  1. Because it's the blind leading the blind. I could also start a website and then spend months repeating the same advice over and over which doesn't land, and accept thousands of dollars in donations while patting myself on the back for helping. But I wouldn't because it would be madness. This will probably will be a great thing tbh. He may be forced to self reflect and seek out genuine understanding so he can actually help people, and not leave people in a perpetual state of confusion
  2. You may want to consider not allowing mods to self promote their coaching in the future. It creates a false sense of authority on behalf of the mod, and can confuse seekers who don't know how to discern the quality of a teaching/teacher. Granted, I was an irresponsible student and seeker, and i've never seen anyone bring this up on here but i felt genuinely worse and bitter after my time talking to Nahm. I'm still not sure exactly what happened, maybe he was actually giving quality advice and in the future I will realize that he was right all along, but idk. I think the mark of a good teacher is their ability to influence and convey their understanding/energy to their student. If people are left constantly bewildered by your posts, I do not understand why someone would continue to post the same advice over and over without altering their approach and seeking alternative methods.
  3. The desire to find high quality teachers led me to find real guidance that actually works. Quality is the effect on your well being and enjoyment of life. So if you clearly see energetic shifts in your life from a teaching/teacher then you know it's quality. You probably won't hear it now, but maybe it will click at some point
  4. There are degrees of madness on the forum, but yeah everyone here is here for similar shadow reasons. My advice to you would be find quality teachers, and let go Abraham hicks (:
  5. @Nahm Could be worth adding to your website that you are being guided by a mad man.
  6. @Nahm Does it not strike you as maddening how many people just come away from your comments bewildered, or parrot your words without a genuine understanding of what they are pointing to? Have you ever thought, maybe there is something off about the approach and perhaps it's time to find more effective ways to express your understanding. Or maybe find someone with a genuine understanding so you have something meaningful to offer people, instead of headscratching blocks of text
  7. @SamC Notice right now that you are conscious as you read this. That sense of knowing that you know anything can be cultivated. It's like the more you notice it the easier it becomes to recognize, like working a spiritual muscle. Raising consciousness can come from becoming conscious or knowing the felt sense of being you. Your identity carries with it an emotional and felt energetic phenomena in your direct experience, and when you put your attention on it you can become more and more conscious of the different aspects of you
  8. @ZenSwift The best pointer would be to seek guidance from someone outside the forum. And then come back and laugh (:
  9. @Etherial Cat The guys on here aren't interested in learning about what woman want and their well being, they just want to know how hunt prey. I think unless you can open their minds to a win-win scenario, you will continue to bang your head against a wall
  10. I don't understand your point. If I point out x,y, and z problematic behaviors of a person why is the onus on me to then also conceive of alternative options that account for the problematic behaviors? Isn't it possible he is just engaging in those behaviors because of a lack of awareness around the harm they cause, and thus it warrants a response. What is the harmonious view on this topic then? What are you seeing that I am not?
  11. Ahh interesting. Do you have an idea about how long it will take before we will know one way or another how the ethics board decided on Dr K's conduct? I think mrgirl said he will attack the ethics board if they don't take action, but I think part of the reason he is doing this is because of a personal vendetta against Dr K so i'm curious to see how he would follow up
  12. Yeah, something definitely seems off about the whole thing imo
  13. Parts of my opinion are, but I think there is a strong case against Dr K here. Its possible I'm wrong on certain points, I guess the next step will be either a 1-1 conversation between them or if there's an update from the ethica board
  14. I wouldn't say I'm a big Mr Girl fan, I think the way he's going about this crusade is problematic, and his own shadow is shining through in some of his criticisms of Dr K. I'm definitely biased, but I think the question is whether the bias is coming after a critical mass of red flags were observed. I'm not saying Dr K is consciously engaging in deception. I just think hes unconcsious to the insidious elements of his own behavior and organization
  15. There are a lot of things to discuss. But when he told reckful that he would love him for 2 years and then took it back that was very irresponsible and harmful. I also have an issue with his back story and relationship with spirituality. He talks about how he went to an ashram, but he left prematurely because he realized he was running from life, which is fine. But he speaks like he's an authority on meditation, spirituality, etc which he isn't. He should be referring people to quality sources, not misleading people with his half baked meditation techniques. He strikes me as someone who cares about success, his self image, etc. I also think his wife seems like a sociopathic business woman, and I bet a lot of the problematic elements of the healthy gamer business model can be traced to her. He also calls reckful a very close towards the end of the video, and the way he describes him is very suspect imo. Reckful was not a clear thinking individual, and yet Dr K is trying to portray him as someone who he was not.
  16. Okay cool good luck
  17. @Tristan12 Wow I actually just watched on your videos on another person's journal, I didn't know you were part of this community. I liked your video on shame it was quite insightful. You can pm me I'd be happy to hear your approach and give you feedback
  18. It would be cool if I did consultations with coaches, healers, etc and gave them critiques and analyzed their approach to healing. I think I am a great prosecutor so I will ask hard questions that will force a person to deeply reflect on their coaching approach. The most insidious unethical coaching ive experienced occurs when the coach is completely unconscious to the harm they are causing and how they can mislead students. I had it happen to me and I still feel sick about it
  19. Never looked in his stuff idk
  20. Yeah I agree with that. but you are acknowledging levels in that, but i don't think the other guy was
  21. No i'm saying you can live according to their wisdom in life. Either you get a list of donald trump's wisdom or you get a list of the budhha's wisdom. Right now which book would you choose? Or you can give a non answer.
  22. So which would you choose? Does donald trump resonate more than the buddha
