  1. @JuliusCaesar Why can't joe dispensza manifest a better hairline?
  2. @Consilience My goal isn't about the energetic phenomena specifically, it's just a marker for progress. I think i've experienced liberation on psychidelics, or at the very least whatever I experienced on psychs I would be happy if that was the end result of sober practice. I agree about going on a retreat, I think that's something I'll have to do at some point if my practice doesn't evolve. The one issue I have with conventional meditation techniques and maybe with what the advice you gave is, it doesn't account for the surrender doership or control during practice. I think one major block I'm having right now is the sense of striving and trying to do meditation, but to observe and surrender the control seems like something I have to develop. How do you grapple with the paradox if doing formal practice and specific techniques, but also surrendering the sense of control during the practice?
  3. Can you expand on the technique? I'm skeptical about any simple meditation advice because there is a lot of nuance required to have an effective practice. Just do mindfulness is how you end up meditating for 20 years without any significant progress
  4. @Inliytened1 I used to get a lot of benefit out of cold showers but now I can't handle the cold and I resist too much. But I'll try it again thanks. Is Yantra a deity? How does that work
  5. Yeah i've had incredible energetic releases with psychs. but i've been unable to reach those releases on my recent trips, so i'm working on it sober. I have some MALT, that's the next one i'm going to try so we will see
  6. No I haven't but I wonder if that could be helpful, the muscles in my head and jaw are very clenched. Do i need a doctors note or can I find natural versions of muscle relaxants? Yeah i've done hundreds of sessions in the float tank, but I never had any truly relaxing experiences. I find it hard to fully surrender being away from my house and in the water
  7. @Thought Art Not anything diagnosed, but I am not healthy. I think unless unless you've released a lot of the tension and contractions in the body you are unhealthy. I'm assuming that 99% of seekers are unhealthy because they are disconnected from the true source of health and well being, so I don't think I have special health issues that normal people don't.
  8. @GreenWoods I got RASA in the past but I didn't feel anything, and I feel a lot of resistance to hyper controlling the breathe through shamanic breathing. I can already feeling releases from simple meditation, but I was wondering if maybe there were more efficient ways. The main sense of tension is from the sense of control and personal identity so I don't see a better approach to resolve this than simple meditation, other than using psychidelics. @Thought Art I was doing a few chigong exercises, but I fainted from a simple back stretch so I'm kind of hesitant about continuing to do it.
  9. @Kalki Avatar When you read acim just read and the let the energy of the words have an impact. You're not going to get some magical insight or great understanding that revolutionizes your life. It's a transmission of energy and you will move into the same frequency as acim. Read a few paragraphs of acim and notice your emotional/energetic state before reading and then during/after. Try meditating right after reading the words. It's not important to perfectly get and understand everything written, just letting the words wash over can have a strong impact.
  10. Omg. Kevin Samuels is dead. This is shocking news. I was really into his content, and this is a pretty incredible story. Maybe this karma? This guy was a lightning rod. Hate him or love him his content was pretty interesting. Source fresh and fit latest video.
  11. A mass awakening is very possible. All it would take is a wise teacher who was effective at sharing their wisdom and understanding with others. Imagine talking to someone and they have sufficient knowledge to give you a psychidelic high with simple practices. It's possible, people are only getting wiser. Think about how much wiser you are now than you were a few years ago.
  12. @hyruga It was an online event. About 30 people on a zoom call, where everyone can ask questions and interact.
  13. I highly recommend The Breakthrough experience seminar for anyone who can afford it. This was my first formal retreat/seminar and it's really empowering and impactful to go to a real master and be in their presence. Read his book first and see how it resonates. He might trigger you, I was triggered about how he was a Chiropractor but calls himself a Dr, but if you can put that judgment aside and listen to his words, you will see how incredibly wise and profound his work is. The guy is an Albert Einstein of personal development. It's pretty expensive, 1400 usd, but if you have time, spare money, and feel like you're plateuing or just want to try something different for personal development, I recommend doing this seminar. I think lots of people on this forum who are struggling with purpose and direction would really benefit. He gives a great presentation and it covers virtually all areas of life.
