because they are not conscious of their metaphysics and how it is influencing their politics.
  11. This is a valid critique of guy’s learning social skills. It’s one that gives me some of the most pause when talking about this. Honestly I don’t have a good solution to this problem. It’s a sort of a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. If you take guys with low social skills and tell them to go improve their themselves by talking to women, there will be collateral damage in that process. It could be relatively minor, as in a slightly awkward conversation. Or it could be more serious. But hopefully, over time they will learn and correct any creepy behavior. In the long run this is good for women. The alternative is that these guys do nothing. But this is not a good solution either, because then they will not get the experience they need to fix their creepiness. They’re still just as creepy, and in fact will likely become even creepier. In the long run this is bad for women. Another solution could be that guys just work on these skills in controlled learning environments, like Toastmasters. I do like this solution, because everyone is aware it is a learning experience and is consenting to practice. But the problem is that these environments tend to be of limited real world value. It’s lacks the messiness of real socializing and dating. So I don’t really know what the answer is. As much as possible, any teachings here need to be win/win for both men and women. If either gender has their needs ignored, it will create dysfunction.
  12. Trump’s 2024 presidential run so far being a complete dud. He really seems to be slipping. If he keeps going this direction, Desantis may actually become the nominee.
  13. @Illusory Self You will get mostly shallow stage Green, new age spirituality. Western yoga is basically just a physical practice.
  14. @TheSource Sounds like you had a bit of a freak out, but since then have integrated and interpreted your experience correctly. Minor freak outs are basically par for the course. Personally I’ve not had one of these “you are the only one who knows this” experiences, but some of my awakenings definitely have been on the solipsistic side. You’re blurring all lines of self/other. Overall I’d say great work.
  15. @Hello from Russia A lot of the new age community is mostly stage Green, which is the leading edge of mainstream consciousness. You certainly could do much worse. It aims to correct a lot of the traps of Blue spirituality. Some of the biggest traps to watch out for in these circles are conspiracy theories, anti-mainstream bais, anti-allopathic medicine bias, anti-elite bias, “my intuition says”, misinterpretations of the law of attraction, not taking enough action, and overpriced “wellness” events / courses.
  16. I would be wary of perfectionism and thinking you're going to eliminate all these things completely. Life tends to be messier than that.
  17. That is clearly not what I'm suggesting. Don't strawman my argument.
  18. @Adei Marijuanna is legal to purchase and possess where I live. So I've been experimenting with various protocols to see if it can create a psychedelic effect. So far, I'd say the results have been mixed. I may do a full report with all my trips in the future.
  19. There is no magic answer here. You have to deal with your unique child and the context of the situation. Also notice that even adults have rules they're expected to follow. Some of them formal legal laws, some of them informal social norms. Even this forum has rules. You never get to just do whatever you want. While this could become oppressive when taken to an extreme, it is not inherently so. This is how it should be. That's true. But consider that's not because children are so "oppressed" when they are younger. Consider that part of that may be because they actually didn't receive sufficient boundaries, guidance and appropriate responsibility when they were younger. Regardless, such a phenomenon is complex and multi-faceted.
  20. @Aaron p You know how vampires can only enter a house if you give them permission? That's basically how I tend to deal with people. Unless they've given me permission, I tend to not say anything. They did not ask for my opinion on their life or for my help. If there is an opening, you still have to make an assessment of where this person is at and what they're able to hear. Often I'll just drop little breadcrumbs. If the opening is large or if you're specifically in a learning environment, then you can share more. It's all about reading the context.
  21. Not really. At some point you just have to do the thing. The more you socialize, the more natural it will feel. Which will inspire you to want to keep socializing. You could consider getting a job that requires more socializing. That would force you into a new pattern.
  22. Of course some adults have low levels of development. But generally speaking, adults will have more development than children. They’ve lived longer and their psyche has had more time and experience to evolve. Children can be empowered, but only to a degree. And the degree they should be empowered needs to be correlated to their level of development. Which in most cases is quite low. Otherwise you will create more problems in the child’s life. I’ve noticed that people at a Stage Green level of consciousness want to try and treat children like adults. Possibly because their childhood was genuinely oppressive at times. But they swing the pendulum too far and forget about the importance of being the adult in the room.
  23. Seems unlikely to me this will pass. Too radical a move and too many people who benefit from tiktok. But if it does pass, I won’t cry about it.
  24. @John Paul children are mostly treated like children because they have the development of children. What is oppressive for an adult might actually be reasonable for a child. Standards are rightfully different. Of course some children are actually more mature than adults. It’s a nuanced issue. But generally it’s right to assume that what is appropriate for an adult may not be appropriate for a child.
