Love loves unconditionally. No difference between selflessness and selfishness. Only from the ego's pov. When spiritual teachers advocate moralism, they act from a relative perspective. If they acted from the absolute perspective, they wouldn't be teaching in the first place. -

Thoughts don't necessarily prevent that realization. When thoughts have no more illusory power, it doesn't make a big difference whether they are gone or whether there is some background mind chatter. Then, thoughts prevent realization as little as water streaming in the background. Of course? -

Exactly? -

Not for me. If thoughts stop, there is still illusion, ime. Through a sublte feeling/belief, without mental words / thoughts. Maybe your definition of "thoughts" is larger. Does your defintion include these subtle feelings/beliefs? If it does, then your advice of "stop thinking" is very good advice, but also very difficult to actualize. Even with insane meditation skills or a big psychedelic dose, you don't completely stop these sublte feelings/beliefs. For there to be no difference between deep sleep and life, requires a very radical deconstruction. Not merely of mental words / thoughts but all subtle mind phenomena like feelings, beliefs, etc must be completely stopped or completely seen through. I doubt this is the case for you. I don't even think it was the case for someone like Buddha. -

Plugging the holes of Maslows Pyramid, as well as having an awakening experience and directly realizing the ENORMITY of awakening would both help. Did you watch the Matrix movies? Neo was offered a red pill (= harsh truth and exiting the matrix) and a blue pill (= getting lost in illusion again). Some people would take the red pill no matter what, no matter how tough the truth might be. They just want to know the truth. While other people's number one priority is happiness. They would choose happiness over Truth (blue pill). You might be in some alien matrix right now! You know nothing about reality. You have a good conceptual understanding of nonduality, but it's basically worthless. Its only value is as a pointer towards a potential truth. But you have no idea whether it is total bs or not. It doesn't matter how many people tell you what Truth and Reality is, in the end you are just imagining these stories. And are left wihout a hint of Truth. You can't trust any teacher whatsoever. They could be evil aliens in disguise, trying to keep you in the illsuion! Reality could be completely different!!! I am dead serious!!! I'm not just refering to "yeah it's still just a concept until you get it". I'm pointing to something more radical than that. What enlightened people say has no value for getting an idea what Truth/Reality is. It could be completely different. That it might be completely different, has the same probability, from your pov!!! Do you realize the significance?? You are completely clueless. And so deep in illusion that you think you know conceptually what Truth/Reality is. You could be in a matrix, in an alien lab, seperate from God, an experiment of an evil God...... You have 0 idea. If you get this, this should give you chills. Doesn't this make you curious? You could go and actually figure out what Reality/Truth/God is. The red pill is 5meo. ? -

That would be possible if the ego were God. The ego is not God. You are God. -

I used these words to point to 'something'. ? Unless thoughts have been stripped of the illusions they usually bring along, and are 'seen' for what they are. True. Relative perspective is a thought. -

Ultimately, this right now is the same as mahasmadhi. Thinking or no thinking makes no difference about that. From the relative perspective, this right now is not mahasamadhi, and stopping thoughts also makes no difference about that. At least not for 'me'.? IME, there is no significant correlation between normal thoughts and the solidity of the illusion. (unless I completely void the mind, even every subtle surface thought/mindtendency. Plus immense focus. If I do this I enter a dissociative state. But I don't think this is what you are referring to). What happens in 'your' experience when 'you' stop thinking? Does it make a difference? -

In most OBEs where you have a body, you have eyes the same way your physical body has. (which is no eyes, until you look into a mirrow. Actually you don't even have eyes then. The mirror has lol). In some OBEs 'you' are just a point of awareness, without body. (actually, there are just appearances, and one appearance is the sensation/illusion of being located as a point of awareness). And yeah, there are still visuals, no eyes needed. -
GreenWoods replied to freejoy's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
you are right, I'm sure scientists would come up with another story? But the story ot physical eyes is pretty convincing for most people. Hard to beat that. -
GreenWoods replied to freejoy's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
In order to create the illusion of life. Without the appearance of 'eyes' you wouldn't buy into the illusion of perception. The more illsuions you dissolve, the more you dissolve the illusion of life, till mahasamadhi happens. If you want to enjoy life, you need illusions. There won't be a 3D world left. Not even the illsuion of it. No one returns to God. -

No. From the absolute perspective, there is no future. Death is a concept and doesn't exist. From the relative perspective, the illusion will continue after death. Probably in some astral realms and or reincarnation. Death will be like falling asleep and then waking again. The illusion only stops with mahasamadhi. -

The vast majority of deep sleep happens during the first half of the night, and the vast majority of dreams happen during the second half. So, just sleep the first half normal, and the second half inclined. -

Awakening doesn't necessarily increase your wellbeing. It can increase your wellbeing, but only with enough surrender. If you don't pursue Truth for Truth's sake, you won't be able to surrender to it, because every other reason you might have for pursuing awakening will be completely shattered (depending on the depth of your awakening). -

yes, just do it for as long as you want. No "have to". Wait for as long as you want. -

@mmKay Good plan ? As far as I know, truffles are very similiar to shrooms. But if growing shrooms is legal in Spain, I would just rent a place in Spain. Rather than moving all the way to the Netherlands and rent a place there. -

@Forestluv I see ? I misinterpreted your first post. -
GreenWoods replied to Philipp's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Philipp There is no future, and no past. This is your very first breath. And your very last breath at the same time. -
GreenWoods replied to Philipp's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Gesundheit So you think. ? Thats how you create the illusion of life. @Forestluv Really? "No timeline" exists as actuality. "A timeline" only exists as a concept. -
GreenWoods replied to VeganAwake's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Unconsciousness doesn't exist. Because Consciousness is Self-Conscious. But from the ego's POV, it seems like unconsciousness exists. 'Unconsciousness' is full ego death, 100% Godhead. It isn't actual unconsciousness, because You, God, are fully Conscious. But without ego. So, if the ego later 'returns', it seems like there was nothing, because there was no ego. Therefore I don't think 100% Godhead can be experienced or known. It can only be be-ed by God, with full Consciousness. But never known by something finite. The finite can't experience the Infinite. Only the Infinite can 'experience' the Infinite. -

Listening to this one, I feel an almost immediate effect: For me, binaural beats are definitely stronger than L-Theanine. -
GreenWoods replied to joshuahuebner's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@knakoo If you have good experiences with binaural beats while tripping, give this a try as well: I think it works similiar to binaural beats, but it seems to be a lot stronger. -

You gotta try doing some shamanic breathing or wim hof breathing before or during it !!!?? -
GreenWoods replied to Marek's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
You are right! I just tried it and the visuals are crazy. I wasn't expecting that. Other than that, it was blissful and I experienced a noticable increase of non-dualness. Comparable to mild tripping. I will keep using it. Thanks for the post! Guys, give it a try!!
