How do you balance knowing and not knowing though? You had to know the meaning of these words to type something. -

So why do we read books then if knowing is illusion? -
I'm moving towards enlightenment and in my dreams I could sense I was afraid of enlightenment. I don't remember a lot from this dream but it does resonate with my fears. What if I get enlightened and I don't like it? There is no way going back. I don't want to be that bald dude from the Matrix who is all disillusioned and bitter. Last couple of months I worked on my productivity, procrastination, trauma's and I made a long way through. Previously I had a weak ego and now it is becoming more defined and I see enlightenment as a possibility but I don't know if I want it. This year I will have to make the choice. Afterwards, it is going to be more difficult. Currently I don't have a lot of obligations, so it is now or never.

"You think because you understand 'one' you must also understand 'two', because one and one make two. But you must also understand 'and'. -Rumi What did he mean?

I guess, I'm afraid whether or not I will make it out of the prison. The prison has negatives but it has also positives. It would be stupid to prematurely break out of prison and freeze to death in the forest. I did psychedelics and on average it was a horrible experience. I don't want that to repeat. I'm in therapy working through old stuff and trauma of the past. Perhaps after that I might try it again. -

So is there an opposite of duality? So I guess you are saying duality is duality, and nonduality transcends all duality as a wrapper? That and until recently it was the poor man's vehicle of that region. A horse was like a ferari. A donkey was a tesla. I didn't get the first part of the second sentence. I will think about it. -

Thanks but I didn't get the Buddhism reference. I still have to look into that when I have time. @mandyjw Rumi had a donkey ? -

Why rush it though? If it doesn't matter, why not wait until - so called - physical death? To be honest, I only want enlightenment if it serves me. If I get knocked out and get alienated by it, if it interferes with my life purpose. I don't want it. -
@Intraplanetary are you making money with that?

But doesn't take the mystery away? If I know how titanic behind the scenes is made, I wouldn't enjoy the movie as much. -

I'm being pushed towards it. Yesterday, I had the experience of the now, and how my identity is a symbol/wrapper for my subjective experiences. Today it dwindled away though. -

That is bollocks. -

I get that but if you are watching a movie and you are really into it, you don't want the lights of the cinema room to go on, wouldn't you? -

I don't like that idea. -

Leo seems ok with it. You can't help everybody, no? -
I'm always heavily triggered by vegans and I always have the tendency to emotionally lash out, saying something sarcastic or snappy. I fully get the economic and environmental aspect, although veganism can be more expensive and hazardous for the environment. Especially if you look at the volumes of food they are consuming to get their calories. The vitamin pills they are binging on. The doctor's appointments and constant blood tests. It is not cheap, nor is it good for the environment if you take a peak at the bus loads of vegetables and fruits they are consuming. The economic and environmental aspect can be debated and I don't have a strong opinion on this matter. It is just the judgmental and pretentious personality of these people that I can't stand. They feel better than everybody and lie to themselves too that they have a healthy diet although noteworthy vegan celebrities are dropping left and right, going back to a normal diet. Am I projecting my own issues on vegans or are these people really that annoying? https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/article/going-vegan-isnt-actually-th/

I will contribute by eating a fat t-bone tonight. All these discussions made me hungry. Lions gotta eat.

@Preety_India you won't notice anything being vegan within 5 months, it takes at least 1,5 years for your body's B12, creatine and iron to deplete. Afterwards you will slowly decay. Some people just last longer than others because of body type. Look at the video below. And AGAIN... vitamin pills are NOT(!) a replacement for the bio-available nutrients found exclusively in animal products. They might have the same name but for your body it is not the same. This sums it up. I don't know what we are discussing here. Vegan diet + small amounts of meat. It defeats all the environmental complaints by vegans and you are literally not starving yourself to death. Stage green ideology and dogma tried to guilt-trip me into veganism but one doesn't have to become full vegan. There is a grey area. Reducing meat consumption is a way to go. Educating consumers and upping the quality of meat should be our priority.

Bottled water is cheap here so I don't mind.

B12 in a pill and B12 in meat is not the same. And secondly bio-availability is not the same.