  14. Okay i re-read your post and i get where you're coming from more. I guess my overall point is to be able to react to what we see in the world without reaction and physiological/energetic response. The act of labelling the world into good and bad creates mental suffering, but if you can look through eyes of equanimity that's what I would want. But there is an integration with how to act in the world and how it informs your decisions etc, but I'm not there yet
  15. I just had a huge breakthrough after going through the breakthrough experience seminar. I can use the demartini method to resolve my judgments on reality. Homosexuality, incest, pedophilia, rape, murder, etc. Everything. The darker the better. Anything I judge. Basically, Dr Demartini has a technique that is designed to resolve your perceptions when they are distorted, by either judgments, resentments, infatuations, etc. Our harsh judgments on reality take up a lot of mental energy and cause a lot of suffering, so when we can resolve them we can liberate ourselves from the illusion of reality being one sided, and not equally full of good and bad. I bet most of us here are still stuck in illusion of morality and a one sided world. God is in everything, and so god loves everything. What is, is love. God loves trump's presidency, and god loves the rapist. They all serve. But we only see one side of life and demonize the other. You will be immortal. Because you will have accepted every part of mortality and been grateful for it.
  16. @Inliytened1 Yeah the issue is the whole idea of labeling something bad. If you label suffering bad you will resist and adverse to it, which just makes the suffering worse. I'm still struggling to fully integrate this. There may be other mental habits or attachments that are still creating a lot of suffering, but if I can let go of the good and bad mindset it would lead to a huge release of energy and growth
  17. @SgtPepper That's true, but the belief in right and wrong/good and evil creates suffering. I haven't transcended it yet, but it's pretty clear that the entire construct is an energetic drain and not necessary
  18. @SgtPepper I think you're justifying behavior that if you were sensitive to it you would realize carries lots of unnecessary suffering
  19. OMG. This guy is on another fucking level
  20. I highly recommend The Breakthrough experience seminar for anyone who can afford it. 21. Hey, I just had a huge insight into how to relax judgment and I bet all the judgmental people on this forum can benefit. Get into your meditative posture, cushion, laying down etc. And then become present, take a few breathes just try to settle in. Then I want to you to relax the part of your mind that judges. Now this is the tricky part, because it's subtle, and depending on your meditative experience this may be difficult to do. You can try repeating this thought, "what would my life be like if there was no judgment" or "who am I without the thoughts of judgment". Basically, you want to notice how after thinking that thought and really contemplating it, there is a subtle relaxation of the mind. You can become sensitive to that part of the mind relaxing, and this allows you access a state of presence and relaxation in your meditation sessions. Try it and let me know in the comments how it goes. Or if you have further questions feel free to ask
  22. @The0Self I'm saying it's love. I'm not saying anything about public policy. My post is a trigger for anyone who hasn't resolved judgement, i don't know what this means with respect to policy, society, etc.
  23. @The0Self @SgtPepper If you could wouldn't you love the rapist no matter what he did.
  24. @SgtPepper I still think you're judging, you've just gotten more sophisticated in your judgments. Idk what it would mean to live a life beyond morality, but as long as you categorize reality into good parts and bad parts, you will divide yourself and suffer it. Yeah. And for the people who hold out and say no THIS or THAT is truly bad, they just haven't seen how it's serving the greater good and evolution. I think the purpose is just to be ourselves in our true nature as unconditional love. And to love deeper and expand and evolve. But I'm not sure, this is just my thought. Maybe there isn't a purpose, like it's a false question. Maybe the assumption that there has to be a purpose isn't true, but idk
  25. @DrugsBunny Wow you are so wise lol. Idk man, judgment is judgment. I'd rather let go of all of morality then cling to it. I say see the good and bad in both homosexuality and rape. Seems like you want to cling to one side and say homosexuality is good and not bad, but rape is bad but not good. That's only going to create suffering. See the question to ask is why does my view trigger you? There are probably gay people who read what I wrote and aren't triggered, and yet you felt the need to comment and respond
