  1. You answered it for yourself This. Your ego always tries to make you look "good" so it can sustain itself. If you would see yourself as a devil you would have to change and the ego doesn't like to change. Change=death, Ego's purpose=avoid death
  2. @remember @Amit Interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing your thoughts
  3. You are you. If you would experience me, you would be me A is A and B is B, if A would be B it wouldn't be A
  4. What makes you think that this is not so?
  5. @Leo Gura How would you define personality? where does it "come from"?

  10. @JessiChell Important thing to understand about spiral dynamics: "The higher up on the spiral, the bigger the circle of concern." So yes both blue and green want justice, but a blue person is mostly going to be worried about justice for "his people" (that is also why they aren't too worried about harsh punishments since it won't affect "his people"). That's why the blue person struggles with gay rights, minorities, and veganism. + There is no such thing as real justice, it's entirely subjective
  11. I've heard from different sources things like, "I had 634 reincarnations" or "this specific person is a reincarnation of me". My way of thinking was always that "I AM" every soul/incarnation there is. I'm a bit confused and was hoping you guys could help me get some clarity.
  12. this is an excerpt from conversations with god to which I'm partly referring to.

  15. @Leo Gura @Serotoninluv SQUIRREL LIVES MATTER I see why, but if you observe a problem in society and you want to fix it. Maybe we shouldn't look for all the reasons there are why it can't be fixed, but instead look around. See what countries/cities are doing better. Ask the question what price they are paying for that or what reasons there are. And then start testing out things. That seems like the smartest way to go about it.
  16. Iraq and Sudan have higher homicide rates and are still doing better. Even if you adjust all the numbers to make everything equal (adjust the numbers so population doesn't make a difference and "act" as if Germany had the same amount of murders) America is still doing ~8x worse than Germany. I don't get why many (not all) of you guys don't see a problem in this and try to justify needless killings by saying policing is tough. I'm all for seeing both points of view, but shouldn't a society point out wrongdoing so it can be made better? Am I missing something here?
  17. Yeah, I don't get why one has to go through all of those awkward tests in front of other people. Also, to anyone interested. Check this stat out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_killings_by_law_enforcement_officers_by_country This is ridiculous. America is doing WORSE than countries like Iraq, Sudan, Kenya, etc. I really can't comprehend why people justify the use of deadly force the way they do. Yes, policing is hard. It doesn't justify pulling the trigger as soon as things get hectic or complicated. The fact that cops even consider pulling out their guns seems to be the problem. The country I'm living in - Germany has roughly 35 times fewer killings. 35 TIMES. And this is already considering the population difference. You can't justify this shit if countries with similar economical backgrounds are doing so much better. Saying guns are part of the culture is like saying: being stupid is part of our culture, therefore no free schooling.
  18. @Member a friend said I looked like Charmander and drew this. Idk thought it's cute haha
  19. NOT a reason to kill him. You don't give someone the death penalty on the spot for "what they could have done". So you would rather kill them? He just wanted to escape from the cops. I don't see why he would go around and taze people. Even if, would you rather get a "how could you let a criminal run away with your tazer" or a "how could you murder a person" I definitely see your point, that policing is hard and all. But this shouldn't keep us from criticizing toxic behavior.
  20. You know it's the wrong decision for you, that is why you are asking this question again. To justify a bad decision. You have gotten your advice in the first thread already. This. Its probably like a mind virus right now because you watched a lot of gameplay videos/reviews of it till now. If you put your mind to other things the desire will probably get weaker.
  21. Wasn't the whole thing about him falling asleep in a waiting line? So what if you let him run, is he going to fall asleep in another parking lot? Does he really deserve to be shot 3 times?? The officer didn't even try to shoot for his leg, just 3 immediate bullets not even waiting to see if the first one immobilized him. Say what you will, but this situation could be handled a whole lot better. They had his car and footage of his face, it shouldn't be too hard to identify him and later charge him with something bigger.
  22. Is it worth it to sit in the lotus position? I'm a young guy and would consider myself rather flexible, however whenever I sit down in meditation for longer than 20minutes in the lotus position my knees and ankles are hurting and my legs fall asleep more than they usually do. If I want I can power through it but I find it rather distracting. Is there any benefit to it? does it get better after a while? are there any stretches I can do beforehand that would help?
