Now you didn't answer my question, who would you pick? The right obviously has some principles of value. Just because something is right wing that does not mean it's not wise. There is plenty of wisdom on the right that people are ignorant about. -

You asked about statements like strong and good. I think asking who you would rather have lead the country is a better approximation of those values. So it's hard to define what is strong and what is good. But your intuition will lean one way or another for who would run the country, and whoever you choose is likely the stronger and good person. -

You don't believe David Goggins and Joccowillink are stronger than Vaush? You had to pick one of them to rule the country, either Vaush or Goggins/Jocco. Who does your intuition tell you to pick? -

I think there is some truth to it. Think of the toughest guys in the collective online consciousness. David Goggans, Jokko Willink, etc. These guys are bias towards the right I bet. Even though most people here would consider Vaush hiher on the SD tier than David Goggins, I don't think anyone would doubt who would win in a competition about anything -
Great talk on the paradoxical nature of happiness.

The pareto principle. 20% of our actions yield 80 % of our results. So figure out what is the 20% that is yielding most of the results for you. I recommend checking out this speaker https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJyUYFBDTCU&t=33s He has a website where you can do a value determination process. You want to find out what your true values are, and then realign yourself so you live according your values. If you are doing things you value most, discipline, focus etc will come naturally. How much do you have to discipline yourself to do things you really enjoy? No one has to tell me to meditate or play video games. It requires 0 discipline and yet I spend a lot of time on this stuff -
I am seeing that many people are supporting restricting health services for the unvaccinated. The idea is that because unvaccinated are not acting responsibly towards their own health and societies health, then they are forgoing their right to demand equal health services as those who are taking the pandemic more seriously. How about people who are obese who knowingly and willing live an unhealthy lifestyle that dramatically increases their risk of death and disease, and who also are likely to absorb a significant percentage of total health care spending. Obesity is a drain on the society and health care system, and when we think of the push for universal and equitable health care, we must also consider that obese people will be using healthcare resources at an astronomical rate in the future compared to the general non-obese population. To those of you who support discrimination against unvaccinated people for priority healthcare access, access to business's and travel etc. Do you also support putting restrictions on obese people who are irresponsible with their health? If not why?

Some people know. Look at how many traditions talk about death being something to accept and transcend. I don't think death is bad. What if death is good? There are people who are not troubled my death. Go learn their wisdom. Bruce lee talks about learning the art of dying -

You can start small. It's okay to be terrified of death. I would say look up people who were in high death situations and thrived. Personally, I love watching Napolean videos. His best marshals faced death in every battle, and yet they still performed like heroes. Not everyone let's death disturb them, if you learn about them and seek to understand them, then you can also be like them. Contemplate what is death. -

Interesting. I think you will cure your anxiety when you learn to embrace death. You must fully accept death, and see what the anxiety is trying to show you. You can start small, but I would start learning more about death and just become curious about it. At least you know what the cause is, now you can address it. -

Wow. I never really saw yoga like this, but this makes sense. I have felt my entire personality change on psychidelics when I felt into certain tension points in the body. I guess true yoga can do the same thing. The yoga I was doing was like a workout class lol. I think it was from a real lineage, but the way I practiced was effectively just a group workout/stretching class. Hmm okay. That's very interesting. Can you learn the Isha style yoga online, or do you need to get initiated into a lineage or something? How long did it take you to learn to practice and see benefits? That's a cool story. I practiced a lot of self inquiry too, but I never got major shifts like I would with psychidelics. I still feel i've benefited, but I was definitely doing self inquiry with the hope I would get the kinds of results you are describing form yoga. -

Why don't you give a clear, straight forward answer to the question? A clear answer would be, no I do not support this, or I do support this. But you went on about how funny you found the thread, etc. I am giving you my impression of how you are coming across. Maybe you are being clear, and straight forward. I'm not triggered by that idea. From my pov, it seems like this is it. And yet there is higher to go. -

@Nahm I don't know if your meaning to do it. But you are coming across as dishonest and evasive. -

Lol. I don't know what you expect me to say this. No I will not admit that something that helps more than 0% of the time is better than something that helps 0%. Like wtf man -

Well it's government policy. And people are getting fired, restricted from business's etc. In Vancouver you can't go to restaurants without being double vaccinated. So I don't see how what i'm saying is not representative of reality. How so? Vaccinations are not 100% effective, and you can still get infected and relay the virus if vaccinated. What is the purpose of all the vaccinations? Why is there such a push to vaccinate, and discriminate against the unvaccinated? It's because of societal health. So why are not we acting against obese people who are the one's who are the greatest threat to cause healthcare collapse? -
Raptorsin7 replied to Raptorsin7's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
What about access to business's, travelling etc. The argument for discriminating against unvaccinated is they will increase the spread of the virus, and that will lead to an overflow of covid patients in hospitals and then the healthcare system will be backlogged and collapse. But we could say that obese people should also be discriminated against, because they are the one's most likely to suffer serious consequences and overflood hospitals if they get infected. -

Thanks. It was helpful. I think I will sign up for a vipassana retreat or some other kind of retreat. Do you think just working on the body with practices can be effective without also addressing beliefs and thoughts? I did ashtanga yoga for like 5 months very consistently, and although it was fun sometimes and kind of relaxing, I thought just working on the physical body was a very ineffective and rudimentary way of making progress on the path. -

Well it would be nice for my own understanding. I am not a desperate seeker, i've been that in the past but at this point things are unfolding differently. I ask consciousness for guidance and I get it, and I can feel real time guidance from holy spirit or whatever you want to call it, so at this point it's enough for me. Final question, what was the moment of liberation like. I'm assuming you were a seeker and now it seems like you found what you're looking for. Can you describe what happened in terms of your own human experience -
Raptorsin7 replied to Raptorsin7's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Do you believe you have complete understanding and embodiment of suffering and how to stop it? If you answer yes, then why is your complete understanding of the path, not enough to change the suffering and issues facing humanity. I would appreciate straight answers to these questions -

This is a great explanation, I always sensed something was incomplete about the being aware of being technique. I want to cultivate positive qualities like bliss and love, so I guess I have to find a more direct path. How do you know what purification process will work for you? Yeah, I realize that my thoughts about the world are my issue. My lens and how I view the world is distorted. How long does purification take? So awareness of awareness can work? It seems like you're contradicting yourself here. What is purification in your view -

You will likely regret this. If I were Russel Brand I would not appreciate messages like this. -

Well it's working for me so we'll see how it goes. Why would Napolean be gifted with such success then? He was master of Europe. That doesn't happen without consciousness allowing it -
What do these people want? What is their ultimate goal of the protests, destruction, etc Does anyone believe that anyone part of this organization has the answers to our collective problems? These people will lead humanity to hell. Why does consciousness allow this? I just don't get it. At least I have my peace in the wake of destruction. When you know yourself as consciousness, you are more resilient to the realities of potential societal collapse. Look at the character and make up of these people. Like wake up people. None of these people have claim on the truth. You ever wonder what hell looks like. Well here you go. and we will get more of this unless people wake up.
