You have no idea what it means to be homeless. It means getting beaten up on the street by teenagers, fighting with other homeless people, diseases, freezing and so much more. You'll have to live in stage red 24/7 just to survive or people will step over you. Then why not do it now?

I am blessed right now with having a lot of free time with very little responsibilities since I am currently visiting an online school which currently requires very little effort. However, I notice myself just wasting a lot of time. And it's not even like I enjoy the time I'm wasting. When I'm actually being productive and work on my projects I feel much more alive and happy, yet I still avoid it. Why is that? Shouldn't I be pulled towards the things I enjoy? Where does this resistance come from? Is it an issue of identity? and how do I fix that?

Not to mention that those kids look everything but happy. Many pro players say they regret going pro. I have a friend with 12k hours in Dota 2. If he would have worked minimum wage in that time he could buy a house by now.

Oh, I have been rolling my sleeves up for far too long, I know that it's time to get to work. I've been working a mediocre 9/5 which was rather boring for a few years and I could maintain high focus, motivation, and work ethic. Now I'm offered the possibility to work pretty much full time on the things I actually love and care about but I'm pissing my time away. It makes no sense. I think it's what @seeking_brilliance talked about, I need to be held accountable.

Where do you get the idea from that it will help your cognitive skills? My personal opinion is honestly not to do it. Especially not PvP games. You'll compete against 14-year-olds that spend their whole day playing games, which in turn will make you want to spend a lot of time on them as well. If you don't play for fun, I really see no reason to play.

It depends from what perspective you are asking the question? What is meant by "do we/I have free will". What is "we/I" referring to? I assume that you are still under the illusion of the conventional self. From that perspective, yes free will seems to exist. "You" can make decisions just as much as "You" can feel guilty about things. If you however awaken from this illusion your views on free will might differ.

Okay cool, so let's say you don't follow your life purpose, what would you do instead? Sure you can take the perspective that everything is meaningless and there is truth to that in a certain way. But it doesn't change the fact that you are here right now and have to spend your time somehow.

Don't see yourself as a victim of the situation, see it as hustling to reach a bigger goal! Also, you might want to get some sound blocking earplugs or listen to audiobooks while on the job, I can imagine it being pretty enjoyable that way actually. If you struggle with energy def. work out or do some running 20 mins every other day should already be enough.
