@Zeroguy I am not your enemy. If there was any way I could help you I would it. But idk how to get through your psychological defenses. You can hate me all you want, but don't act like I am just hating on you after all of our interactions
-
Dude i am not hating on you. I really care about you and want you to succeed. But you have a mental wall up and you use it as a defense mechanism. I can either reinforce your ego, or I can try to call you out. I'm sorry it comes across as harsh. I was reacting to you hating on me too. The comments like incapable and living in my moms basement. You have an instinct to like dig at me and take shots.

You're so dishonest you forgot what it means to be honest. And I am creating. Just watch. Things are already in motion
-
I'm already in the process of getting that part of my life together. The better question is when are you going to drop your bs ego games and become honest

I don't know the difference between the two, I assumed they very similar I was not lying

I would say hold off on making a big financial commitment until you have clarity around your visions and goals. I think you are still in the process of learning and finding out what you want which is a good place to be, but don't jump the gun on spending large amounts of money yet because you may come to regret if your vision changes or you find you aren't as interested in the content as you initially thought

Yeah, I was more extroverted as a kid but over time I got stuck in my head and became intj. I am working on accepting myself, it takes time

Yeah, this is something all right wingers have to answer for. The amount of money that could have been spent elsewhere actually developing the country is mind blowing. I agree that a shift overall left in american politics is a good development. But there are clear blind spots that are not being addressed and that what's I want to see addressed as well -

That is true to some extent, but very incomplete and misleading. Was the democracy at stake from 2004-2020? There were plenty of left wing idiots in power with poor results. There are two sides to a political equation in the United States. There is good and bad on both, this forum just likes to shine the spot light in one area and dig their heels in. -

There is a difference between a governmental plan to solve an issue that targets personal responsibility and individual decision making, and a collectivist meme that reinforces victimhood mentalities and absolves people of personal responsibility and empowerment like you see with modern leftist thought. I would say if you really want to a make change innovate and invent something and use the excess resources to fund change without overhead and bureaucracy. That's the potential power of individual empowerment. And I don't have to blame white supremacy or the British for any of it! -

My issue is with modern leftists, Sam Seder, Michael Brooks, Vaush etc. I can't say i'm familiar with academic leftists but given what I saw at my time at higher education in Canada, I am not confident there is a lot of wisdom coming from academic leftists. I am for downplaying the primacy of systemic issues, so attention can be placed in areas where you will see actual results. Whatever is currently being done by politicians and organizers is clearly not very effective. Why is it the case that black people have seen improvements in the structural and systemic aspects of discriminations, and yet the actual outcomes are dramatically worse off than before the civil rights movements. In my view political thought is dominated by morons who lack wisdom and true intelligence, but I doubt that will change anytime soon -
Murat, always riding with the advanced guard, was so fearless and conspicuous in his extravagant uniforms that the Cossaks came to admire him calling out "Oorah! Murat! whenever they saw him, and hoped to capture him alive if possible

Lol. I have learned from the conversation. Hopefully people following have learned something too. There is very little effort required for these kinds of conversations -
Raptorsin7 replied to kieranperez's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
I am not denying that the environment is essential to personal responsibility. If the air was poisonous to breathe and our water all turned to poison then yes the conversation about personal responsibility would be misguided. But are you saying that is the case for poor communities, like black america? Is the government actively committing genocide against them? Are mobs of white people going around hunting innocent black people walking in the streets? The better question is what role do black people play in shaping their own environments? When 80% of children are born to 18% of the men leading to an epidemic of single motherhood, how are you going point to the environment without a serious analysis of individual decision making? The left won't even begin to discuss the relationship between choice, values, and individual change in improving society and poor communities. I already asked many times, show me where on the left there is a serious discussion of black single motherhood and welfare, or black on black violence? Or how the cultural values shape the outcomes? These topics get shouted down because people assume it will be used as fuel for the right, so they avoid the topic all together. Politicians, political organizers etc have more power and control when they can blame external structures like white supremacy, or blame republicans. But actually addressing the issues and doing boots on the ground work to change individuals is not something that these types have any expertise or interest in -

@Judy2 What kind of breakthrough are you hoping for? What made your good trips good? And how were you humbled by a bad trip? -
@Sine I think consistent meditation is the way to realize and embody your understanding that you are more than the body etc. Also, I think inspecting and understanding the mechanisms and cause/effect of your traumas can be very effective. I like Dr John Demartini's break through experience methodology. It's not as simple as just recognizing that the body and emotional trauma is illusory. I think there is a lot of trauma stored in the body, and our emotional traumas are felt in the body so it makes sense that you would seek to transcend the body entirely. But your framing is inaccurate imo. It's not about transcending the body perse, but more so about understanding why our body's feel the way they do, and taking steps to remedy whatever traumatic experience we have been dealing with

You can buy one of those night time eye covers with a built in blue tooth speaker. When you are in deep sleep your brain is the most receptive to new ideas, thoughts, beliefs. If you play subliminal binaural beats at night with a particular topic I believe it can help shape your reality with respect to that topic. When I listen to these at night with my eye cover, I can feel my brain being worked, and I've had noticeable changes a few hours after using the subliminal affirmations.

