  1. I also wouldn't necessarily call it an idea. It's more like recognition. No thoughts or concepts required. Can you explain why?
  2. You are right. When I wrote that, it was purely a belief. I just cranked up consciousness, and now it isn't belief any more. We are always playing games, no matter what we do. It is pure understanding.
  3. @Preety_India Yes there certainly are. @BipolarGrowth You practice some kind of devotion to the Holy Spirit, right? My favourite religion is Hare Krishna and Hinduism, second is Christianity. These are the religions of the heart. Your posts on the paranormal were interesting to read. I basically never looked into christian mysticism, but maybe I should rethink that.
  4. It helps a lot if you understand all that stuff already conceptually. But you will still be severely shocked and mindfucked, because nothing can really prepare you. I guess the best you can do to keep the crazies low is to take it slow. The faster you wake up, the more shocking.
  5. @Enlightenment Your belief of "whole universe" disappeared, along with everything else you imagined . And only God/Consciousness remained, Aware of Itself. And from the absolute perspective, all of that is right now imagined to have happened. @tatsumaru Nice!
  6. I'm sure many do it in a cultish and illusionary way. But not all. The danger of getting deluded is of course far greater with something like Hare Krishna compared to something like Zen Buddhism. But compared to most traditional Hinduism or Christianity, Hare Krishna is quite advanced and effective. Deep surrender and devotion, to the point where you are effectively deep in illusion (from a non-dual perspective) can result in incredible non-dual growth (if done in the right way. Which is tricky to get right). This is generally very underestimated on this forum.
  7. Definitely. Though their current understanding of that goal is more dualistic and less advanced than that of actualized.org followers. I love Hare Krishna!
  8. @Enlightenment The way I see it, this car experience means that: either there was no consciousness. And these 2 seconds never happened. Like time travelling 2 seconds into the future. And you have no memory or idea of what might have happened during these 2 seconds or, you do remember something of these 2 seconds. And in that case, a very small amount of ego consciousness was still present. Enough to register stuff happening, but not enough to register it as a conscious experience. (or the 3rd point of my previous post. unconsciousness from the ego's pov. But Consciousness from Consciousness'/God's pov) (from the relative perspective. From the absolute, past is imagination anyway). What you, Frank, and the guy in the video are basically saying is that Ultimate Nothingness is not identical to God, Consciousness and Being. That this Ultimate Nothingness is prior to God=Consciousness=Being. That these are impermanent phenomena arising out of the permanent ground which is Ultimate Nothingness. This contradicts my awakenings. It probably contradicts the awakenings of most people on here, I guess.
  9. @Fran11 Does it make you have full amnesia of having been a human?
  10. @Enlightenment What do you mean with "cessation"? Do you mean one of these 3? The Void 'experience'. No body sensations, no thoughts, and no memories (amnesia). Only Nothingness remains. Nothingness=Being=Consciousness. It still exists, it is still being, it is still 'experienced'. I've seen it being mentioned in trip reports, by meditators and sleep yogis. I think Consciousness is always there, but with varying levels of 'ego consciousness'. If it seems like you are unconscious while experiencing it, but later you remember it, there was still very little 'ego consciousness' present. But not enough for the ego mind to recognize being conscious. It is also said that there is a difference between deep sleep and being 'unconscious' from narcotics. After deep sleep it feels like time has passed. The above mentioned perspective, would indicate that ego consciousness is present during deep sleep, more than during 'unconsciousness' from narcotics. Beyond that, I think that there are states of consciousness where there is 0% ego. The way I see it is, when you are in God Consciousness, there is still very small ego. When the ego is 100% gone, that 'experience' can not be known or experienced 'by the ego', so from the ego's pov it is full true unconsciousness. But from the UltimateSelf=God=Consciousnes, it is not unconsciousness. So let's say you take a psychedelic, then 100% ego is gone, you are fully conscious as God, then the ego returns and it seems like it was complete unconsciousness. No memory of it exists. No indication whatsoever that it ever happened. Unconsciousness from the egos pov, but Consciousness from God's pov. Is one of these 3 things what you and Frank are refering to?
  11. Realizing what Leo explains in the video has two requirements/components: Recognition Altered consciousness In it's most shallow form, Recognition could be considered mentally understanding what Leo talks about. And then Conceptual awakening. I think this is not too hard, if you do lots of contemplation it should get obvious how for example everything outside direct experience seems like it is your imagination. But this is as far as you will get with simple contemplation. You get to the point where this stuff makes sense but you are not sure. You can't be sure. Maybe the past actually only exists as an imagination. Or maybe it is an imagination but it additionally also exists independently of 'you' imagining it. With an ordinary state of consciousness you don't know. It can be known for certain, but for that you need to be in a radically different state of consciousness. Then there is no doubt. So this is the second component: Altered State. Psychedelics are by far the most powerful tool to achieve this altered state. But in can be achieved by others too. The best tools to temporarily alter/increase your state of consciousness: sleep yoga lucid dreaming shamanic breathing dark room retreat sleep deprivation sensory deprivation tank And to a lesser extent: transmissions yoga, meditation, trance, self inquiry, contemplation, concentration,... lumenate, brainwave entrainment channeling energy exhaustion fasting being sick devotion masturbation and orgasm radical surrender (for example due to extreme suffering) However, the temporary increase of none of them is enough to reach the necessary state of consciousness (except maybe sleep yoga and lucid dreaming if you are very good at it) (unless you are talented). Therfore, your baseline needs to be very high. Basically, the key is: very high baseline (such that the gap between your baseline and God consciousness gets smaller) being skilled at techniques which temporarily increase your state of consciousness Now, for the baseline, you just gotta do all these tools long enough. The more you do them, the more your baseline increases. Until the mix of your baseline + tool is eventually enough to reach that God consciousness. That's how I did it. What I'm surprised about, is, that when people talk about reaching God consciousness without psychedelics, only common practices like meditation and self inquiry are talked about. And yes, obviusly that won't do the job. There is a very big difference between merely doing practices like meditation and self inquiry or combining MANY practices. I feel like there is also a synergistic effect when you do a lot of different practcies, which all hit the target from a different angle. The key for me has been combining many different practices. For me, the most change in baseline has occured due to: Transmissions help by spirits self inquiry devotion sleep deprivation 4 out of these 5 are almost never talked about on this forum. But all the techniques I mentioned had their place. Additionally to the practices already mentioned, I also do (or have done in the past): chanting mantras certain visualisations subliminals listening to energetic fields praying manifestation/LOA tools music hypnosis (Except for sensory deprivation, I've experimented with all of the practices mentioned). It's also worth mentioning that there is always more depth to any awakening. Such deeper depths (which I haven't accessed, but I'm sure Leo has) might well be only accessible via psychedelics, unless you do the above mentioned practices for many years. And doing all of the powerful ones, like sleep yoga, lucid dreaming and transmissions.