Good luck with your trip. What are your trips usually like? How often do you/have you tripped? It's worth bringing up with your friends, especially if you believe you can trust them. Maybe they will have an insight, or can offer guidance/support in some other way. Maybe you could apply for an extension? I think Universities/Colleges can be very understanding for people suffering through mental health issues. -

@omar30 Do people who go to the ME to fight for ISIS, Islam etc follow thr true islam or is it deception in your view? I always wondered if they were genuinely guided by consciousness to fight there -

@omar30 Well at least I can have 4 wives under Islam, so that can be something to look forward when the Caliphate rises -

Have you studied Christianity and Buddhism? How can you be sure Muhammed was the most enlightened being ever, when you have no direct experience of Buddha or Christ? What do you think of Salafi Islam? Is there any place on earth that practices the "true" Islam you are describing -

I think it is not accurate to say personal responsibility is understood and that is why it is not mentioned in leftists political thought. Look at leftist political organizations. The protestors, organizers etc clearly have a blue shadow, which explains the tolerance and condolence of looting and rioting behavior. This only becomes an issue after you transition into blue, at red there would be no reason to value community property, etc Take black america as an example. The community is struggling with the transition from red to blue. Stage blue is where values like personal responsibility, accountability, family structures etc are valued, and these are the values that are deficient in black america right now imo. I am not denying the importance of structural change, I would argue for both. I just want an honest conversation about the topic, that includes discussing all facets. There is a collective backlash against stage blues values on the left, and on the forum tbh, and that is why I believe values like personal responsibility are downplayed, because there is an automatic association between blue and low consciousness. If you were to give an analysis saying that black america is suffering from the toxic elements of red, and a struggle to transition to blue, i'd argue most leftists would argue that you are being racist and judging black people negatively. "What do you mean they are stage red, that is so racist, are you saying they are inherently stage red!". Yeah I never denied both elements exist. I'm arguing only one side is being discussed, and as a result you are only dealing with 1 side of an equation when trying to solve the issue that requires the other side. Can you explain to me how black america is in a pool of lava? The jews were in a pool of lava in the holocaust. To say black america is in an analogous situation to a situation like the Jews in Nazi Germany is not accurate imo. But this is how the issue is framed by leftist groups like BLM. They would rather blame an amorphous structure like the government and white supremacy, rather than deal with the nitty gritty reality of what is really going in their communities. -

@Salvijus I found the thread about Reiki haha. This quote stands out. It's not so black and white to say if I'm happy or not. I sleep well, I go to sleep at 9.30pm and wake up 5.30. didn't have a problems falling asleep for like 7months. That's a good, tangible criteria to tell my state of mind. Anyways. Best way to sense how I feel is by yourself by reading my posts. You can feel by reading them and you will make a better impression of it then if I give you my own biased opinion. But I would not trust your own judgement particulary because you like reiki, nootropics, book yoga, psychedelics. You probably also think that devotion is cult like behavior and volunteering is slavery. That already shows that your judgement in life is very superficial and bad. This is "being a spiritual fool starter pack". And btw there's not a single deeply happy person here on this forum. This forum is too low for such people. This forum is toxicity. A happy wise person would stay away from this forum as far away as he could. Only low compulsive arrogant toxic people come here. Including me. I have a compulsion to talk here. I still need to work on myself a lot. Which I do. On 1/23/2020 at 11:11 PM, Raptorsin7 said: I don't listen to anyone on here who isn't at least incredibly happy and feels love and joy in virtually all moments of their life. That is a good rule. You should not listen to me. But what I say is totally based and in line with what sadhguru says. He's happy. Listen to him. Don't listen to the forum memebers. You'll get wasted away in ignorance.

I would say for the current state of black america for example, that the focus needs to be changed from blaming white supremacy, the system etc. To a focus on personal responsibility and empowerment. How can you change the culture that reinforces single motherhood and criminal behavior? I want these questions to at least be addressed and dealt with in a meaningful way by people on the left like Vaush, I would agree they are interdependent. But only one side of the equation is discussed in online leftist political thought. When you point out something like black on black violence, or the dramatic single motherhood rates, there is a label placed on you and the discussion gets shut down before it begins. Can you show me where a leftist thinker seriously addresses the issue of black woman having multiple children by multiple men, and then rejecting male influence because the government can provide sufficient resources to raise the children. Which leads to men raised by only woman, which then contributes heavily to the dysfunctional culture of black america