  12. @Enlightenment If there weren't consciousness, 'you' wouldn't be able to 'experience'/'know' cessation.
  13. @kinesin Once you reach a certain level of consciousness, these things you described won't happen any more. you will be too conscious to even eat. At that point the physical body dies, but you don't die because You are God and Eternal. It will be like changing your socks.
  14. @Carl-Richard I think in my case, a more subtle form of the worrying component is responsible. For example, with some contemplation, I can get to the mindspace where I accept immediate physical death. This would reduce anxiety a bit, but not significantly. On a conscious level, this acceptance would be authentic. But on a deeper more subtle level it is still inauthentic, hence still anxiety. For me, It is not enough to be in the right mindspace. 'Tangible' higher consciousness is required.
  15. @Seraphim Do you physically visit your teacher or does he/she give these transmissions online?
  16. If screenshots are not perceived, then there aren't any. Reality is what it is. No behind the scenes. "screenshots" are fantasy. Thoughts appearing to be an object in motion? I'm not sure I get what you mean.
  17. When I started Self-inquiry, it had almost no effect on me. Over the next 2 years I raised my baseline through many transmissions, kriya yoga, shamanic breathing, working with spirits, devotion, trance work, sleep deprivation,.... Now, Self-inquiry is crazy effective. But if I hadn't raised my baseline through these other practices, I still wouldn't get anywhere with it.
  18. @Carl-Richard @kinesin That is interesting. I think my anxiety has been mainly phsiological (rather than cognitive). Therefore mindfulness didn't have much of an effect. Breathing exercises don't have much of an effect on my physiological anxiety either (I still experience it to some extend). I think this anxiety stuff is very deeply ingrained in my body. The only stuff that made a real difference has been integrating awakenings, raising my baseline consciousness and opening my heart chakra. @Growly It doesn't have to be complex. In its simplest form, you just put your attention on you heart chakra area and try to feel love. But as you have cognitive anxiety, doing the stuff what others suggested here in this thread will probably have a more direct effect on your anxiety and be overall more effective.
  19. @TheDao Thanks! @m0hsen Same! The breathless state probably leads to very deep Samadhi. But I wouldn't pursue the breathless state for that purpose. It's too much effort. There are simpler ways to deepen Samadhi. But if the breathless state happens as a side effect, that would be an awesome bonus. For me, supreme fire builds energy, opens energy channels, increases bliss and peace and Oneness and significantly increases my ability to surrender. Doing just one round right before any spiritual practice, gives it a boost. Another name for the immortal body is "rainbow body". In case you wanna do some research, you will probably find more stuff with that name.
  20. For many people mindfulness helps to reduce anxiety. For me, it didn't really reduce anxiety. The only stuff that had a significant effect has been: opening the heart chakra awakening
  21. Thanks for the replies! I did some more observation. Motion and the fact that time is an illusion seemed contradictory. I wasn't able to make sense of it. The normal understanding of motion is that it consists of many appearances happening after each other, like many screenshots. The motion of going up 10 stair steps consists of going up the first step, then the second,... But this hinches on time being real. Time is an illusion and yet there is motion. If the present moment consisted of only one 'screenshot' (for example the 5th staircase), there would not be the appearance of motion. It would be static. Memory could give the belief of motion, but the actual 'perception ' would be static. But it is not static. This might suggest that we are conscious of several screenshots at once. But that is obviously not the case either. The solution is that motion doesn't work the way it is generally thought of. Motion doesn't consist of several 'screenshots'. That is just the story invented to make sense of it. In the first post I was on the right track. Motion is one appearance. It seems like the motion (which is happening in this instant), starts at A and ends at B, which suggest several screenshots and thus time. But it is only one appearance, one screenshot, which is structured in such a way, that it is interpreted by the mind to consist of several screenshots happening after each other. There is content in this now moment, and that is what exists. But it is one appearance, not many. Motion consists of one appearance. The mind says it consists of several. But you are conscious of only this right now. There is nothing behind the scenes. If there is motion right now, then there is motion right now. And if you are not conscious of several successive steps, then there aren't any. If you think this post is mental masturbation, you are probably right. If I just merge into pure Oneness, such 'problems' with how motion works don't arise. And 'I' do that often enough, but there is also a place for understanding, and this particular issue, I seem to only understand with a lot of active contemplation (and observation of course).
  22. @TheDao Do you mean this one: There are no instructions in the video. Where can we find instructions on channeling heaven and earth energies?
